Some popular streamer (maybe Sneaky?) said recently that Shaco support is a thing. His justification was that it never feels good to play against a Shaco support, so there must be something to it.

My guess would be that, like with anything, the more reliable information you have the better you can make optimal decisions, this is amplified in high-skill environments where even the tiniest detail can drastically change the outcome. Shaco support might be viable simply because if it's played correctly, it will lower the opponents information and make them take sub-optimal decisions, and thus more likely to make mistakes, and in challenger ELO even one tiny mistake can be devastating, as shaco introduces so much uncertainty constantly; "Is this bush boxed?", "I can't see him, is he sneaking on me?", "Which one is the real one?", "Where did he teleport?", "There was a box here!?", "You fking idiots that was the fake one!", etc.

@Weba Azul yeah shaco's skill set may not be original but his personality is definitely expressed in his kit. I have tried this 2x so far and have won in low elo. The ealy umbral is so useful because you can be confident that they are not expecting you to jump in. The chaos that this thing inflicts on the enemy teams synergy is amazing. I can see why it works better in high elo but still does in low elo. I personaly made a variation instead of the everfrost i used liandrys so my clones are a lose lose situation where if either they kill it or let it auto it will do lots of damage.

@Setton so tell me again how it outscales when sweeper hard counters his whole kit? If you simply ignore AP shaco and not try to kill him, he can never kill you. Unless his team gets you low enough that an E kills

@@EVERYTYME Ap shaco mid is still very good, supp is worse due to lower income + more expensive items now that he doesnt go imperial mandate anymore. Sweeper does counter shaco but in soloq its rarely meaningful as most games 1-2 people buy it, and even then they can only sweep 1-2 boxes per sweeper, so shaco can always outpace them + spread boxes faster. If you like the pick then play it, it certainly isnt bad - pinkward is still mainly playing AP shaco, and is on the border of GM/Chall (if he hasnt inted it since I last checked)

I would like to point out that PinkWard himself has said in a few of his videos "if you want to play shaco support don´t do what I do". I agree with the 7,5 rating but Pink has a shit ton of experience with the champion and the game itself so it's definetely not easy and borderline impossible to play this strat in low elo if you're solo

Yeah even pinkward dies like 10 times a game. It's not an easy pick, but it is very fun. So I recommend it for fun, and if you put the time in to learn it - you might be rewarded

@@HappyChimeNoises doesnt work in low elo if your lane partner doesnt help. Usually they just assume troll pick and not commit to any trades and just watch :(

This! Support Shaco is best with AP, going AD is more of a “for fun” pick, but PinkWard is just so good at Shaco that he can afford to mess around a bit. Shaco support is my current main pick and trying AD on support is kind of a hellish experience

3:00 Its actually something that started long before either of those players picked it up. I remember using this exact start on Twisted Treeline. Granted its not a "support" role in 3's, however thats how I played it often. Feeding kills to my two buddies, while feeding the rage the other team was feeling.

This hob trick has been used by ad shaco since the rune came out. With the lethal tempo rune you can play tanky fighter for the same reason

Good Job A video of big mechanic to carry easily for whos low elo and wanna rank up. That has been op for around 7 years now. Almost no one did it, especially in high elo but now probably will be seen in more ranked games.

One of shacos big weaknesses is if you cant just burst them down and instead of runing they turn and fight you a lot of shacofights become skill matchups you have to outplay alot you dont get to statcheck anyone unless ur really ahead making ad shaco hardet toplay then ap since ap you can just place thingsdown and run away if they chase you youl probbly win ur more like a singed

Looks like he doesn't really build Essence reaver (at least he hasn't in 30 days) but rather builds umbral glaive and serpents fang second sometimes which I think is really smart as you can proc the item with clone and boxes and definitely would be worth mentioning!

sanguine + botrk shaco into full tank was my first hit on masters since his clone had 5 atkspd, spam botrk procs, and could not be peeled off, so cheesy. Especially since sanguine made you hve a stupid fast clear fullhp and solo drag in 6 seconds flat

you should make a video about carnarius playing a lot of nasus mid hes a challenger player who plays nasus in top but sometimes mid. i think it wrks well because mid lane is full of champs who need to scale before getting damage so he gets lots of free stacks.

Clone bug is not new, you can watch videos from after the rune rework from ChaseShaco, Shaclone and yes even Pinkward that shows that the procced runes, pretty much regardless of which one we are talking about, persist on the clone until it explodes. Hail has been meta on ad shaco for this reason since the rune rework.

Indeed, once I discovered it I've been using it pretty often in rgms and arams. Ad shaco in urf is a pleasure to play, oneshot then disappear, rinse repeat, but not when they have the 200 years champs

@@howdocowsfly Considering you can't stop it unless you let a rune run out fully before hitting R, I would say no. Its also persisted even through the Shaco "rework" debacle when they made his Q visible from fog of war.

NGL, i played shaco since before release. I also player Newerth and DOTA....Those were days lol...super OP warwick, jax and shaco. After the release it was a bit more balanced, until they added stacking bloodrazor lol. Running Shaco with x5 blood razor and boots was criminal.

just tried this out in a blind pick and man its so good, your teammates for whatever reason don't understand what roams are and think only standard play is the only way so you might get some flame. I played 4 games and won all 4 and got flame from some lanners until 15mins in when all lanes were winning. its shocking how bad the community is in blind pick.

i main cho support and have fought this type of shaco quite a few times. the easiest counter to this is just stay next to the ADC all the time. my flaming cloak or jak sho procs will show where shaco is so he cant just kill them. cho has this weird thing where if he Qs shaco and his clone the real one takes a bit more damage and if shaco cloned while within ult range then only the real one stays high lighted.

The real shaco also has a gold border around his mythic if you check items, while the clone doesn't have that. Not sure if it's useful but I just wanted to point that out.

The HoB bug has always been a thing on shaco. Unbreakable bond and pinkward did not ‘discover’ it nor are they the only ones that abuse it
