Hey guys! Hope you all are doing good! Been trying to get a nice kob but man it was not easy! We did some reef fishing and also some fun days around the mountain. After some crazy busy water I eventually got some decent size kob, what excitement landing these beauties! Caught them off Strand Reefs, Cape Town, South Africa. Used my usual kob rig(link below) and some fresh Chokka/Squid for bait.

Only true anglers understand this but yr vids make it easy to understand the hard work in between. 👍 It's like we right there fishing with you or at least preparing us for when we do get there. Just to Iet everyone know you can use any reel on the reef, when you get home teaspoon of bi carb Luke warm water. Sorts your reel out.

Hi Clent, yes sounds like a plan. I usually do rinse my reels off in luke warm water. Will try the bicarb in future, can see how it would help with corrosion or the salt that packs on. Thanks for commenting 🎣🎣🤙🏻

How do you take your cigarettes out on the reef without getting them or the lighter wet? 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Ilyaaz, 😅😂 put it on top of your cap and pull your buff over it, can also put it in a jiffy bag but it's easier without but smoking is limited on the reefs, too busy with the waves and fish, probably a good thing 🎣🎣🤙🏻

Hi Neil, dit was die eerste keer in 16 jaar wat ek so om die berg vang wat ek die harders so gesien het. Dit is verby Gordon's Baai op Clarence Drive, so 3km verby ooskus visserye. So skyns oorkant Steenbras dam se oprit is daar n parkeer area. Hoop dit kan jou help. 🎣🎣🤙🏻

Hi Riaan. Dis die Rovex 8000. Ek spoel dit gereeld af en af en toe moet ek maar bearings verander. Ek maak dit gewoonlik oop na n paar sessies riwwe en olie die bearings. Daar is n video in my uploads waar ek die katrolle verduidelik.🎣🎣🤙🏻
