I’m almost 70 , and my wife listens to country , they all sound the same today, but we’ll be driving , on a short trip and I know the radio station, it plays , ROCK , and I like to piss my wife off , AC/DC will come on the radio ,I know , 99.9% of their music, but I will jack up the volume , until it makes the truck , boom , and just look over at her , and scream ,” now … , that’s music” ! AC⚡️DC …FOR fuckin EVER ! ! ! I loved this band , from the first song , I heard back in 75-77 , and I saw them ,5 times , 2 with Bon , and 3 with Brian , and I was never let down , their music , still makes the hair on the back , of my neck , stand up ! By far , from back in 73 - 91 , I saw everybody , who was anybody , all great bands , but AC⚡️DC , was by far , my all time , favorite , no question !

AC/DC could come out now starting from the beginning and they'd still be completely fresh and different and be the biggest thing that would happen to rock music for the next 40 years.

Apparently, Mal was the real boss and ideas man out of the two brothers. At the beginning, although he was capable of playing lead guitar, Mal decided he wanted to be the rhythm guitarist so he could spend more time focusing on drinking ☺

Angus would come home from school and then practice untell he would fall asleep with his guitar in his arms and wake up and have to go to school again the man was a machine when he was young that's what made him who he is today

AC/DC understands what many bands don't. More doesn't equal BIGGER all the time. Every time you add a track it takes away from whats already there . You eventually end up with a recording so dense the listener can't get their ear around any individual sounds , there is no depth to it, just width .

They say less is more. Which is BS. More is more. And a lot of times more is way to fkin much. 10 course fine dining is okay. But most times all you need is a steak, potato, and a beer. If we're feeling fancy maybe throw a couple of shrimp on the plate. That's really the essence of Rock n Roll.

It's hard for the average Joe to imagine how it must be to create music at the level these 5 guys can. Phil and Cliff "Locked In" and the brothers just lay down the magical riffs like clockwork. Absolutely one of the G.O.A.T.s. R.I.P. Mal, we all miss you more than you'll ever know!

It's a business, not a band. What do you know about average Joe? The thing is, no one except Angus and Mal are contributing to the creative process, they're hired guns. It's Young & Co.

@@chriss2452 Sure glad your here to clear that all up for us? Thanx for the inside scoop on the Young brothers. Nobody knows the story of them except you, apparently. The point I was trying to make wasn't specifically about AC/DC, but the creation process of songs and that style of rock n roll. Drums and bass are the foundation you build upon, period.

As an Australian who grew up with AC/DC as a local band who played at our school they are nothing short of amazing and anyone who can capture them in a recording has to be special. Their music before Brian Johnson is incredible home grown Aussie rock. Rock and Roll ain’t noise pollution!

Nice guy, but you wouldn’t want to mess with Mal either! What an amazing legacy, and the band that made me play guitar, so thanks Mike for mixing that so well as Thunderstruck changed my life forever. I know sometimes people criticize them for it, but I like the fact that AC/DC’s sound has stayed consistent over the years. Ya they haven’t really experimented much out of their boundaries I guess, but so what? They are the best at what they do and they have a formula that works, why change it?

@@oinkooink Well ofcourse is not as loud as in a stadium. You’re absolutely right. And (Malcolms) sound was never much overdriven. Rather on the edge of break up. But I think a 100W marshall is still loud at that point. Sorry for my poor English. I’m Dutch. Funny, Angus lives 35 km away from here in a town called Aalten. People over there who met him tell me he’s a very modest and friendly guy. Once he saw some young boys band rehearsal. He went away and came back and brought them an Old tape recorder.
