To effectively kill them, move EXTREMELY slowly and then strike fast when you're at a short/close enough distance. The fly can't see your hand move because it's too slow to percieve. It's similar to the way humans can't see grass grow, too slow to percieve. This works with most other insects, though wasps and bees are slightly more intelligent.

Another fun fact about flies percieving time in slow motion. Everyone always tries to squeeze a fly with their hand against the wall really fast, because they can usually escape before your hand reaches them, well that's because they can see your hand coming at them at a high speed. If you move your hand very slow they won't actually notice it and it allows you to kill the fly with ease.

Pro tip on attacking flies: Use both hands coming from opposite directions and try and get as close as possible before delivering the blow. Works like 99% of the time. If you don’t kill things, you can make your hands more like cups and capture it or stun it depending on how hard you initiate the clap.

Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how deal with society, and know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

I think that was based off of how chickens (Who are the closest living relative of a T-Rex} have eyes specialized to detect movement, because of how the chickens need to spot small bugs' movement and stealth predators. Once one of my pet chickens saw a little bug crawling on the sidewalk from like 10 feet away.

Fun facts! Snakes use their heat pits which can be located on a snakes face to sense heat using special cells. Snakes also have poor eyesight and cannot see well and can only detect heat up to about a meter away. Additionally, mostly only see colors from blue to green on the color wheel. Colubrids (rat snakes, corn snakes, garter snakes, milk snakes, hognose snakes, etc) can still sense heat despite not having designated pits for sensing heat, which in turn means they cant sense heat as well as other snakes like vipers, pythons or boas that do have heat pits. Since snakes have poor eyesight their sense of smell has increased over the years of evolution and are some of the best smellers on the planet their sense of smell can rival or surpass that of some dogs! Snakes also have taste buds but instead of them being on their tongue they are on the roof of their mouth and they dont have very many so they dont taste much of anything.

it's not the most accurate though, horses basically see in blue and yellow. So the world looks the same for them except without red, so orange is more of a yellow gray and red is just straight gray^^ I believe UC Davis has more info on how they see :D

It’s called science experiments. Scientists probably made certain experiments to determine how an animal sees things through the use of prey/food, hydration, and more which can give them an idea on how the animal sees the world around it.
