Today I am walking you through the very popularized topic of NAD and its associated NAD-boosting therapies. My goal is for you to have a better understanding of what NAD is, why its decline is related to diseases of aging, and how it can actually be used as a therapy.

00:00 - Intro
00:50 - What is NAD?
02:00 - NAD precursors
03:05 - Where is NAD found in the body?
05:20 - What is depleting your NAD?
10:25 - NAD and the heart/cardiovascular system.
13:35 - NAD and the brain.
17:24 - NAD and the muscles/exercise performance.

NAD+ has changed our lives. I'm 59 and my mother is 81... I feel like a young man again... I've lost 39 pounds... it's just unbelievable, but people notice it. My resting heart rate is 62 and my low is 42... Blood work came back with no problems at all...my 81 year old mother too.. this is only part..we take a few vitamins too and stopped processed foods and oils..... I use lard, real butter, olive oil, coconut oil and fresh farm eggs

Informative presentation. Nad is produces and confined only in the Cytoplasm and the Mitochondria.. What's the lifespan of the synthetic NAD out of the Cytoplasm? What is the size of the synthetic NAD to that of nature's NAD and where are the NAD receptors?

Thanks for the great comment! I’ll typically do a short series (of 4 or so) of them to build up levels quickly and then maintain once every couple of months, but it is patient specific.

Hello and thank you Dr for the in-depth review it was very informative, to say the least. I'm interested in the parkinsonian correlation and was wondering if you had any suggestions for a recommended mail order version of NAD?

Hi! I’m glad you enjoyed. One of the more reputable sources of an NAD precursor is TruNiagen. They are big enough that they will typically ship to a wide variety of places.

NMN .....WOW this has been a game changer for me my joints are now tighter no more sore feet , better prostrate. I have only been on this 3 months. My age 59 I don't know if this would work on a 30 year old I should have gotten my NAD levels checked prior to taking this.

Would be great understand the difference on blood NAD levels between NMN and exercise. For example, does NMN work better than exercise when it comes to NAD+ increase? Maybe add the study papers in the video next time, that would make it more trustworthy. Thanks for the great content :)

I would also love if they would study that more directly! I quote studies but I don’t link them because I want people to look it up. Everyone has their biases and I’m a strong believer that you shouldn’t take anyone’s opinion for gospel ❤️

@@dr.robinlewis That does not make 'any' sense doc. If you have studies that you read to help you form an opinion...then it stands to reason that 'we' would like the same info to make our own opinion. The mere fact that we 'looked up your video' already says that we are on the quest for information/studies. Your explanation for not sharing the studies tells us that you are not genuine and that maybe you have an underlying goal. Maybe you want us to make an appointment with you?

As I started Keto and 16/8 IF a few years ago I took 500mg of NMN in the morning and evening. It did seem to boost my energy levels, but it was quite expensive. I transitioned to 500mg of NR morning and evening after a few months of this, but by then I had lost 40 lbs. I was never sure what of these things, weight loss or supplementation was more effective. I am 57 now and have a BMI of 22, I don't supplement for NAD synthesis currently, and I have tremendous energy compared to when I was 52 with a 29 BMI.
