This guy has the right attitude in terms of adaptations. They're different mediums.
@DaRunningMan
@DaRunningMan Жыл бұрын
Um... no. He got paid and more people bought his book. That's why he came to terms of it. But "different mediums" doesn't excuse the hipster take that all movies outside of Oscar Bait have to be now. And that means that there is a cultural mandate thanks to hipsters that every other character is a snarky wannabe comedian throwing one liners all the time. There was a time when action movies can be made that took themselves seriously. Now everything has to be like a MCU movie with annoying character cracking corny one liners all the time which is horrible especially since those MCU movies ignore the serious tone of the original Marvel comic books to make everything into practically a parody of itself.

@@DaRunningMan I think this is a bit harsh personally, but I get what you mean. Matt Damon gave a great answer in like a piece that GQ or smthn like that did where he said, Movies have to do this now because of the money. Paraphrasing his words, but a movie like Good Will Hunting or Behind the Candelabra being profitable in today’s market is fiction. You have to appeal to the lowest common denominators and loudest communities to gain viewers even if 80% of those viewers hate it. They still get paid no matter what the audience thinks, as long as they see it. And unfortunately, its a trend now to go see movies in order to join the hate online. I think it is nonsense, but from a purely financial perspective, it usually makes sense.

@@JayTheDodo my brotha, you missed the mark on this one lol. Re read the comment and think - "choreography done in a realistic way." Choreographed meaning it's obviously fake, however there are no wired 540° kicks. When the main character is fighting multiple attackers, the attackers dont just wait their turn to get one touched. The main character gets fucked up multiple times, both shot and stabbed. Nobody said it was "real", just choreographed in a more realistic way than it's modern theatrical action focused counterparts.

You know what the key is with this dilemma of chosing a Hollywood star or an unknown. Pick an unkown character for the lead roal, the protagonist and pick a Hollywood star for the antagonist. You get the sell numbers because of the Hollywood name and the quality of an unkown actor to identify with in the movie. Meanwhile you have an A class actor for the bad guy. You get the focus on the mean character without the prejudices of a star and the quality of the star actor for the supporting role. Perfect

The Conspiracies, the Fights, The Sports Car stunt scenes. The down to earth, composed, protective, committed and soft corner side of Ryan Gosling when protecting Julia Butters. The Mastermind planning of Chris Evans throughout the whole movie. This Movie proved it can really compete with James Bond Movies. Need more Part 2 and 3. Ryan Gosling and Ana De Armas carried the movie. Whenever Chris Evans was “acting” on screen it felt like Steven Seagal was going to appear and save the day.

Chris Evans is actually not a great actor. He's decent at best, and was just literally perfect for Captain America. His acting is everything else is serviceable at best. If anything, I think he's much better as a comedic actor as proven in Knives Out and his small part in Scott Pilgrim.

I will definitely read that book bc I loved that movie. Ryan Gosling was a F’N savage in that movie he didn’t need the dialogue to sell anything it was the subtleties and looks that completely sold it plus the one liners it’s epic I don’t think anyone could’ve done that better than him.

I think Joe should have Rhonda Byrne on the show or Esther Hicks. I know Joe isn't into the law of attraction but has mentioned that their is something to it, so it would be nice to see him speak to one of these leaders in that space to figure things out.

The reason why Stephen king HATED Stanley Kubrick’s ‘The Shining’, is due to Kubrick’s depiction of Wendy. King wrote Wendy to be a strong and smart protagonist. Kubrick portrayed Wendy as a whiny, emotionally unstable little girl, who wouldn’t stop crying.

Not really cause in the movie Wendy takes care of Danny , Jack and the whole hotel bc Jack is just sleeping and typing nonsense. By the end of the movie she bested Jack and all the ghosts in the hotel and managed to escape.

I’m only 50 miles away from this spill . I didn’t hear about it until a week later . During that week I had headaches and chest pains , also a wierd tingling on my tongue that I was ignoring, then I find out about the chemical spill. But for the past two days I havnt had stmtoms . However yesterday it was 69 degrees, with 69 mile and hour west to east winds. That isn’t normal this time a year I’m northeast Ohio , I’m sure the government is manipulating the weather to try and push the chemicals out . Good luck with that .
