I bought some on Lazada, in Thailand at 0.16 cents usd per new battery. They are real, chep Chinese batteries, but at this price... I don't know how they can even make them.

I´m using NKON Sony VTC5A 2S batteries and I´m very happy. Good price, good capacity and good discharging rate for drones.

VTC5 and VTC6 are one of the best cells out there. Of course, if you get originals

I've seen them 10000mAh in an 18650's, the Chinese marketing machine in full swing!!! Using high discharge 20A 2500mAh LitoKala in 4S2P configuration on all my drills, and also flown my drones with them. SO far, no complaints.

everything above 3000mAh is a scam unless it's a pretty expensive low currect, high capacity cell. And none of the cheap one are like that

@@PSAfterHours wrong, I bought some off of aliexpress for 2.50 each Great discharge and capacity, too. Gonna fly with that drone for sure. One problem was that shipping took a bit longer

Mmhm burning lithium Great video! Btw I ordered some Daweikala 18650 cells for roughly 2.50 each, they seem to perform amazing, discharge current is more than 10-15 amps, capacity not tested, but I estimate it being around 3Ah by discharging it halfway with a coreless motor that drew 3.3 amps from it constantly If you mind checking on them, I can send the link

Great video. IMHO the only way to make sure you are getting decent Li-ions rather than crap (and not pay too much) is to buy from a specialist supplier like NKON (EU) or Fogstar Wholesale (UK). Also, if you can, it's worth getting more than you need at the time when they are cheapest and in stock, since price and availability fluctuate widely with the global supply chain problems. For example, just a few weeks back I bought 150 x Sinowatt 25SP 18650s (unusually good quality Chinese batteries that actually slightly exceed their specs!) to build a pair of 13s5p e-Bike batteries. These cells cost me about $2.60 each including tax. Now I just checked again and they are out of stock, or twice the price from other suppliers - so I'm glad I got the extra 20 cells that I can use to make RC packs.

I am just happy your setup did not light on fire, that's at least something positive about these. :-) One of these even promised Ultrafire... Like you said, you don't get what is written on the label. Not even fire.

Personally I don't care about weight or whatnot. Only thing I worry about will the shit catch on fire or explode ? No overnight charging obviously, and handle it with care will it happen then ?

Thanks Pawel! So if you need a lot of capacity and have room for it, but not necessarily need high output power, Ultrafires are the best :)

Common sense should always prevail BUT some of the cheap batteries like ultrafire (if not fake) r ok. 1 should know the biggest red flag with 18650s is capacity, anything over 3000mah is bogus usually, vapers know most cheap batteries can't handle the fast discharge rate thats y they usually say for low voltage devices, fog star being a surprisingly good. You get what you pay for "usually" I bought 8 batteries for 10 £ and they outlasted the Samsung ones from new but unfortunately they were unbranded. The ultra fire battery you have must b fake though as me and a few friends all have them for vaping and they are decent

China gets a lot of flak since it's a huge country and these batteries are easy to produce. People forget about the likes of Huawei, Xiaomi on smartphones, BYD on EVs and DJI for drones. 😅

Seeing the ultrafire and evrefire ones on there just reminds me of what someone once said: If you use batteries with "fire" in the name, you're gonna get fire. Really, why would any battery manufacturer (even a dodgy one) name their batteries "fire"?

Ive been told China owns a majority of the precious metal mines around the world required to build these batteries.. to the point to where, we would have catastrophic shortages if they cut us off.. I know craftsmanship is lacking in Chinese exports, but you would think the batteries would be fine
@PSAfterHours
@PSAfterHours 2 жыл бұрын
It does not work like that. It's not that they can't do a good battery. Just the manufacturer decided to do it like that. Sell crap to dumb westerners. That's all

You forgot to charge them properly, those 9900mah batteries need charging to much higher voltage. About 9v should do it. That's how they get the capacity so high.. Make sure you don't get a fake though, must have fire in the manufactures name...
@PSAfterHours
@PSAfterHours 2 жыл бұрын

@@PSAfterHours The joke is the manufacturer has "fire" in the name and that's what you'll get when you charge it "up to capacity" i.e. 9v. 😂
