Only played a few times but, that game had BOTS. Having bots is such a rare thing nowadays and it’s great seeing some games still having them around

I love the look and feel of Killzone 2, WW2 in space. Shadowfall feels unfinished to me

I personally loved the Killzone games but this one kind of just kicked it away for me. I agree with you wholeheartedly that the story could’ve been so much better if they just put more with the character development. I would’ve also loved to play more as Maya in the end to see what she did next or heck have another game with her as the main character. Hopefully Killzone will rise from the ashes one day, hopefully.

Funny how the best game in the franchise is on a handheld that sold a few dozen units.

I will say this: While Shadow Fall's story mode is arguably mediocre; I had a BLAST playing the team-based multiplayer. The classes, loadouts and map design kept me hooked on the 24-player objective-based matches for well over a year, and it was a great pass-time until Bloodborne came out.

I want to love this game. It has amazing graphics, and the level design is what keeps me coming back. Helghast side has a Blade Runner-esque atmosphere while ISA is akin to Fifth Element. I want to live in its world. The problem is that the stealth element is severely broken, and shooting mechanics don't feel fluid. The gameplay is a definite mixed bag of unfinished implementation.

Killzone has a great mythology that could be read about on the website however it never translated well in the game. Now that they have talented writers, I really hope the next Killzone is rebooted cause the story has alot of potential.

This game was ok, but it was pretty disappointing to me after playing Killzone 3. I tried to enjoy this, but I went back to Killzone 3 and it was so much better. It sucks there's no more multiplayer in it, but I'm thankful for bots.

They didn’t have a good story writer, besides that the game is cool, and specially multiplayer part. Killzone 2 multiplayer is unforgettable. In killzone 3 they had operation mode which was a blast. In shadowfall multiplayer is ok

Killzone 3 had amazing units/Walkers/vehicles it had amazing design Like that element That was unique for Helghan.

Your intro alone made me subscribed, the nostalgia, brings me back when i was 9, i remember when my parents didn’t have enough money to buy me and my brother a playstation for christmas, but my uncle was nice enough to surprise us. Ahhh the good ol’ days.

The fact that this game didn't have the trademark helghan intro speech was an early warning about how terrible the story was going to be. This is an awful story, the devs choice to destroy helghan in KZ3 has ruined the helghast as a faction. It will never feel like they have any substantial power, that anything is at stake, that they have anything to fight for anymore. I think the devs wanted the series to end at KZ3 and had no plans for future games. Killzone had the most sympathetic villians of any FPS to date and we never needed to have the duality of the ISA or the vektans pushed into our face, we already saw it throughout the series. In an attempt to humanize the helghast they've been reduced to a shadow of their former selves with no real explanation to what the fuck their current motives and goals are because they removed the speeches and we never see anything from their perspective in the game. If there is ever going to be another killzone it will probably take place in the past, because of how difficult this trash is to salvage.

Small correction, you meet Echo before the terrorist attack on Vekta City. Another thing, Kellan doesn't truly leave the VSA military, he follows Echo because they both know that someone is about to kickoff fullscale war between the Vektans and the Helghast. Finally, a war never truly erupted between the Vektans and Helghast in this game. Echo killing Sinclair is supposed to keep the war from kicking off, because Sinclair is pushing for war with the Helghast throughout the entire game. None of what I've mentioned fixes the game's story, but it helps to be accurate when critiquing something. I don't know, for all it's faults, I still enjoyed Shadow Fall and it's story, but then again, I just love Killzone's setting and the Cold War in SPACE idea got me hooked. Weapons are fun to use too. I'm hopeful that one day we'll get a Killzone game that truly lives up to the potential this franchise has.

I still loved my time with Shadow fall, had a blast. Shame it died so quickly. Plus you can get it for a fiver new and even less preowned, so if you're on the fence give it a try

Killzone 3 had the best gameplay

For some reason, I only remember Shadowfall for doing the "characters emote obnoxiously close to the screen" thiing. Ugh.

I found that whenever there were an objective or hint on the screen the font was so small that I had to stand in front of the tv to read it before it disappeared 3 seconds later. And then not having a briefing option to see what you’ve been told really doesn’t help with tutorial sections and navigation

Man, I still think this is one of the best looking games I've ever seen, and how it resembles the looks of the first game...

The LSR44 Spoor is probably one of my favorite video game guns in history. The design is just so badass. If they ever come out with a new game, that gun needs to be in it.

BTW I just realize what scope is that (I'm talking about the one on LSR-44 SPOOR in the thumbnail)

I beat this game twice when it first came out, and the only level I remember is the forest level, if they kept that style of levels, I would have remembered it a lot more.

Killzone 3 was and still is to this day my favourite game mainly because I was a beast playing online. The online play on that game has not been matched by any game since. It was perfect.

I remember this being one of the first games I bought for my ps4, cause while I didn't have a ps3 i heard a lot of good things about the Killzone series. To put it simply i was very unimpressed and i couldn't even get past the second mission without a game breaking glitch

Killzone was a series that i appreciated when i had a PS2. But, after replaying Killzone 1 HD and Killzone 3 (not killzone 2, not yet)....I just think that the thing that attracted me was the Weaponry and the Lore (that i had to search about it) Killzone Resistance on PSP and is the one that i want try it out

If there was like a large scale war setting where you had operations to help while your team slowly gets more powerful kind of like Deus ex or the new cod

I stopped playing when my drone broke. It got stuck and I needed to use it to hack. I restarted the mission and my drone stopped working.

I loved the first Killzone with it's multiplayer mode and liked the campaign with 4 different characters which had 4 different gameplay style. For example, Luger the assassin, Rico the slow tank type of guy with a big armour, heavy machine gun combined with a rocket launcher. Hakha, half human and half Helghast, has a knife like Luger and handles Helghast weapons better. Templar, the regular ISA character with an assault rifle and underbarrel grenade launcher.

I remember finding out that besides the armor of the Helghast, there is very little to do with Jin-Roh. I was quite disappointed.

Just finally got around to finishing the story from my backlog. Never played kz1 or 2 but played and loved 3, finishing shadow fall.. im so confused at how bad this ended up being. It really makes me want a reboot taking parts what make each great into one amazing story. Sad

I never played the game, but I did bump the Helghast OST that Lorn made for Shadow Fall for ages. The OST for the Helgans in this game was mind-blowingly good.

On my second play through of kz:SF the game glitches where enemies kept spawning non-stop and then I was thrown up into the air and then the game took me to the main menu, when I tried to start up again I was checked pointed in the sky. I found the game dead glitchy and I got it with my PS4 (brand new) so it wasn't scratched

It can be released today and the graphics would be able to keep up with competition

Its pretty wild that this game was a launch title and yet, here in the last months of this entire console generation, these graphics are still fantastic

This game was, in my memory, aggressively mediocre, and wasted the potential of an amazing antagonist from a previous title (Stahl) on a weak plot twist. Art style and music in this game helped carry it above the threshold of being easily forgotten, as did its heritage.

A game like this seems like the sort of thing that should want to show you things, to show you its world and what you can do in each individual level. Ideally, this game would be visibly excited to show you the world its made with large-scale cities of distinct construction based on who owns them. One look at a city and you'll know who's running it. Alternatively, the game could also pull this idea on its head with a city that was recently overrun by its enemies, so a city that looks friendly or unfriendly is actually the complete opposite. This game should want to show you how big it is with massive backgrounds that contain part of the story; such as cities or villages with ships dropping soldiers into them for a large-scale battle. This game should have been offering more interesting things for the player to experience and allowing the gameplay to mold into it very well. If a gunfight was slow paced and gluing you to one bit of cover it should be giving you the right weapons, a lot of ammunition, the right music, and the right things to say. A fast-paced shootout from corridor to corridor should be fast-paced and tense. You should feel choked in the tight hallways and scared of the enemies that might be waiting to ambush you from hallways and rooms.

My best friend loved this game, it was his first game when he got a ps4 he was trying to tell me how great it was and I was like dude nah if you played the first 3 or even just second two games on ps3 you'd be highly disappointed in this killzone

I'd love a game where we play a Helghast soldier during the invasion of Vekta.

When I bought my PS4, this was the game it came with. I played the entire campaign and lots of multiplayer. The graphics are amazing. But I think the Campaign feels scattered and a bit unbalanced. The multiplayer is great, always getting into a online game, servers are operating great. But I feel jammed so much stuff and it overloads you essentially, lots of cutscenes in the beginning but it does formulate a half decent story. But this game was awesome when it first was released, now not as much

I enjoyed all Killzones except shadowfall. It definitely missed it's Mark on drawing in new players and creating an amazing launch title. Hopefully somehwere down the road GG decides to remaster the orginals if not make a new one.

I think they should have had 4 missions at the start a training program then 3 important missions to complete to build the character a bit.
