I don't know if it's weird, but I enjoy each character about the same amount. They all have different quirks to their personalities and fighting styles that allows me to appreciate each one. For example, even if both Hanayama and Jack are more "brawlers", Hanayama relies on brute strength while Jack relies on savagery. The only hierarchy in Baki is that you have to be Japanese to stay relevant lol. I don't mind that though. I love how we can now place yamcha and tien in the same category as the completely "useless" hercule. The last time tien did something useful was against cell after all. I see why Baki's absurdity did not ruin fights for you, I wish it was the same for me. Kengan Ashura is probably the closest series to Baki in terms of raw fighting. But it is still less exciting for me since there is a monetary reason for the Annihilation Tournament. Although I guess that does make the series more realistic in a different way lol. Oh yeah, the pickle arc is definitely going to up the ante considering Jack and Retsu's new "additions". I just didn't want to include "spoilers" for the people who only watched the anime so far.
