It's a perfect fit since Trunks ends up breaking his swords anyway 😆 I can see them becoming great friends! Seven coming up with plans to woo thirteen and DBZ Trunks coming up with plans to woo his father. Both of them also are strong, but don't desire being the strongest.

Just from the concept alone, it's a tool designed to be a weapon. Yeah, it's primary purpose is to stab stab stab... but the fact that it's actually a thousand tiny shards lends itself well to defensive techniques or even things like embedding shards in a thing and swing _it_ around instead. It's basically telekinesis with extra steps. Edit: The implication that the hilt itself is sentient too may mean that the blade acts more like a partner than an actual tool, being able to act on it's own with suggestions from Seven.

Tbh the filler in this show is actually what makes this show good cause of the world building and characters but I'm surprised how some people are calling important episodes filler cause the majority of season 4 isn't exactly filler and there's a good amount of episodes that seem like they aren't but actually are So assuming the 2 love stories between redtooth and chairman jiang as well as PB11 and dai chun will be important to the story later not to mention the prince and colas arguable love story which has already been confirmed to be relevant that leaves 6/14 ep in S 1. 3 if you want to count king of chicken 5/10 ep in S 2. 4 if counting king pheasant 3/10 ep in S 3 And only 1 in season 4 assuming that crisis on chicken island 2 is also important to the main story which given that red tooth and the prince of Stan intervened I'd count it as such not to mention the opening potentially spoiling who kills white fox

very very few episodes are filler, an episode exploring the world or the characters of the story isn’t what I’d call filler. Nowadays if an episode isn’t directly related to the A plot it’s called filler when that shouldn’t be the case

@@Jidom_101 true world building is an important aspect of the story but it should only be considered filler unless it never ties in with the story For instance amphibia has allot of seemingly filler episodes but given that it all comes back in season 3 to play a role in the endgame then most if not all of those episodes can't really be considered filler In scissors sevens case I guess the best example of filler is the rock hard country episode where not much really happens in it to better either seven or dai-bo and it doesn't give us any important info Now if the characters in it don't ever come back again then yes it is by all means filler cause you can get rid of the episode entirely and not have any problems arise from that

YES YES YES!!! The Prince of Stan is my favorite character besides seven,and his development is the reason why. When we first see him he comes across almost like a terminator. A calculated, unfeeling machine, devoted to completing his mission, and getting results at any cost. The personification, of Stan’s ideology. We rarely saw him even emote short of small flashes of panic and annoyance when identifying a shadow killer and facing stronger resistance than anticipated respectively. Only when he started to really lose to seven did his composure start to crack. Then we see how he develops. He meets cola, and grows to care about her. He feels desire to alleviate her pain, to avenge her injury. He starts to feel empathy to the actions Stan has done to the people of “inferior countries “ He begins to develop his humanity.

this is a great analysis! I think the theme of parent-child relationships is rly important to Noragami & the god-shinki dynamic is a major way the authors explore that. this whole paragraph is assuming you've read the manga from the 3 blessed vessels comment at the end... the only thing I'd slightly disagree with is the description of strays around 3:06 - Kugaha & Hiiro are prob the most memorable examples, but we see a greater number of strays that are just regular old shinki than we do strays that are chaotic & aggressive. (talking about Ebisu's Mi clan strays, who were so loyal they were willing to die rather than sell him out to Heaven, and refused to hit the children killing them out of fear they'd sting their master. I rly wish this scene wasn't omitted from the anime because it sets up more empathy for strays early on.) also, casting spells on strays is possible but it looks like you just need to know all their names first. I think the disdain for strays comes partly from the culture of ownership that's just built into the shinki system. that could be part of what "changes the spirit's nature," if they change at all. but anyway, I'm always happy to see more noragami content on yt :)) saw you made a CSM video too, do you plan on making more anime content?
@etjix
@etjix 10 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot! I have read the manga, so my comment will also have spoilers for anyone reading. The description for Strays from 3:00 onwards is supposed to be how they are generally viewed from the God's perspective. I also happen to disagree with how they were initially presented (although I think that's intentional). Ebisu's strays are definitely some of the best Shinki's that we witness in the story. I think a huge part for that is how a lot of them aren't strays by choice (their original God died). It's why Ebisu is somebody Yato and the readers can look up to. I also think the scene being omitted was a mistake because it also established how messed up the gods truly are. Especially when you consider how the head Goddess could have easily removed a stray's name! Putting all of that aside, I could even argue that Hirro (Yato's stray) doesn't even fit the description of "stray" that the God's have given her. Mainly due to how she actually treasures all of her names and only wants to be useful to her masters (focused on Father and Yato ofc). We see that all of her chaotic nature is only a result from Father's manipulation, the same way that it was for Yato. Even if she was genuinely chaotic and aggressive, I think she would still be right in her assessment that Gods look down on Nora's since its nearly impossible to cast spells on them without knowing all of their names. To put it a step further, the Gods only using Nora to "perform jobs you wouldn't give to your own Regalias" (-Tenjin) is why they are characterized as chaotic and aggressive. I would agree with the culture of ownership interpretation due to the recent events in the manga. Kazuma becoming a Nora thanks to Yato and Yukine becoming a Nora thanks to Father seems to indicate how it's not THAT big of a deal. Obviously there's still some importance since their supposed to be building a deep connection, but Yato doesn't seem to look at the concept with disdain. He only ever cares about making sure his vessels are okay (and not faking it). Since he's the main character and goes unchallenged in the series, I'll take it to mean that the Mangaka believes the relationships shouldn't be so possessive. I'm glad you enjoyed it ^_^ Yes, I'm going to be making more anime content and some comic book content too. From my reply, you can probably tell that I'm a nerd lol.

@@etjix oh, that makes more sense if you were just explaining the perceptions of the characters. I took Tenjin's line about "jobs you wouldn't force on own shinki" less as a comment on the nature of strays & more of a comment on the gods. to me, it comes off as related to Tenjin's comments to Yukine about how having two names is like having no face - gods don't acknowledge strays as an individual worthy of an identity, a place of belonging, and so on. by dehumanizing strays in that way (we've also seen them called "abominable creatures," or "animals") they wouldn't feel as bad forcing a stray to cope with whatever shady/difficult job they plan to use them for, compared to how they might feel using their own shinki who they likely have more attachment to. more practically speaking, it would also be a lot easier for gods to release a stray's name if they started to receive blight as a result of negative emotions from that job, as opposed to a shinki they've already spent time training & such. but I'm glad you clarified your point of view because I never thought of it that way before! interesting to hear. full agree on Hiiro, btw. her situation is far more complex than the common attitudes surrounding strays in-series. also agreed that Yato seems to have much more lax view of strays, perhaps because he can relate to their situation to degree. even harder agree on the author's message that the relationships shouldn't be so possessive, and I think it shows through other characters too. Arahabaki comes to mind - the vast majority of his children aren't named. there's no ownership or obligation between them, and they seem to be the most happily functioning family unit we've seen in the series. while his two named spirits (Nana & Shiiho) aren't unhappy, they've still experienced negative outcomes as a result of it (getting sealed in the Box required Nana's vessel name, and Heaven has a general disdain for Shiiho's vessel form). craziest part is that the ownership argument goes both ways too. Kiun & Kazuma's conversation about what it means to appropriate a god, as well as Kugaha's attempts to appropriate Bishamonten, also feed into this same narrative against treating individuals (especially children) as property/tools. but yeah, I can also get pretty wordy when it comes to noragami meta, so no judgement there 😂happy to hear there'll be more anime content coming, just subbed ^^
@etjix
@etjix 10 ай бұрын
@@iizou1738 Tenjin's comment could be interpreted a couple of different ways due to how vague and early it was made. You're comment about gods not acknowledging strays as an individual worthy of an identity made me Remember Yato's comment towards Bishamon's stray. He told him "You're less than human" (admittedly not because he was a stray). It seems like that's the Gods go to viewpoint whenever they don't like someone. There's definitely an air of practicality surrounding it. Like I mentioned in the video, most gods would release their shinki if they ever stung them once even though they could technically work it out together and become closer. It's kind of messed up how God's put the vessels in extreme situations and just expect them to not feel any negative situations. I also appreciate your thoughtful responses since it gives me a new perspective as well. Yeah, Hiiro is the most important stray story wise. I doubt there would be a lot of strays who has so many gods or who know God's secret. Yep, Yato definitely blames "Father" for abusing himself and Hiiro. So he knows that strays can be a simple product of their environment (like Ebisu's noras). OMG! I completely overlooked Arahabaki for some reason haha. Arahabaki's situation definitely shows how its better for Shinki's and Gods to seperate themselves from the council of Gods. I feel like Shiiho would have been praised for his abilities if he wasn't directly connected to Arahabaki. I think all of Arahabaki's family will play a big move in the story when the opportunity presents itself. After all, it seems to be implied that he does have his memories back for the most part. And the fact that the only reason he didn't save nana was due to risk management leads me to believe he's just waiting for an opportunity. Ebisu would also probably be able to support Arahabaki if it ever came down to it. Exactly, that's why I said in the video that both parties are "playing house". Although I still put more blame on the Gods for creating the situation that makes it more likely for their Shinkis to have a toxic relationship. I believe Kiun will become a blessed vessel and that it'll only happen when he and Takemikazuchi fix their problems. It's good that we can be on the same page😸Thanks a lot for the sub! I really appreciate it. You actually gave me an idea for another Noragami video lol. I'm just going to have take some time to double check some information now.

Baki for me was much different in terms of how I enjoyed it. I've watched the show twice and read the entire manga, and I think the weight of each fight varies depending on how much you enjoy each character. Its not like dragon ball or something where there is a "hierarchy" of side characters, with krillin, piccolo, and vegeta being higher up and tien, yamcha, and hercule being at the bottom. The show doesn't pull any punches when it comes down to it, and you can really feel the power and strength of each character, especially in the manga. I think the reason baki didn't "ruin" fights for me is that I was able to understand that these characters exist outside of the laws of our world and many other "realistic" fighting/sports shows. Kengan ashura for example, despite having borderline superpowers within the kura family and the advance technique, feels more "real" than baki. The show as you said is meant to be taken as dumb fun, but also has layers beneath it which can be enjoyed on a more technical level. New pickle season coming out is definitely going to add some more "weight" to the fights though. Trust me lol.
@etjix
@etjix Жыл бұрын
I don't know if it's weird, but I enjoy each character about the same amount. They all have different quirks to their personalities and fighting styles that allows me to appreciate each one. For example, even if both Hanayama and Jack are more "brawlers", Hanayama relies on brute strength while Jack relies on savagery. The only hierarchy in Baki is that you have to be Japanese to stay relevant lol. I don't mind that though. I love how we can now place yamcha and tien in the same category as the completely "useless" hercule. The last time tien did something useful was against cell after all. I see why Baki's absurdity did not ruin fights for you, I wish it was the same for me. Kengan Ashura is probably the closest series to Baki in terms of raw fighting. But it is still less exciting for me since there is a monetary reason for the Annihilation Tournament. Although I guess that does make the series more realistic in a different way lol. Oh yeah, the pickle arc is definitely going to up the ante considering Jack and Retsu's new "additions". I just didn't want to include "spoilers" for the people who only watched the anime so far.

Zeno's paradox is not necessarily a falsidical paradox. It is a problem that Zeno made this amazing conclusion based on what he new about reality. The truth is, however, reality and time is not analog. Reality and time moves at the quantum level in little quantum jumps at the planck scale. These jumps, like frames in a movie, are so small and fast it appears that reality is smooth and analog..However, you can see that if there is a limited amount of quantum jumps between point A and point B, then it is easy to see how the arrow actually arrives at its destination. Many paradoxes are probably of this nature, where we just do not know enough about the paradox and it just seems impossible.

You're right. One of the great things about paradoxes are the different perspectives you can have in them. I consider Zeno's paradox a falsidical one since they generally have logic based on a falsehood. In this case, it's reality not being analog, as you excellently explained. I agree that we only need to advance our knowledge to solve any "impossible" paradox.

If it's not a bother, do you recommend any book or paper about physics?
