@Sabah Zarid Which Alim? who said playing (and not watching) sports is haraam. Why make the deen hard upon, keeping healthy and fit is a rewardable act.

@Sabah Zarid I never said watching sports is Haram, i was only mentioning because you may be watching men/women whose aowrah isn't covered, so theyre are conditions involved. For example it would be haram for a man to watch women athletics when majority of their flesh is on display. Playing sports if done with correct intention is not haraam, because you are keeping your body health and that is an amaanah. Hope that clarifies the issue.

@Sabah Zarid sport is the recommended Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SM. Arab Muslims used to practice racing with camels, horses and hunting with Falcon and Saluki dogs.

The damage that happens by watching music and movies to the family explains it all.

@@medicoAIIMS114 swimming can be free if you live near a community pool or beach. Alhamdulilah some community pools in the West have women's only hours now because many of us pushed for it. They cover all the windows and have women only staff

Think you, I’m also a medical student and anime , Manhwa ,Manhua, manga, films, music, novel and fiction book have destroyed my life I repeat twice because of my addiction to them, but I will change and ask the forgiveness of good . Another aspect I forgot to mention about this journey/change of life, is that you will feel very lonely in this physical world, strange almost, like there aren’t many people who can understand you. I live in America, where music, drinking, partying etc is normalized. Which means that many of my former friendships fell out, (in some cases friends will no longer want to hang out with you and consider you “boring”, and in other cases you will have friends who will respect your decision but can no longer relate to you, and thus, stop contacting you). You may even feel lonely within your own family, but this is just the test that we have to face. I live in an area where we have almost a non-existent Muslim community, and so my efforts for finding more muslimah friends (who I can relate to, and who can relate to me) has been very hard. But reminding myself that Allah SWT is closer to us than our Jugular vein is what keeps me going and In sha Allah it will for you too!

Its so easy. Just say shahada. Pray 5 times a day. Wear hijab. Other than that just stop doing something if u find that its haram. Example of haram things: Drinking alcohol Adultery Musical instruments (but for a newcomer u can do that gradually) Other than that when ramadan comes fast and do hajj once in ur life.

Assalamu alaikum brother/sister, I would like to warn you against listening to the people of innovation lest you or someone who does not have sufficient knowledge start developing doubts. The Salaf were very careful regarding this matter lest something they say of falsehood settles in their heart, so what about the laymen? I would strongly advise you to not consider this as a form or entertainment and it could very well be a trick and plot of shaytaan. So i would strongly advise you and others to not go to such videos and instead have actual Halal fun and gain authentic Islamic knowledge from the authentic sources and follow the manhaj of the salaf. Jazakum Allahu Khairan

@@aymanmateen yeah you may say so. But for me it has helped a lot and I think they are not as deviant as the salaf potrays. Salafis/wahabis are coreect in many matters but not all. They claim to to follow Prophet (pbuh) and not hanafi shafai or maliki yet they quote Ibn Tehmiya, bin baz, Naser albani, etc in their talks. When other do this they say oh we only follow Prophet(pbuh) . This way I came to realise although most of what the Salafi's say is true but not all. There are other arguments on certain issues especially by the hanafi fiqh which have a stronger argument

Your situation is very valid, and the fact that you care about searching for this proves what's in your heart, that you do care. SubhanAllah. When I started learning about Islam, I thought it was impossible for me to give up music. Music had been my companion for all days, good and bad. I never thought I could give it up and I was so worried. I asked Allah for help, told Him that he knows my situation. Allah knows your situation too. The only way here is to make dua. Admit to him that you're not strong enough to do this. Ask him to do it for you because you care. You just have to make dua, don't worry how you will do it. You will not, you are weak, you love music and TV shows make you happy. You just have to admit it to god and he will do wonders for you. He did for me and the music which used to sooth me earlier doesn't sooth me anymore, the beats now give me anxiety and I find comfort in listening to qirat, alhamdullilah. It takes time and steps. I started listening to acapella first. I still listen to acapella of good songs and I think as long as it doesn't make me unmindful of Allah, it's okay. Islam isn't difficult, it is supposed to be easy. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshiping in the mornings, the afternoons, and during the last hours of the nights." (Sahih Bukhari 39) Start practicing your religion with what is easy for you. Start knowing Allah and the Prophet pbuh, learn about them. It is a process. You do not become a perfect Muslim overnight. Nobody is ever perfect infact. You just have to be sincere. That's all that matters, and everything else will start falling into place. All the best wishes to you. May Allah be with you and everyone who cares to know Him and follow his religion. Ameen Ps. I'm not perfect. I'm just starting to learn. And I do find myself falling back to haram, but the difference is it doesn't give me peace anymore. I understand that this is a process and I'm learning. So I try to be kind to myself and forgive myself by reminding me that Allah loves to forgive me too. I believe one day, Insha'Allah I will stop falling back completely and be more stable on this path Allah has chosen for me. So, the advice is, don't be too hard on yourself. As long as you're mindful of Allah, you're in the right place. May Allah help you with your journey. Ameen.
