Em’s songs on the Southpaw album are so underrated. Especially his Bad Meets Evil songs.

“Lays flat where you put your dinner plates at”. “Flat where” is a double for “flatware” (eating utensils) which ties into the kitchen scheme with plates, placemats, etc. Slick line that’s easy to miss.

This is an A1 track with a A1 reaction and breakdown. The level of writing is past genius. Its pretty unfathomable how slick he was able to deliver this message with such raw emotion while still hitting the listener with such intricate rhyming.

This song was released in the same album as Kings never die. I'm pretty sure Gwen Stefani is also singing in this one.

If only everyone could appreciate the rhyming scheme syllables that Em does, a lot of people don't simply; because they don't listen to it thoroughly and understand how much goes into it.
