Good solution. Another tip. Use a small file to file down the bump inside the brass stock if the bump you made is too deep and will not allow the insertion of the brass square inside. A totally adjustable technique. Good Luck.

Great video again Edu. I wouldn't recommend cutting the K&S tubes with a file and then snapping them off with pliers like that, in doing so, you might pinch too hard and deform the K&S. I would use a hacksaw as an alternative to the Dremel disk. Also, as another (more complex) option for keeping tubing inside each other, you can solder on a small nut to the larger section, tap through the nut and the tube, and then add a corresponding grub screw. This way you can use a little Allen key to loosen and tighten the tubes. Nice to see more videos from you, keep up the amazing resource!
@edupuertasfruns
@edupuertasfruns 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Joseph, I actually cut them on the lathe with a saw and a jig made for this purpose. I show this method for people that does not have dremel, that, you wouldn't imagine but it's main part of my audience. Congrats on the selections and prizes to your work lately

Hi! Nice advice, I will built my next character with this technique. But I would like to know how can you turn the wrists if you put a square tube? And if you use a rond one, what do you think about putting a small piece of insulation tape between both tube to prevent the inner tube from slipping? Thank you
@HangGlider321
@HangGlider321 2 жыл бұрын
In your store it says 4.76mm is used inside the rigging. Is that the size of the brass piece of the rigging or the brass piece of the puppet that slides into the brass piece of the rigging? Just want to make sure I order the right ones. Thank you
@DavidCurryFilms
@DavidCurryFilms 4 жыл бұрын
It's a great idea but I'm finding it difficult to hit just hard enough and not too hard. The smaller tubes are very tricky and once a dent is pushed too far its too tight and I have to use another length of tube.

true that it is hard to apply the right force. You can also apply a piece of teflon tape instead of doing it
