I got a 2070 super for about 180 euro like a month ago because my old gtx 1070 was starting to struggle a little. I have to say the 20 series gpus can be a really good deal if you find them for a good price.

Yeah the 2070 super is basically a 3060 12gb in performance deffinitly not a bad card in some games they pair well with a Ryzen 5 5600x

@@GameslordXY it is alittle stronger but paired with a good cpu like the 5600x. the 3060 12gb has better raytracing and a better dlss witch in dlss games it will perform alittle bit better but not by much thats why i say there the same i had a 3060 paired with a 10400f and the 2070 super paired with a 5600x and the 2070 super beat the 3060 in games then i put the 3060 with the 5600x and it beat the 2070 super by just a few frames like 5 frames you couldn't even tell they was a difference but where the 3060 has 12gb of vram instead of 8 in some of the newer games there was a little bit more of a lead but not by much. there very close in performance. when you pair a good cpu to them the 10400f is decent but it leaves performance on the table for both the cards. in game that are more cpu demanding, call of duty performs better on Ryzen cpu's or newer intel like 12 series. and up the 2070 super got 120 fps on dlss balanced with high settings 1440p paired with the 5600x, the 3060 12 gb could only get 100 fps with the same settings with a 10400f.

Current rig has a 3090 and I don’t think I’ll upgrade anytime soon. I have done a couple flips with 2080’s I was able to get around that $200-220 price point. Lot of good cards around that price point as well. 2080, 6700XT, 3060, etc.

Cool video. Last Nvidia GPU I used regularly was a FE version of the 1080ti from MSI. When it died I went back to my Rx 570 8GB and from there upgraded to an RX 5600XT. My current GPU proves that VRAM is not the only factor because my RX5600XT runs circles around the 570.

Finally the 2080S is getting some respect. I have one of the Dell blower OEMs I picked up uesd for my budget setup. It is great for standard size pc cases with low air flow, but its a little power hungry. I recently cleaned and re-pasted as they are getting to that age. Good video now all the deals are going to get snatched up, guess its time to look for a 6700xt

So I was rocking a 6600 until 3 months ago when my buddy got a 4090 and said that as long as i pay the shipping(which was $54) I could have his 2080TI. Now I know the ti is better but from what I can tell every 2080 is still solid especially for the used prices these days.

Nice. Never owned a 2080 Super. 7900XTX 24gb vram, though I still use my 3060 12gb for casual games, picked up a 7800XT 16gb vram on sale also for the game bundle. Am not running out of vram at 1440P though I don't typically play a lot of hungry titles.

I put an ordinary 2080 in a build for my nephew and it’s a surprisingly capable card. I have a 3080 in the rig in my bedroom and it’s a beast for the $350 I spent on it. Mining did have one positive effect, it dumped a pile of affordable cards on the used market.

get the blower cooler cards! they're usually much cheaper than 2 fan cards and maintain working temps, albeit slightly louder. but if you don't care about noice, it's literally just savings since they rarely throttle with a half decent case design

I fell like the rtx 20 line up are really underated at this time. They can be really cheap and still be sufficient for most modern games.

unfortunately, at least where i live, most 2000 series cards are just overshadowed by radeons. the 2060/super/2070 are often more expensive than an used rx 6600 and closer to a 6600 xt. 2070 super/2080/super a bit better, but an used 3060 ti can be found around that corner and didn't even mention the 6700 xt

To answer your initial question. I have 11GB of vram. I bought a 2080 Ti used in Dec of 2020. They can be bought for $325 used now. Up until a month ago I had the "best" Cpu and Gpu combo if I built it in 2018 which I definitely didn't build it in 2018. That being the 9900k and 2080 Ti. I upgraded my motherboard, cpu and ram last month to upgrade to the 13600k and ddr5 since that's what the board uses. I only play at 1080p (settings usually maxed for 1080p) so the 2080 Ti has been amazing both with the 9900k and the 13600k.

I recently did a flip using a 3700x and 2080 super. Scored the 3700x for $90 and the 2080S for $180 on my local FB marketplace. Bought a cheap new msi b450 mobo, apevia 600w psu, 16gb vulcan z 3600mhz ram, and SP A60 Ttb ssd. Altogether into the machine for about $450 and sold it for $600. Had this not been a flip, $450 is an absolute killer value for an 8c16t/2080s machine.

@@bricks7984 $100-$150 profit it what I shoot for on every flip. If i get better deals, I pass those savings on to the buyers. My philosophy is I'd rather push volume rather than sitting on something for a couple weeks to make an extra $50-$100. Selling the systems quickly prevents me from having a bunch of money tied up and allows my to roll it into the next build. But for sure it could have went for $650-$700

Please Zach I've been watching your KZfaq very closely hoping we would get your opinion about this soon, Im really torn between getting the 7900 XTX vs the 4090. The XTX cost me 890 right now to buy and the 4090 cost about 1890. If I can go with the XTX and still have my PC Build be considered Future proof it might lead me more towards team red and it would be 1000 cheaper. Which should I pair with my 7800x3d, 32GB CL30 (6000Mhz) and 1000w PSU. Thanks to anyone who replies

using a rtx 2060 super for latest AAA Games. it actually feels plenty for 1080p 60 fps casual gaming. But Do Recommend everyone to go for Used rtx 3060 ti/3070 instead of Used 20 series becuz those cards are aging fast.

@@ZachsTechTurf Why not? It beats the consoles. It's excellent for upgraders as for those making new builds,you don't really need significant coin to build a rig for it. Especially if you don't focus on looks. It really depends on availability in whichever region someone is from.

DLSS2 is what saved this card for 1440p. It’s performance is between RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti

I recently bought a used gaming PC built by someone from Ebay and was built well overall and the specs while not the best it was at good price had the newest Intel I3 clocked at 3.5ghz with only 8GBs of ram planning on upgrading that shortly but it came with a 650W power supply Apevia gaming case and a gigabyte motherboard and a nvidia 1660 super 6GB which performs better then I ever expected I don't know why so many people have issues running starfield but with midrange settings and 1080P resolution I was getting around 60 to 70 FPS

I’m not sure if starfield has had some major performance increases since launch (I’m assuming) but I get a solid 50-60 fps on my 2080 super, 4k, and high settings

The performance of the 2080 Super is around the same as the 3060Ti, which is also going for around 230USD on the used market. Considering that the 3060Ti uses a newer architecture (which benefits it on certain workloads) and the TDP is 50W lower, I'd have an easier time recommending the 3060Ti... With that being said I do own a 3060Ti so I'm possibly biased

I would consider the 6700 XT as better option for this price point. same average price in my research 200$~250$ 4GB's extra VRAM and some games the 6700XT edges the 2080 S

Definitely. Also it slightly more recent and might be supported a bit longer. On the other hand, you loose access to DLSS so I guess that both are good deals.

DLSS is better than FSR which 2080 Super can also use. Raytracing is quite nice as well and in that 2080 Super destroys 6700XT.

Bought it in 2019 and always worked perfektly. Unfortnunately games get harder and harder to run. But i still get min 120 - 180 Fps with medium settings in almost all games with 1920x1080 although i have a slight bottleneck with the ryzen 7 3800x cpu. Overwatch, Valorent and Cs2 run extremely well with over 200fps on max settings.

I actually thought those star field FPS numbers were pretty reasonable considering how some cards run on it. Also imo if someone was building a pc solely for star field I would recommend going with a AMD GPU, as AMD just perform better in this title. (I'm not saying AMD are better than Nvidia outside of starfeild). Zach I remember when that event was on and the first thing I thought was "oh some new ytubers for me to check out" yourself included.

I've a MSI gaming x trio 2080super that i bought off around 240$/- last year on Facebook marketplace.....have it paired with the i5-10400f.......It slightly bottlenecks at 1080p but is perfect for 1440p

i just bought an rx 6650xt from amazon. It's a bit better than a 3060, and still has 8 gigabytes of vram. It's the same price as a 2080 super though, about $230, but that was new, and the cheapest was 220

Nice, Noticeable upgrade. I remember raiding on the 1060. I'm sure you visually notice the difference. I remember going 1060 to 3060 12gb to 7900XTX. 4070 has the ecoefficiency, in that it shouldn't get too hot gaming with it.

I personally wouldn’t get this card over $180 after tax/ship. The faster 3060 ti can easily be had on eBay for roughly the same price, and if one is willing to buy local or patiently look for good deals, can be had for $170-200

Still happy with my 1080 Ti, but the 2080 Super isn't a bad card. 1080 Ti also has more VRAM.

I have a ryzen 7 3700X and I’m still running a 1070ti 8gb. What should I upgrade to? I have a 2K monitor and I’m not afraid to spend some cash to future proof myself. Don’t want to have to upgrade my gpu for a while. The next thing I want to upgrade is my cpu so I want the new gpu to be good with both my current and future cpu.

You can keep your cpu for this one as the 4060 ti 8gb is especially good for 1440p gaming with your ryzen 7 3700x. But if you want to upgrade then get a ryzen 5 5600 for not as much bottlenecking. Then you could get a 4070 12gb.

for 1440p is a tough sell, now we want 90fps+, anything below that feels... weird, its like 60fps is the new 30, and the new 60 is 90-120fps, i have a 6950XT and barely gets 100fps avg in 1440p

My 2060 super is pushing around 110fps on mw3 campaign on basic settings. Pretty impressive for a 5 year old card. Just ordered a 7800 xt, well see how it goes

How can it absolutely smoke an RX 6600xt, while only out performing the RTX 3060 by a little bit? Those two GPUs are closely matched at 1080p and 1440p
