Great job! The little white wire going to the Killer chip popped off when I moved it out of the way. I can't get it to stay on now. Do you think I should solder it on, or just use electrical tape?

What is the name of the thing you applied at 4:10 its like a sticker thing?

Its a termal sticker that prevents the air flow form the fans go to different direction, most the time the replacement part comes with it but in this case only have one and i try to reuse the old one.

25mm or 50mm its enough for th gap between the fan and the heat pipes but always can aks on the stores

Will the same fan model work for the cpu or do i have to get .002. Also im asking since theres that buzzing voice that comes from the right fan(opp the charging port) that has got worse since last month. Would you reccomend changing the fan and is the process same or do i have to remove the heat sink and reapply the T.paste etc to get to it. Thanks in advance mate.

i recomend to change the piece if you are able to open the fan to check if one of the plastic blades is broken ( in that case replace the fan ), if not juts clean all the vent areas so you make sure its nothing making contact with the fan . related with the parts numbers im not sure if you can use the Gpu fan on the Cpu sorry.

u don't have to buy any part, i had the same issue. i just added some oil to the fan, watch tutorials on youtube and that's it.

Just ordered my GPU fan through acer after it stopped spinning completely and died , will install it when it arrives. Are those special gloves or regular latex gloves? I only worry when I put in the fan connector as it's quite close to the electronics.

Regular latex gloves but if you are carefully you dont need the gloves , i use because the same day i clean other parts of the laptop

Yes , they told you have to bring the pc to a service center or send them, but for that moment i dont have the time for that and most the service centers was closed for covid

Hmm so you can easily pivot the fan like that to remove dust if im not planning to do repasting. This one should have similar build with the 2020 version right?

Yes , most of the laptop fan have similar fan designs. The 2020 its probably the same as 2019 models

The one shown in video is 2020 right? I have the same one I think. I have cleaned the fans but can't figure out how to remove the sink..to reapply thermal paste. Some screws are not unscrewing

The New that install on the laptop , yes is aero blade (metal ones)

The gpu is metal blades and the cpu is plastic blades thats why you have to be careful at the time you ordering the piece

Hey man my cpu fan seems to be failing. I have the ACER PREDATOR HELIOS 300 17.3 inch GTX 1060. I am maybe the least tech savvy person on earth, could you link a fan from amazon, or anywhere that I could replace the current one with? Would be much appreciated!

i dont know if places like repair shops for electronic to do this jobs but it not hard to do by you self is just a few screws. i dont have any Amazon link for that piece , they have some on ebays but the price or its expensive or too cheap for be real. i use this capitaldatausa.com if you are in USA for Internacional i dont know.

Replace the plastic cpu fan with the aeroblade 3d fan. It'll be quieter.

Too loud ? On laptops its normal , especially the aero blades because its made from metal but that means can cool more efficiently that the plastic ones

The worst laptop I gave ever owned.... Never ending problems, first the GPU fan dues, then the laptop starts damaging the hard drives.
