Ofcourse, we have many Gods..It clearly shows we pray them..We pray to knowledge , wealth, five elements, time, and so on..we pray to them by offering poojas..since we see God in each and every thing, we are worshipping them in the form of idols..we see them in idols and offer pooja..Idol worshipping is mainly to concentrate and to offer pooja..but there are so many people who can worship without idols..Be proud to be Hindhu..It's the first religion which came into existence ever since man was born.Its very democratic religion..No compulsion to pray, you may go to temple or avoid going to temple..you can't do that in other religion.
