@@achildmakingcontentif you remember the classic event consumable item aren't allowed, and i think that's good points since people saying these will be p2w upon item even tho item just helping you get the skins faster. Not break the whole game to be easy as tdx(you don't need to say about nuke in tdx. Ik what its really does)

I feel like they were added to “put variety into the game” however they completely fail at this because you usually never need them unless your doing something like freezer only fallen. Really useless addition.

@@rileylucas3726 it’s an exaggerated example, obviously nobody is gonna do freezer on fallen. My point is that consumables are mainly going to be used on challenge videos if nothing else.

uh pretty sure below replied on a tweet about adding consumables to hardcore and how they are thinking about adding them. The reason WHY consumables weren’t available on the classic event is because it would just be p2w for the actual experienced players and the new players who are just playing for the events would probably be confused and won’t have any consumables to use.

This vid is so true it's so useless and what's worse is they put it in weekly quest which is horrible 4 mil damage for some consumables that you can't use it for hardcore i rarely even use these consumables honestly

i have never used consumables, because i never found a reason to use them, plus our solo molten grind is easy anyway

They are really helpful in harder game modes like polluted wastelands 2 where even the best towers sometimes are not enough.

They are usefull in helping quest, like beat pw2 with accel 3 time or helping beat bl2. And i see alot of people using them in matchmaking, i myself use them alot.

Consumables in hardcore would be balanced. Vindicators only have 45k health (including defense). Meanwhile, nukes basically deal 50k damage to everything, so a single nuke would just wipe out all the enemies on wave 50 except for the Void Reaver itself, which would be really OP. But the thing is, who cares about whether something is too OP in hardcore or not? The devs haven’t touched that game mode in YEARS. Nukes in hardcore wouldn’t be unbalanced, because everything else in hardcore is already unbalanced. So I’m ALL IN FAVOR of NUKES being added in HARDCORE.

Even after hardcore is rebalanced, I don't think they will allow consumables because if they did then hardcore wouldn't be HARDcore now would it?

a restriction in the consumables in hardcore would be better. like you can only bring one consumable type per player, meaning the rest of the team will have to bring other consumables to compensate (unless you guys are just gonna spam the void reaver with nukes). now that would make the mode more fun

@@gomshom67iscool23 Nukes are best for crowd control (even if they don’t 1-shot nuclear guardians), because while it isn’t hard to to deal 50k damage, the fact that this damage is dealt to every enemy is what makes nukes OP. If you were all limited to one consumable per player in hardcore, only one person would equip a nuke, because that one nuke will essentially kill everything other than the void reaver. From there, somebody should bring a damage flag, and somebody should also bring a firerate flag.

The problem is the devs still care about hardcore being a hard mode. So I don’t think consumables will be coming to hardcore anytime soon.
