Crash test dummies are meant to mimic human bodies in crashes, and show where cars need to be made safer. They are also huge investments - an absolutely stripped down legacy model will start at $100,000 and the latest crash test dummies run closer to $1,000,000. While they have come a long way from primitive designs, the latest generation is meant to better resemble humans in their different forms. New dummies are also packed with sensors and other tech. But some institutions are not signing on yet.

I'm actually surprised by the fact that the whole company that makes most of the worlds auto crash test dummies is only 300 people.

The bigger take away from this video is that humanetics has a problem. There are a finite and relatively small number of crash facilities around the world. These facilities self certified the dummies and repair them in house. Humanetics is low volume because they have a low demand. However as humanithetics lobbies governments and regulatory agencies to mandate use of new dummies, They force their clients to purchase new dummies Resulting in Humanetics making more money. The engineering involved in cars isn't concerned with specifically which bone breaks,It's a science of energy management. By managing the energy from the impact and Minimizing the energy absorbed by the dummy you pass a test or fail a test.Passing or failing the government test is what's necessary to sell the vehicle,Passing a different test or the degree by which you pass the test is what gets you the insurance institute rating.New dummies are not necessary to benchmark for the insurance institute nor are they needed To measure the energy absorbed by the ATD. That is why automanufacturers And testing facilities are not keen on spending What would reasonably be 50 million dollars or more Just to say they have a newer tool. This is another case of an industry or an industry leader using their position to librato leverage the government Into changing regulations and laws To increase the company's profit. Those increased cost to the manufacturers and testing facilities are passed on to the consumer in higher pricing for automobiles. Additionally there will be a million spent by the federal government government to do studies and rewrite the regulations to adapt them to theSensor feedback of the new dummies.Without question you can get more dathe more data and data that is more representative it's more representative of human bodies from Newer technology. The question is really is it worth the cost to the taxpayer and consumer when it won't substantially change substantially change the safety of the vehicle? It makes more sense to slowly implement use of newer technology is technology with newly developed test or future developed tests. The insurance Institute is absolutely correct. There's no value to be had spending the money To upgrade or the additional money to maintain Because it doesn't change the methodology or benchmarking of crash testing.

I agree that we cannot trust humananetics on the subject of whether we need their new most expensive product. However I think it's clear that some of the crash dummies being used today do not accurately represent the human body and should be replaced with more accurate crash dummies.

❤️🌟 In recent years, disasters have occurred frequently and anomalies have appeared one after another,You must confess your sins and repent,I hope that those who have not yet trusted in Jesus and God can trust in Jesus and God as soon as possible,Confess your sins and repent as soon as possible.2000 years ago, light came to the world,Jesus Christ came to the world. The Word became flesh and appeared before people's eyes.He was crucified for the sins of people. He was resurrected on the third day, and then He ascended to heaven and sat at the right hand of God. If you sincerely trust Jesus Christ and accept Him as the Savior of your life, you will receive the Holy Spirit. Then, you must obey the Holy Spirit, rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit to act and behave, and be a person who pleases God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. -Galatians 5 : 22 - 23 Don’t delay, you should immediately trust Jesus Christ and God!
