China has ALWAYS been a joke of a market for American companies. They always dangle 1 BILLION PEOPLE in the market...but most of them are peasants living on basic income and will NEVER afford any car. The fact of the matter is that the Chinese addressable market is less than 400 million people, all the others in China can' purchase a car. In addition Chinese carmakers ALL HAVE MASSIVE SUBSIDIES and of course now that their market is saturated they are trying to dump crap in Europe, there is fields and FIELDS full of EV's that can't be sold in China. So, now that we know what is going on in China, how are American carmakers able to compete against Chinese subsidized carmakers that dump garbage on the market?

Im French, Im a cooker and im little embarrass by this video. When Mc donald arrives in France, and succeed it's because this franchise have answer perfectly to the population expectation. A dietetic burger, and a good work for student. A US franchise if they want to developpe they can't just copy the same in other country. In France, we love Mc donald for this reason. Personaly, i make a wall between a place they succeed because the population is very dense, and a place they succeed because the food is good and that it.

If you shop at any business that is incompetent and has lousy service with incorrect products and services, you will be flagged as a problem shopper when it never was your fault. The problem you face is that the business was always bad in the first place and it is your responsibility to always make sure any contact with those relationships are always short, fast, and with as little data transfer possible. Bad people and bad businesses will always be a problem, and you need to deal with them in a professional and safe way.

I've owned maybe 8 different vehicles up until now, the issue that American manufacturers need to realize is that they're badly made, overly priced, low quality and low tech with bad, boring interiors. Please look at what Chinese manufacturers are doing and how quickly they captured the market because the customer is at the heart of the strategy. they're amazing reliable cars now.

How stupid can a customer be... "the laptop I bought isn't for me" or size of a TV screen isn't as big/small as i ordered to be? Customers should be adults not brats. Such behavior should not be honored.

I worked at home Depot for 3 years and there were definitely some serial returners...I remember one time a guy tried to return a lawn mower from a year before from that point in time, I only overheard it and didn't see if he actually got refunded but I think pro members get extended return periods up to a year

The reason why they raise prices is they base their sales projections on the figures from the previous year. This is how they determine their budget for the present time, how much stock they order, how many employees they staff and what profit potential is percieved. The problem with that is they don't factor in that the price of labor increases as well as the price of materials. The worst thing is that these projections are designed for their desired profit goals. These things can all change drastically within a single fiscal period but they still run their business on what the numbers on paper tell them rather than managing the business intuitively.

Whoooa this is incredible ! I am glad to be european. On this side of the Atlantic we have laws that protects the return policy. On top of any commercial warranty, laws mandates that a product bought online can be returned within 15 days "no question asked". As long as both the product and packaging are in the same condition as they were when delivered (minus a couple pieces of tape), seller cannot refuse the return. The reason for the return may be something as dull as "the color didn't match my decoration", as long as it is within the 15 days it's "no question asked". Also, up to 2 years after the buying date, laws provides another warranty, mostly for defects and other abuses, to all products, both bought online and in store. Concrete examples I had with these laws : 1/ I bought a 65" TV a fews years back that was advised to me by the vendor and it didn't match my requirements at all. I was clear when explaining myself that the TV would be used as a PC monitor but the vendor propably didn't have a clue about the technology and was just pushing the models he was told to move in priority. After a few months of usage and very tired eyes, I finaly understood that the TV I bought was not pushing enough FPS for my usage (among other minor things). Thus I went back to the retailer saying I wanted to return the TV with the reason that their seller didn't properly counselled me and had me buy something that didn't meet my need. This is actually one of the "other abuses" clearly described by the 2-years legal warranty. It was a very big name store and they did everything they could to not reimburse me. We exchanged exchanged letters, emails and phonecalls for 6 months, my frustration was reaching its peak and just when I was about to get a lawyer to settle this matter and began to be much more firm and procedurial in my communication, I got my money back. 2/ Last year I bought a cheap chinese ecigarette in a european store. I wanted a small reusable model that fits in my pocket. Again I let a vendor advise me the model they think would best suit my usage. It's a 35€ thing from china. I like it actually, it's not the best but it works as intended and it fits my needs. Yet after a few months i had a battery issue, I went back to the store and they exchanged it immediatly for a new one. A few months later I had another issue : one of the pins that connects the battery to the "burner" was stuck by some leaked eliquid (leakage at this spot is normal and described in the manual). Again I went back to the store and this time they were more difficult. They told me to get myself in contact with the manufacturer for replacement or repair but that it will not be worth it as the shipping cost will be very high. They told me it is expected that those cheap models fail early and that I should buy a new one. Frustrated I called the Government Pulblic Service hotline to ask what is the law's position on the matter and they explained that I should not contact the manufacturer, that when I bought the product a contrat was made between the buyer (me) and the seller (the retailer) and that the seller sould be my only interlocutor and that it is their responsability to have their product conform. Confident with this information, I called the general manager at the main store to explain my story. Contrary to what its vendor said he told me to go back to the store to get a replacement. Vendor was not too happy. Again he told me that at this price range, durability issues are expeced and that they could not afford that many replacements, that they would go out of business if every client was like me. I laughed a little and told them it was their choice to select a crappy manufacturer and to sell a bad product, as a customer I by law am entitled to a working product for at least 2 years. I also said pricing is a nonsense as it is a very basic machine and that basic eletrical rasors for instance last for years and are half the price of my ecig with twice the tech. Their margin must be very high on those ecig and better builds would not make their margin 0 far from it, evenso I would gladly pay that extra myself and if he had a fine build small ecig to sell under 100€ I would buy it gladly (big leap for me from 35€ but it is ok). Unfortunatly he doesn't. It's a somewhat big store compared to the competition and they have 3-5 brands of small models but they are all chinese, all in the same price range, and all the same quality.. Guess I'll be back in a few months for a 3rd replacement.

The problem is that for a very long time, the western world leading by the Americans, has been quick to look after the interests of the elite, the powerful, the lobby and the rich, all at the expense of the middle class, the worker and the minority. Political short term calculation, policial divide across and horse trading amongst the two dominant US political parties, lack of terms limit for the US politicians, the lobby nature of US poltics. This is where the US is trapped between a rock and a hard place. The US needs to reform fast to face the challanges of new world order - the multipolar world. But no comprehensive economic reform can be accomplished without a comprehensive political reform and political reform means opening a pandora box which can tears the US society apart. In a mulit-polar world, for each China the US put down, there will be a next waiting in line - India, Russia, Middle-East, African. All surging to reform their society to stand out - all except the US and Europe.
