This is a refreshing video. I've been struggling with how to make my Sunday School class more appealing. Most college-age people in our area seem to not care about small group Bible studies. I think some of them wouldn't even come if I paid them to. But then I thought, what if all the effort on making it appealing was just done away with, so I could focus more on the lesson itself....after all, people who come are people who want to study and pray together. I can't compete with the world when it comes to vain entertainment, so I might as well work hard in an area they can't best me at: preaching the truth and having communion with God in prayer with other believers.

God gifted him with the ability to deliver His Word powerfully. When I show someone a sermon by Paul Washer and they've never heard of Paul Washer, I love to see their reaction, especially people who I know are saved and they know their God's child, but they have this look like they've heard the Gospel for the first time ever. I always tell them, "You have now been Paul Washer'd, you are now in the know."

@@Lonesoul9791 Amen! That's awesome to hear. Glory to God! We need more Paul Washer, Adrian Rogers, Charles Lawson, Voddie Baucham type of pastors in pulpits all over America. It's sad that mainstream Christianity is what the lost believes is Christianity, and it's not. It's not motivational seminars and rock concerts and flashy lights, and send me your money and God will make you rich. It's none of that. The church is not a showboat, it's a battleship. Souls are at stake, and the counterfeit christians, the joy boys, are out here making a mockery of the Gospel, promising people nonsense that God didn't promise, constantly wanting money, constantly twisting scripture, they can't get enough to fill their bottomless holes. It's a sin sick world and the only sin today is calling sin, sin. It's a relief to hear the real ones preach, the ones you know are anointed and chosen by God to represent Him.

@@bobbydean5449 Yes, you are right. And the other thing PDW does is send folks always back to scripture. In the first year after I heard that first sermon by him, I watched every sermon by him that I could find. I found myself saying, sometimes even in prayer, “Brother Washer says…” but now I know where scriptures says things, and I know how to look for things in the Bible. I now say, “The Word says…” I listen to several if the preachers you mentioned, and I also listen to old sermons by Charles Spurgeon and am reading the puritan writers that he recommends like John Flavel, John Owen, John Bunyan, Jonathan Edwards, and Richard Sibbes. I struggle with some of the older writings, but it is a cultivated taste, I think. PDW also encourages folks to stop wasting time with distractions and frivolous things, and I pretty much have. I work 10-12 hour shifts 5 days a week, and on breaks I often scroll through FB or YT for quick scriptures and reflections on Christian things. Thanks so much for your comments today.

Ronnie, Why ignore the one message he’s giving from the Bible of loving and caring for the church of the King? You jump in the comment section to accuse a preacher who’s dedicated himself to the Lord and to the work of evangelism to call him fake and all “Calvinist’s” Fake. God has blessed many people through Brother Paul and yet you fee it is right to call him fake because you do not agree with one of his Theological standpoints? Absurd.

My answer to this fear is this: By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2016), 1 Jn 4:17-18.

CoreyTippets, There was special revelation given to men before to know about God, and to know His will. Urim and Thummmin, dreams and visions, appearances of the angel of the Lord, ministry of the prophets, signs and wonders. The Lord will always save those who are His. Now look at the sacrifices made, over many years so we can all have the Bible, so when you say they didn't need Scripture, it was all leading up to when we would all have it. Now we are commanded to show ourself approved 2nd Tim. 2:15. The Gospel is the means in the church age that God has chosen to reveal Himself unto saving faith. The more we have been given, the more will be required Luke 12:48, so yes, we do need Scripture, and no we won't be saved without knowing of Jesus death and resurrection, taking our sin on Himself, so read and study your Bible and be thankful for it.

WHO IS AND HOW IS REPRESENTED JEZEBEL? JEZEBEL represents the false prophets and can be in a church that has love, faith, service and perseverance where she has the authority to do whatever she desires. How acts a person who represents Jezebel? - Takes the servants of God to a wrong path - Misleads the servants of God into sexual immorality - Makes the servants of God commit idolatry “I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first. Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.” (Revelation‬ ‭2‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬) WHAT IS IDOLATRY? The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word IDOLATRY as follows: - the worship of a physical object as a god - immoderate attachment or devotion to something The Word of God defines idolatry in two ways: - Worshipping images “You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.” (Exodus‬ ‭20‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬) - Living to please our sinful desires “Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.” (Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

So, why are you called Baptist? Do, I have to be a member of the Baptist church to be saved? I know that Baptist believe it is not necessary to be baptized to be saved, yet I have to be baptized to become a Baptist, so does that mean it is not necessary to be a Baptist? Baptist believe you are saved by faith only but then I have to do something extra to become a Baptist, I have to be baptized, so why be a Baptist at all? when I can be saved and not be one.
@pvmoore1154
@pvmoore1154 7 күн бұрын
Your questions, in order: 1) So, why are you called Baptist? Because we insist that only believers should be baptized. 2) Do I have to be a member of the Baptist church to be saved? No. In fact,... Romans 10:9,... "if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED". 3) I know that Baptists believe it is not necessary to be baptized to be saved, yet I have to be baptized to become a Baptist, so does that mean it is not necessary to be a Baptist? It is NOT necessary to be a Baptist to be saved. In fact,... Romans 10:9,... "if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED". 4) Baptist believe you are saved by faith only but then I have to do something extra to become a Baptist, I have to be baptized, so why be a Baptist at all? when I can be saved and not be one? a) Correction: Baptists believe man is saved BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH (trust) in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬; it is the GIFT of God. b) The question: Why be a Baptist at all? The primary reason is the Great Commission of sharing the Gospel! Aside from that,... other compelling reasons to "be a Baptist" would be ministering to others, while always growing in knowledge and intimacy with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, through the inerrant Word of God. Baptists believe it is Jesus Christ as Lord, who 𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐄 sets people free. This, in contrast to certain ideas that only some are priests and have a privileged access to God, which can give them the right to command others, in matters of faith. Christ honoring word Very distracting mood manipulating music added. Thank you for the sermon n Music added is like dressing God's word with mood manipulating distracting "clothes". It makes the sermon harder to listen to. Thank you for the sermon.

Ironic, he speaks about doing to the "bride" what shouldn't be done to gain acceptance. And someone adds needles music that hinders the ability to hear and understand the message. Do they think music will make the message more acceptable to the world? PLEASE STOP IT!!!

I find this hard to listen to him use Hebrews 8:5 when he doesn't look at, and reflect on all the things that he promotes and profits off that has no foundation in Scripture: Conferences, Seminary schools, the current unbiblical way the church worship occurs. I can go on and on; perfect example of not removing the plank from his own eye.

Wow put your ignorance on display for all to see. Why don't you read Paul's bio and learn about his missions background before coming back to comment further . . .

Robert Brooks, if something isn't mentioned in Scripture, it doesn't make it wrong. To condemn someone because they go to conferences, puts you on shaky ground, you are doing what Paul expressly forbids. You are judging others on your conscience, and making it sin because you don't agree with it. In this matter, you are the one who is sinning.

@@jeffsloan6946 What does his missions background have to do with the issues I bring up. I am well aware Paul Washer's missionary work. However, that doesn't negate the need to repent for your own disobedience and hypocrisy. It is seems you are the one who is exercising ignorance, being blinded by a case of awestruck by any good works God may have produced through a vessel.

@@judithmargret5972 It is amazing how you misrepresented what I said for what is most likely your own guilty conscience. My comment doesn't explicitly condemn anyone for going to a Conference. Oppose to using conferences as the perfect example of Paul washer participating in the very thing he condemns. But yes, each person has to deal with the fact that you are participating in something foreign to Scripture; and in such things, many worldly and sinful practices are a part of such events: i.e. peddling the word of God. Most of these conferences have a fee, or have booths setup with people selling stuff, speakers, or "preachers", have a fee for just being there. So yes that is what your participation promotes.

@robertbrooks6533 Oh, but your very manner does condemn others for what you yourself don't do You desperately need to get off social media and examine your heart. You're judgemental, rude and condescending.

I disagree. I cannot listen to him, although his messages are often good. For me there is too much thunder and too little soothing rain. I prefer my minister that delivers the same message without all the drama. Different strokes for different folks. 🤗

But the Cost of the Grace of God costs a lot of of ourselves. If our works, after we are saved, do not meet the Cost of the Grace of God, what we only received is Cheap Grace. The Grace of God calls us to be a peculiar nation. Oh how this world needs men who will push us to live out the Grace of God more seriously lest we are just lukewarm believers that Jesus spues out. Grace is already given and is enough. Praise God. What comes next is the cost of accepting such Grace. Truly, Grace is a narrow path.

@@jepoyinthecam2400 Grace is a free gift. It costs nothing. When we accept Christ we are INSTANTLY justified. Before we do or show God anything. Saying if you are saved you do this or you won't do that is adding conditions on to God's free gift.
