I’m a DC native from 18th and Columbia Rd grew up in the 80’s around Park Rd and later on Kennedy St. never heard of this place. My place was Cavaliers downtown.

Y’all didn’t come outside then. Anyone who was anyone shopped in Georgetown. Sure, you could hit Snyder’s, 4 Dudes, and even Cavalier’s, but Prince and Princess, GT Players, Britches of Georgetown, etc, these places were a destination to buy clothes.

@@omd6dawgwe had our own spots tho... We had a spot where you could get the Sergio tacchini and the filas ... He Was a brother .. i forgot his name. We had boutiques. We had 2 up against the walls. Plus a foot locker and Fleet Feet. We eas outside and we was good. And if we wanted to, we WALKED TO GEORGETOWN Thru ROSE PARK. 20 minute walk.

@@mos1247im from Adams Morgan too... Grew up on 18th and harvard (Zoo Hill).... We had our own spots plus we could walk to Georgetown in 25 minutes. Rose park.

Man…I love this city! About time our own are telling our stories. Grew up in S.E but when mom got mad she’ll send me uptown with pops😂 that’s how I got a chance to experience different parts of the city. 5th&0, 5 and Decatur just a couple of hoods I pass through coming up! My entire family grew up here. Love my city💯

Georgetown was never the same once mall left, restaurants left like ESPN zone, Paparazzi etc .... I miss the Coogi store and Gtown had biggest and best jewelry market like 15-20 vendors and jewelry makers under one roof

I remember in the 80's only hustla's shopped at P&P. I was at the store maybe 19' or 20' and copped a fresh pair of Gucci 1984 and P&P merch.
