I like the 90's (or late 80's) Transformer movies version the most.

Hopefully Micheal Bay's vision of earth being Unicron was what caused the fan backlash the most about the film. That film might be the last film Micheal Bay does. From the sounds of things, those movies were meant to be non cannon to begin with. i'm glad there's a book version detailing a more senseful iteration of how Unicron was shut down. Be that as it may I am still fond of the Quintessons. The Transformers Living Tribunal. These mad scientists tecno-organic creatures bare apart of their history. Unlike the sloppy use of them in the movie.

Honestly the fact that we never had a single Primus vs Unicron fight in any Transformers show is complete bullshit. Honestly the Unicron trilogy wasted a massive opportunity for a Primus vs Unicron fight. It would’ve been so much more epic than those lacklustre Optimus Supreme vs Unicron fight in Energon and Primus vs Emperor Starscream fight in Cybertron, and in general just seemed like a big middle finger to fans who wanted a Primus vs Unicron fight.
