Our journey is just beginning on our baby boat, we’ve had a few setbacks but we’re finally sailing again. Excellent handle for handling of your drone, as well as the explanation of how to make it a safe landing.
@CadohaAdventures
@CadohaAdventures Жыл бұрын
That handle makes all the difference in the world for landing the drone, and it’s just a couple of bits of balsa wood and some Velcro straps with a little epoxy and fibre glass holding it all together.
@MiQBohlin
@MiQBohlin Жыл бұрын
Extra good with floating stuff that is not plastic👌🏽 Do you feel any different behaviour (of the drone) when airborne? More sensitive for wind? More hungry for battery? Acts like a pendulum when shooting? Would the buoyancy of the handle be enough for floating (at surface or not too deep to retrieve) your precious piece of moviemaker?
@CadohaAdventures
@CadohaAdventures Жыл бұрын
The handle we use certainly isn’t buoyant enough to float the drone, but I also don’t really notice any difference in drone characteristics when flying, which I don’t imagine would be the same with a much more buoyant version. This handle is so lightweight that I also don’t notice any really flight time difference either. I’m sure there is some effect, but it’s not easily noticeable.

Once again the David Bellamy of YT provides some wonderful images. What a day to take a small fishing boat out to sea (possibly to bring in lobster pots). I used to walk out on our farm at sunset in summer when rabbits fed along the hedgerow and wouldn’t fire a shot. Sometimes just watching is fine, so I get Dom’s decision not to take a fish.

When you were foraging the mussels decimating any one cluster wouldn't have been so bad. Decimation is 1 in 10. That aside, the colour-grading of your underwater looks better than I used to get with a GoPro. Are you using a Paralenz?? And if you ever get an extreme hunger for lobster again try diving for them at night, its so ridiculously easy that it actually feels like cheating. Obviously take a torch but try to only use the edges of the beam to illuminate the area you're looking at.

@@CadohaAdventures hey 👋🏻 I have a question on the money side if I may? Putting to one-side any KZfaq and patron, print on demand income, how hard do you find it to A find a winter mooring that let's you live aboard and assumably do your own work on your boat and B get work for the winter to save up next year's cruising budget? I'm trying to figure out how to transition to a life like yours. Savings would sustain me a long time but I wouldn't want to burn through them forever of course. Hey Dom, I’ve just recently got into spear fishing, just back from 4 months touring Europe and beyond in a Land Yacht and currently at home in Scotland. Very jealous of your visibility btw, it’s pants here at the moment. Anyway, quick question, which model of Teak-Sea gun did you get, and was it direct? Do you have an affiliate link or something? Anyway, keep up the great content, I’ve been following since you bought Cadoha not too far from here…. Cheers, Fraser
