How do Greydwarf farms work? | Valheim | Informative | Ashlands Update Compatible

Update note: Tested and rechecked info for the Ashlands update. Everything works. Couple of things I wanted to clarify: - The timers in the "Art of takedowns" section are averages, the video running is more to show the damage numbers & the drain speed of the hp bars. - Yes I am aware that the freeze end shot of the puffer fish demonstration is the oozer one 🤣(i noticed it way too late to change it lol) - Item drop averages are rounded up, in the last section.

@@splashopain thanks for the feedback! i was already looking at some parts and thinking maybe i could have done them a bit better 🤣 Pacing in some parts is slightly slower than others, but i guess thats more trial and error 😅

Very Informative video but sadly the sound is kinda bad! Anyway... Fire is (and was ever) the fastest way to kill the Dwarfs... BUT if you cover the "fire", dwarfs will not spawn on it and if you do NOT cover the file, rain will turn out the fire! So the best way is still to use "Pufferfish" if you want the farm to work also on a rainy day! Moreover it would be nice if you show a "working" Spawner Design!

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to listen through and drop a comment. - yeah i'm working on trying to improve the sound quality using what i have. Don't have the best equipment since I can't afford the stuff 😅 - you can use a 45' angle beam up-top and it stops the rain from putting out the fire, while still spawning in greydwarfs. It totally slipped my mind to add that bit in the video cause i was focusing on just the core details. - After the video i'm working on next, i'll be sure to make a video on how to build a working GD farm, i thought there were enough videos out there for those, but since a few people have asked me i'll make one. Thanks again for your time (:

Question: Is the cauldron of bats raid going to damage the spawner and how do you prevent that?

If the sides are open they can damage it but it's collateral meaning they go for the greydwarfs and not the nest itself. You can close the sides while leaving the spawner open to the sky which should be enough for the protection from bats. (In some designs I use the iron cage) Bats also aggro onto player & live stock (boars, chickens, wolves, loxes etc) before they aggro onto other mobs. So can use that to your advantage too. Hopefully that answers the question. 😊
