Learning how to position your swimming pool return jets is easy and fast. Aiming the return fittings will assist with proper pool water filtration and circulation.
The main thing to remember is to aim your shallow end return fittings upward, and toward the skimmer. This will assist the skimmer in gathering debris on top of the water. For your deep end return fittings, you'll want to aim them downward so the deeper parts of the pool will have proper water circulation.

You may need to use shock more frequently and algaecide. For me I have high phosphate due tree debris and bugs decaying in the pool. Low ph can cause it as well. I’m not a pool expert I just own one that I manage myself.

I use stop yellow (Pinch a Penny) with 2-3 chlorine jugs every couple of months in Florida. Clears up within 48 hours 👍

Hey Robert! Great video! But, how do you position for an above ground pool with one return? I am sure you know but it is located only a foot and a half away from the skimmer (which is also the only inlet) and is about at the same height. Thanks as always for the great content!

My return is to the right of my skimmer... I position the eyeball to the right (just enough where the water isn't shooting out the other side).. I have it to where the water is flowing a little bit above the waterline and 3 quarters beneath the waterline...I get a nice whirlpool going and it works great for me
