2 week old pool, that is some maintenance....can it get any dirtier????

My free chlorine is 3 and TC is 15 so I know CC is 12. How many gallons of chlorine do I need for my 20,000 gallon pool? My kids haven’t swam this summer yet.😢 Thanks!

Liquid Chlorine typically has a pH of 13 - - so it will also raise the pH in the pool after adding it to the pool. I know this from personal experience.

I've tried everything shock,clarifier, flocculant, pool chemistry is perfect I can't get it clear no matter what I do I have the filter running 24/7 vacuum twice a day 😢

That green algaa can cause infections if you have open cuts or any skin abrasions or an allergy to it. You needed to clean it with either bleach or a cleanser to remove any bacteria. I love swimming because its an excellent way to exercise and not hurt your aching joints. Also helps to tone your body up, but you'll have to do many repetitive exercises. Do not buy this brand. Mine went broken in the inline a big leak. In just 2 summers. Just in 4 months of total use!?!?! And then I called hayward and they were useless. And it's so damn expensive. NEVER WILL I BUY A HAYWARD PRODUCT!!!

That wasn’t the question though lol. It was that he added stabilizer that didn’t dissolve yet. You didn’t say how to get it to dissolve or how to get rid of it…you just said what to do in the future.

My system has the power light on but not the generator light. Tested the salt cell and they told me it’s still working. I cleaned it afterwards. Still not generating. I’ve already added 6 bags of salt. Idk what to do.

Would scale tech help out in this? I get a lot of scale build up in my salt cell and I can’t quite control it that well.

Our chlorine level is running 1ppm when we check it coming straight out of the filter. Our salt level is 3700. How do we get our chlorine level up if our cell is not calcified? We checked it and it have dery little calcification we soaked it in vinegar for an hour and it put it back in totally clean. Still only the 1ppm chlorine

I have a smaller above ground pool for my kids I believe it’s 3ftx10ft and it has just a small pump on the side I have been using the test strips to get readings in which I’ve kept chlorine tablets in a floater when they aren’t in the pool and I’ve shocked it twice in the pass couple weeks but now we have a white cloudy substance on the bottom of the pool the pool will be clear until that white stuff gets stirred up then it’s cloudy. I’ve tried using a oooo vacuum to suck it up but it just stirs it up back into the water also. What is this and what should I do?!?

ALL U NEED IS BLEACH PROBABLY AROUND 5 JUGS FOR THAT POOL STARTING OFF AND SUM BAKING SODA …AND GET U A CPL CHLORINE TABLETS TO KEEP IN IT

This is the 2nd summer we have had an absurd amount of white stuff. We try to vacuum it out but it’s so fine it just goes thro any filters the vacuum has. It just goes back into the pool with no change in the situation. We clean, skim, vacuum every day with no luck. Nothing we do helps and we don’t know what more to do. Please help.

I test strip it and my reading: total hardness = 120, total chlorine =1, free chlorine =0, Bromine =0, total Alkalinity =80, cyanuric acid = 0, PH = 7.6 Another guy on you told says if you have normal or low chlorine and Ph is 7.6 its microscopic add another 4 gals of shock. Sorry for the burden my kid friends want to get into the pool.

My sand filter does not work there is no pressure shown in the gage pressure ,and there no suction,I tried to switch to backwash but still there no suction nether a change in pressure what could be the problem?

Thanks for the tip on cleaning the impeller. My pressure was way low, but I just cleaned out a clump of grass that I couldn't see and now it is back to normal pressure 👍🤘

Does the same apply to grey water? I shocked my pool and it started to turn cloudy grean blue then went to grey.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to flip it the other way so the bag is facing up and then drag it back toward you? Seems it would eliminate the need to scoop up to catch it.

You can also use the big gigantic yellow bags of baking soda and sprinkle that along the whole inside of the outside perimeter of the water and it's got a picture of a pool right on the bag and that's supposed to help clear things up too
