my sister just sent this to me. thank you so much for this video - very needed for what I'm going through. Im only 26 and in my first serious relationship so I vented too much in great detail to my own mother about my marriage. I said some nasty shit - some of it simply untrue and hyperbolic - which I regret. I was hoping my parents would suggest marriage counseling but instead they said divorce so they found me an attorney to talk to and three days later I thought what the hell am I doing I love this man and he's not like the picture I'm painting of him to these people - this is a distorted projection of how I've been vilifying him in my own mind. I decided to go home and reconcile and my parents were so upset that they kicked us out of the home they bought us as a gift. It's been a tumultuous ride - my husband and I have had to repair our marriage while moving but we have never been happier. We decided to have a baby so now that's being thrown into the mix and I don't think my family will take it very well at first - but like you said it's going to have to take time since my family is nice to their core, they're just suspicious because of the mean things I've said about my husband. The more happy they see my husband and I, they're going to come around...
