Ear pain is often caused by ear infections, including middle ear infections (otitis media) and swimmer's ear (otitis externa). Children are more likely to have ear infections than adults, although they can occur in people of all ages. In adults, conditions like TMJ and arthritis of the jaw can also cause ear pain.

Go get checked if it sounds like water, and you can barely hear from that ear, it’s most likely and ear infection and you’ll get meds and wait out for at least a week

As someone who used to get infections so much that I had to get actual surgery to not lose my hearing, I have a few tips that will work pretty well. First, if you can try to sit up because it won’t stop the pain most likely but it will help relieve pressure, you can also take painkillers because it really does hurt a lot. And the most important is if it hurts for a long time, hurts a lot, or is very uncomfortable and preventing you from doing stuff, GO TO THE DOCTOR, if your doctor is closed rn go to urgent care, trust me if something wasn’t wrong your body wouldn’t make your ear hurt like that. Lastly there are many types of medicine I’ve had for ear infections including, drops in my ears, some pink medicine that tasted actually so good, and this nasty white medicine that was horrible. No matter what medicine it is TAKE IT ok like whenever you are supposed to because I don’t care if it tastes gross it’s gonna be worth it

I HATE urgent care. I have been to urgent care for severe ear pain, and was sloughed off as a presumed complainer. My ear pain did resolve, and I do understand that antibiotics don't always help, but they made no effort to explain what was happening to me, or why I was not receiving treatment, and they left me sitting with no communication for at least an hour. I HATE urgent care.

Trigger points in the neck muscles can cause ear pain. Physical therapists or some massage therapists can help treat the trigger points, however you can also massage those yourself.

I always use a hair dryer for ear pain and headaches. I remember it being in Doctor’s Book of Home Remedies commercial, during the eighties, when I was a child. Always works for me.

What about tinnitus type ringing when laying on that affected side? Been dealing with a lot of head pressure and pain on that side too that goes from eye socket to my base of skull. My doctor is already aware, but figured to bounce it your way in case you have insights. I got covid about 2 weeks back, but tested negative again for almost a week now. Thanks for your channel!

@@Gcarlo7272 I'm still working on it but after a spine xray, turns out I have mild degenerative disc disease in upper back, and I have bone spurs happening on my neck. So there is likely some pinching happening. I'm also considering buying special eardrops that have good reviews, technically is for swimmers but apparently has helped a ton of people's ear issues! Crossing fingers and I wish you the best in your healing too

@@xinpingdonohoe3978 I'm 14 so I'm responsible for not urging to go doctors. At 3:30 I went to my mum and got pain killers and now a week later I can confirm all my ear problems have gone away and my parents asked me how my ear was doing on a daily basis until the pain was fully gone.

Please go to the doctor you won’t waste their time, trust me if it’s hurting that bad it’s serious and it could possibly get worse. It might fix itself but trust me if you get antibiotics it’s gonna go away faster and you won’t literally be dying

15y ago I had ear pain. In a warm humid day my face swelled up on the painful ear side. I went to the doc. Looks ok he said. I went to a ENT. Looks ok he said. Later I stuck the handle end of metal tweezers and scrapped a large amount of accumulated ear wax that had solidified in the canal. My ear never bothered me again. I'll scrap it once a week.

Ear pain is also the only symptom of tongue cancer. Many doctors don't seem to know this. My wife died due to that lack of knowledge.

I have swimmer's ear. I can't hear (muffled hearing) and it's making me really depressed. It's almost been a week and it hurts like hell. I've tried warm compress and warm olive oil and nothing worked. My mother refuses to take me to an otolaryngologist though I've told her I CAN'T HEAR. Doc please help me i really want to know does i have jaw cancer Iam gonna tell you about this please help me to confirm late night thoughts are getting worse for me at 23 June 2023 in morning i took a nap on the floor without any cushion or mattresses and i slept in a congested manner by laying right side of my jaw towards the marble floor and then at the evening it was almost almost 5:30-6:00pm when my ear and jaw both started hurting whenever i try to open my mouth wide or when i try toh chew the gum from the opposite side of my jaw that pain is poking needle 🪡 its almost 8-9 days the pain is still going on is it due to my sleep posture or do i get diagnosed with jaw cancer tell me doc I’m not kidding by the way I’m 21 years old help me doc please tell me what is wrong with my jaw pain and yes some kind of squeaking noise I hear when im chew gum on the opposite side of my jaw and try to open my mouth Doctor please help
