Thank you! I think I'm going to listen to this every day - it's something I need to absorb in my every single cell and molecule! I'm 74, spent 67 years as a Roman Catholic trying - and failing - to be good enough to earn my salvation. The good and merciful Lord finally led me out of that dreadful moral squirrel cage to a genuine faith in the finished work of Jesus. Thank you, and thank You Jesus!

Greetings my beloved, I am moved by your testimony to ask my beloved how you are 10 months after writing publicly I pray your testimony give confidence to others to always trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ... That communion with God has been and will always be by faith....trusting in Him. Genesis 2:16-17 NKJV - And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; “but of the tree of the KNOWLEDGE of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Now that you have come back into the presence of God by trusting complete and absolutely in the Spirit of Grace, I pray that the Lord Jesus will help you to set aside any hurt or bitterness you may hold toward the Catholic church or any other sect that may have caused your conscience to be burdened.... After all God loves all in this way....He has forgiven everyone forever and never counts their sin against them. That's His promise....He only asks one question....Do we believe Him? Acts 7:59-60 NKJV - And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep. ❤🫂❤

@@spangledsky777 Thankyou my beloved, Your kind and encouraging words are like food for my soul....Thankyou If I can share openly with you...we do struggle in our carnal (natural/temporal/created) bodies to fathom the depth and riches of God's Love... For instance if I proposed to you that God is Love and God is all and in all....would you believe it. If I then said God is light amd in Him is life and He is the light of all men...would you believe it. By extension if I then said because God is all in all and God is love and in God is life and in Him there is no death or darkness...that all live, would you believe it. What if I said not "once saved always saved"....but rather "ALL SAVED"...would that offend you. Blessings to you my beloved.... ❤🫂❤

Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- Faith is a gift from God granted to those who have repented first. 9not by works, so that no one can boast. Our works we've done regardless of how noble or much (Outside of Christ) are as filthy rags in God's eyes. Paul makes clear that we are to do works in Christ. Jesus says we are to do works (bear fruit) in His name. John 15:1-6 Matthew 10:8 Matthew 28:19 John 14:12 And More. James and Paul are on the exact same page. Acts 26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God,(Believe) and do works meet for repentance. Show your faith through your works (actions) James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? James 2:17-19 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. James 2:21-24 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Without works Abraham's faith would have been meaningless. True repentance leads a person to acknowledge and renounce sin, to God and prove it with a 180-degree change of their lifes direction. Repentance requires true brokenness. Repentance is not asking the Lord for forgiveness with the intent to go back to the sin(s) again. Repentance is an honest, regretful acknowledgement of sin with a heartfelt desire to change. John 3:16 For so God (once loved) (past tense) the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes (continues believing) present continuous tense in Him. To believe is Faith produced by repentance.

Otherwise it would say For by grace and faith are ye [ saved and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: ] We don't do works for salvation. We do works after salvation as Jesus says. Salvation can be forfeited. 1Corinthians 9:27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 2 Peter 2:20-22 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 22Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” g and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.” Matthew 24:9-13 Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. Colossians1:23 IF ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister. 2 Timothy 2:12 IF we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; If we deny Him he will deny us. There are many more. Osas doesn't appear in scripture.

Yes, we believe - we believe in Jesus’ finished work on the cross - His death, burial and bodily resurrection for our justification, shedding His perfect blood as payment for our sins. Because we believe in His SACRIFICE, we have the promise of everlasting life. If someone doesn’t understand the Gospel, 1 Cor 15:1-4 (not John 3:16), and they subsequently don’t believe in His sacrifice, they don’t have everlasting life simply because they claim a promise. That’s the same thing as saying a person is saved because they said a prayer. Agree 100% that “we” aren’t the assurance of salvation. Our assurance that we’re going to Heaven to be with the Lord for eternity is that we’ve believed the Gospel, thus receiving everlasting life. 1) We hear the Gospel - 1 Cor 15:1-4 2) We believe the Gospel - 1 Cor 15:1-4 3) We’re sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption of the purchased possession (ourselves). Eph 1:13-14 Faith in a promise isn’t what saves. Faith in the shed blood of Jesus and His death, burial and resurrection for our justification is what saves. THEN we have the promise of everlasting life. We need to make sure the object of our faith, trust, belief are in the correct place. And, that’s Christ Himself and what He did. We have the promise because we’ve believed in what He did for us. 👍

The Greek word EIS has 2 different meanings. #1 EIS can mean "in," or #2 EIS can mean "into." The early interpretators used the word "in" instead of "into" when translating the bible. Maybe because they weren't born of God and therefore didn't have spiritual discernment?!(Devils tactics). Here's an example....One person believes "in" the ocean by observing it from the shoreline, while another believed "into" the ocean and became immersed with it. Big difference. John 3 16 is .." whosoever believeth"into" Jesus should not perish...." The Recovery bible version corrects these. You have to believe "into" Jesus for salvation. Have to yield "into" life eternal (which is Jesus) and not just say you believe while standing away from Life eternal. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. John 5 40.

Believing in Christ entails commitment to Christ, trust in Christ, allegiance to Christ. God transforms us, though we are not perfected until Christ returns. The Scripture that Wilkins selectively quotes to his own ruin also says: "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God." (1Co 6:9-11 NAS) And again: "Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." (Gal 5:19-21 NAS) Wilkins and his fellow "free-grace" (their term) advocates claim one and even deny Christ and persist in unbelief and rebellion against Him and yet receive eternal life because of a temporary false faith. But Jesus says: "Everyone therefore who shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven." (Mat 10:32-33 NAS)

Exactly. A question I have for Lordship Salvationists is this; if someone is completely disabled, bed ridden and not able to move or speak. It's not at about physical work, it's about; If one is truly born again there will be evidence of a changed life. 2 Corinthians 5:17. If the Holy Spirit is indwelling the person that person will not be the same. Repentance must precede faith. In other words a person cannot be saved if that person continues as they were before, in ongoing sin.

❤ What do you feel when I drop a heart on this message? I assert from my experience in relationships with people and with God that. Both my emotions and my analytical mind benefit my faith in God. It is both beings in me that God created. In some ways, my emotions are stronger and vice versa. Have you ever seen anyone die/sacrifice/desire something to the end with logic / mind? I think they can do it even with emotions. It exists in human being. But the benefit is not to separate it, but to unite it for a pursuit that only God can see deep in the heart. V Therefore, He gave instructions when the disciples wanted to go and rebuke him because of that, He saw its near future.

Romans 4:5-8- But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. God doesn't need your rags or attempts at righteousness to save you. You are saved by Grace. This means its not something you earned, it's the unmerited favor of God. He says anyone who believes in him will never die, not anyone who believes and him and stops sinning. Your sin will bring the chastisement of God but you will not be condemned and cannot be condemned if you believe in Christ and what he has accomplished for you.

My problem is many times I’ve thought I believed something, but my actions showed I did not truly believe. Also the Bible shows it is possible to believe and have unbelief at the same time. It would be good to rationalise the difference between belief and faith, I think this is what the book of James explains. Even demons believe. Faith is what you believe put into action. Can’t you tell someone’s beliefs via their actions? I think it could be best to analyse is there a difference between belief and faith

Without Faith, it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6). By Grace, you are saved through Faith (Eph 2:8). This is the victory, which overcomes the world: Our Faith (1 John 5:4). What is this Faith in these verses? It is the Faith taught by the Catholic Church which Our Lord founded (Matt 16:18-19) and sent to teach all for salvation of souls until the end of the world (Matt 28:20, Mark 16:16). To be saved, we must live by Faith in Jesus Christ (Gal 2:20) according to the teachings of the Church (Rom 6:17) and daily crucify the desires of the flesh, so that sin does not reign over our mortal bodies (Rom 6:12). St. Paul says, "You are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience to Faith, which leads to righteousness (Rom 6:16)." Whoever sins belongs to the Devil and no one, who is begotten by God, commits sin (1 John 3:8-9). Our Lord is the Head of His Church, which is His Body and His Bride, whom He saves (Eph 5:23), as He is the Good Shepherd who saves the sheep in His Only Fold (John 10:14-16, 27-28). That's why 'Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus (outside the Church, no salvation)' is a Catholic Dogma (Catechism #. 846). For further information on this, please watch The Forgotten Dogma: No Salvation Outside the Catholic Church by Father Isaac Mary Relyea on KZfaq. Why stay outside of His Sheepfold and risk your eternal salvation? Come quickly to His Fold before it is too late, so that you may hear His Voice, know and follow Him, and be saved by Him. Amen!

Ironically, majority of Christians (Lordship people) seem to think they can be obedient enough, repent enough etc to have their salvation. Because if you ask them, they would say they are saved. They also would share the gospel this way- that a person not only needs to believe, John 3:16, but they also need to repent and obey. The gospel is under Siege.

We believe in Him for eternal life. 1 timothy 1:16 “However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.” It’s believing what he said in John 3:16, that you will never perish that you have eternal life. Do your believe that? Do you believe you will never perish because you believe in Him? Or do you believe you must also deal with your sin? Or be a committed follower? …. Believing in Him is defined by the context.

John wants believers to be assured of salvation. First read 1 John 5:13 [These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God;] that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. The argument John is making here is first that everyone who believes in Jesus has been born of God (the new birth) Next everyone who loves the Father loves those who also have been born again. How do we know we love God as well as those who are His? John explains how a true believer will be living. What is the evidence of a true believer that John is talking about? Read from 1 John chapter 1 through 1 John 5:12 where he describes how a true believer will be living. A summary of those preceding verses. 1 John 1:6-7 (IF) we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.Ch.2:3-5 And hereby we do know that we know him, [IF] we keep his commandments.4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 9Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness.15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-comes not from the Father but from the world. 17The world and its desires pass away, BUT WHOEVER DOES THE WILL OF GOD LIVES FOREVER. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him. 1 John 3:4-10 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness5But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. 7Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. 9No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. 10This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. 1John 5:1-4 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Very intense discussion here in comments section, works, faith, salvation,,, promise, I'm not very well read in Holy Word, so I wont even touch in there, I'm quite newbie in my walk with Christ, I don't want to divert subject of discussion on my testimony, just explaining I'm born again, once lost and found sheep, called my Our Lord Savior 🙏 just wanted to add not scriptural ( from reason I stated above), but something to ponder about from life,. Some while ago in Grace church I used to attend ( cause had to change location for my family) I heard beautiful testimony on behalf of older brother's mother, who all her life was typical catholic church goer, more from tradition then anything else, though her son didn't miss opportunity to introduce Christ as her personal Savior. It just couldn't "click" with her after years of programming in Catholic church,,,but this brother, her son never gave up praying for her and "smuggling" teachings. Finally the old then lady, and sick in hospital, weak from hard life, finally she received Christ as her savior not long before she died...we all have tears in eyes listening to this touching story, so in this real life example - this old lady obviously didn't have works, cause she was in bondage to old religious system, but she came to faith before she died, so - does she have eternal life or not? We can think of many similar examples, what about real bad sinners on death row for example, which met gospel in prison and accepted it truly before he died? What about man on cross which hung beside Christ, ? I can multiple examples but point is the same, I was lost in New Age philosophies, but always deep down felt protection and hand of Christ (was raised in Catholic church, but couldn't deal with it and rebel ), Lord himself called me back and I'm so grateful no words can describe, but it's process of deprogramming from all falsehoods and Holy Spirit leading ppl to sanctification, it's not like eastern mysticism - working your way to enlightenment, or have some satori moment and glowing, it's different for everyone, but we trust our Lord He does work in our hearts and minds. I can say for myself that I see big difference between myself year ago and today, and still it's lots of work until I die, but I know I'm in God's hand and no matter what happens He has me. Ofcourse I want be best as possible, but it's not possible in this world. We all make mistakes, apostles were having problems, demon in Peters was rebuked by Christ, Peter turn from Lord twice, many apostles didn't understood Christ at first and they were far from perfect, but in the end they died for faith.... it's only logical, if we Love our Savior, we want to bring Him best testimony through our lives, but to be on guard and thinking perfection is more in tune with eastern mysticism then Christ, which came for lost and sinners, not to perfect ppl which wouldn't need salvation then right? Call me stupid, but that's how I understand it ...

It is Christ's grace that saves, not works. However, He bestows this grace and salvation on genuine (not false) believers with a saving faith expressed through the loving care and charity shown to others. Christ condemns hell believers who don't care about or help the sick, prisoners, and poor. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven... Matt 7:21-27 ... ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’... Matthew 25:31-36 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?... You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only... For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:14-16

@alvinfen4511 Only God knows who goes where. "Judge not lest ye be judged." -Jesus What is certain from what Christ and the apostles wrote is that if you go on sinning on purpose (without repentance) and not helping the poor, you will sow what you reap. Goodbye Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers...nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Cor 6:9,10 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey-whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. Romans 6:1,2, 14-17 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?... You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only... For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Matthew 25:31-36 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’-and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked..." Rev 3:15-17 And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’? But will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded [a]him? I think not. So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’ ” Luke 17:7-10

To believe and have faith in Jesus is obeying ... The Greek word is Pisteuio and means just that. When we rely simply on the English version of believe, our faith can become transactional. Pisteuō is not a transactional term. It smacks of following (i.e., adhere to). Jesus didn’t invite people into a transaction. He invited people to follow him. Transactions tend to be clean and clear-cut. Following is messy (ask the original disciples!). Transactions are not relational. Following is highly relational. In my observation, western Christianity tends to lean transactional.

To believe that you are saved by Jesus is not what it means to believe in Jesus. To believe in Jesus is to believe in who he says he is. If you believe he is the Truth, then all of his words are true and we need to know and believe all his words to the point that they are the truth we are living out of. This includes repentance, baptism, obedience, sowing, etc. I am not saying it's faith + works= salvation. I'm saying that repentance, baptism, obedience, sowing are Christ's teachings, which are what we trust if we trust in Him. Why would we ignore the directions of someone who is the Way to God and then expect to arrive? Repent, be baptized, and let Christ live through you starting today. This video is not in line with the scriptures, which DO say to examine yourself to know whether or not you are in the faith. See 2 Corinthians 13:5. It's very important to examine yourself. Do you see Christ utilizing your body and tongue? You need to. Submit today and let the Spirit lead you.

We are saved by trusting in the Lord Jesus death, burial and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins. The Gospel by which we are saved is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins that we read in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Ephesians 2:8-9 says that our salvation is THE GIFT OF GOD and that we are saved by grace through our faith and not according to the sins we do not commit or the so called good we do.

@@Adam-ed6vm You stopped at Acts 16:31 read next 2 verses Acts 16:32-33 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. What was the word of God they spake to the jailer? We can surmise it was to repent of sin since the next scripture says the jailer and all his were water baptized. We know Peter or Paul would only water baptize as the final part of repenting of sin. 33And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. Paul again Acts 22:16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. This scripture is as close as any one scripture can be to the gospel in a nutshell. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 1 Peter 3:20-21 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Remember even Jesus was water baptized to set an example for us. Matthew 3:14-17 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Water baptism is the burying of the old sinful man and the rising of the new man.

@@Adam-ed6vm Jesus nor Peter or Paul ever said Trust in Him for the forgiveness of sins. They all said Repent. False teachers have changed Repent to Trust. Two different meanings. Jesus's first command when He started His earthly ministry was Repent. Mark 1:15 The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” Matthew 4:17 Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near. Peter: Acts 3:19 REPENT YE therefore, and be converted believe), that YOUR SINS MAY BE BLOTTED OUT, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 11:18 When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.” Peter warns 2 Peter's 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, but that ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE Peter is clear REPENT OR PERISH just as Jesus said in Luke 13:3 Paul Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent. Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Acts 26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. How to be saved Repent of sin. Believe by faith that Jesus died was buried and rose again for our sins. Be water baptized to complete repentance by the burying of the old sinful man and the rising of the new. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The only way to obtain grace is to repent of sin then by doing so we show the fruit of being a true believer. To believe is faith produced by repentance.

@@GESvids Believers are just that, I don't believe in God or that there is a God, I KNOW there is a God, I also don't believe there's a Jesus, I KNOW there's a Jesus, KNOWERS are the one's that make believers of others, knowing about God will differ in everyone depending what they been taught about God, the best example I can give you that's the difference in believers and knowers is like someone that got shocked by electricity, he's the one that KNOWS what electricity will do to you IF you touch it, that person depending on whom he cares about will try to make believers of what he's experienced, hopefully being motivated by love or concern but that's not the case for all, just depends on what motivates him, what pleases God is faith or belief, knowing God exist effects the person in a different way, that person now becomes way more concerned about the things of God and begins searching for answers, this happens because of their desire to know the truth, these people that KNOW God exist now become concerned with God's judgement, the answer to all of his questions don't come overnight or in one experience, it didn't happen with Paul nor any other apostle or disciple, they ALL had to LEARN, everyone that God calls ( this is not a salvation calling ) it's a calling to preach the word of God, His will and His commandments, in this every man called will give account to God for what he preached or taught others, knowers job is to make believers out of unbelievers, there are many whoms belief is so strong they think they know God, just depends on what they believe and what they learned or been taught, the main point in belief in God has to do with judgement, they both go hand in hand, if you believe in God then you also believe in His judgement, a person that believes in God and His judgement will have a difficult time sinning, the stronger the belief, the more difficult it is to sin, SIN is the problem, dealing with it is the solution, example, a unbeliever, someone about to steal something, what's going on in their minds, I know and you know, what he looks for is who see's him, why? judgement, all he is concerned about is whether the police see him or not, why? judgement, a person that has a conscience towards God, their mind is different, why? judgement, he believes God see's him even when the police are not around, the battle begins within, the stronger his faith=belief in God is, judgement, creates in him what the bible calls " The Fear of the Lord", he should fear if he's about to sin thinking, dang it, God see's me, He will punish me, the whole point in advocating a belief in God and His judgement concerning sin is to help that person have the power to resist sinning, if there is no judgement, there would be nothing to fear or keep us from sinning, the only reason you or I or anyone else does not do what we are taught is evil has to do with judgement, a person strong in the faith=belief will NOT SIN, a person weak in the faith=belief is not that concerned with judgement, some will even say, well God will forgive me, that's not entirely true, KNOWING murder is wrong or will be punished by God severely will surely be enough to keep one from committing murder, there's a difference in knowing your sinning and not knowing when or if you sin, the bible deals with that but it doesn't say, " when you sin " it say's IF you sin, one is premeditated, the other is accidental or because you are weak, if you were a murderer before you got saved and it was murder you repented of, then murdered someone again, you have only returned to the state of being you were before you got saved, that doesn't apply to ALL sins, God judges sin according to the degree of the sin, not all sins will separate you from God, which one's will? personally there's not a lot of sins that will but most don't know that, many think if they lie, God will send them to hell, among many other examples of sins we ALL commit, however there is a sin that will separate a man from God, maybe you know the scripture, I fully understand why the commandments of God are not the focal point with many, the focal point with many is just a belief in Jesus, the bible says Jesus said, he that keeps His commandments are the one's that love Him, the bible also says, he that says he knows Him but doesn't obey His commandments are liars, there's way more emphasis being placed on keeping His commandments in the bible than just believing in Him, the bible also says, the devils in hell believe in Jesus but you know they will not be saved, why? because they oppose His commandments, Jesus never once said he opposed the commandments, he only opposed their understanding of them, by the way, the commandments Moses was given on the mount were given to him by Jesus or the Yahweh God, the Yahweh God is Jesus, because so many couldn't accept Him being that God because He was in human form, Jesus focused His attention on God's Law, keeping the commandments was the way to eternal life, Jesus told the rich man that the problem he had with his love for things was the reason he had no joy, Jesus didn't tell him he wasn't going to heaven or inherit eternal life, he actually was from his own admission, all those he had kept from his youth, that man believed keeping the commandments should have gave him the peace and joy he was seeking that he saw Jesus and his disciples having, not the case concerning peace and joy and possibly love for others, what that man had was worry and fear, the fear of losing what he had, he was trying to deal with the NOW, not the hereafter, what the bible teaches is NOT just for the hereafter, it's also for the NOW, the kingdom of God is upon us NOW, most of what Jesus taught is for the NOW and how to live a life free of concerns, a lot has nothing to do with getting into heaven, what battles against your soul or your emotional well being has more to do with the love of things than just the possession of things, anyway, there are MANY that will keep God's Law having never even heard about Jesus, just by the Law He has written on their hearts, Paul agrees with this in Romans, there are two beliefs out there where only one is true, the belief in Jesus and who He is, that was preached first to the Jew then the gentile, to the Jew that believed in who Jesus was, this statement began, Jesus is Lord, that statement is incomplete but enough to figure out the meaning IF you know Hebrew, saying Jesus is Lord during their time would have been saying Jesus is Yahweh, Yahweh means Lord, saying that could have got you killed and it did many, recognizing Jesus is Yahweh also meant recognizing He is the main God of the old testament, only those recognizing that could relate the commandments given to Moses were from Him and not the God Jesus revealed to them was the Heavenly Father which they all thought was their Lord, Jesus description of the Heavenly Father or our Heavenly Father is WAY more powerful than the Yahweh God, to US there is but one God and one Lord, you know the scripture, He was a God before He came in the form of a man, which God? the SON, by Him and through Him were all things that were created were made, His beginning is the firstborn of all creation, or the first words God the Father spoke, let there be " LIGHT " the apostle John recognized this from their own scriptures and AFTER Jesus rose from the dead, Thomas too when he got on his knees and said " My Lord and My God" all those that recognized Jesus for who He was and what He taught ALL recognized the importance of keeping His commandments, belief IN Jesus IS keeping His commandments, not believing IN JESUS is opposing His commandments, it's that simple

It is beyond my understanding how this man claims to be a minister of God. My point is that he titled his video " How To Do I Know That I'm Saved". He never once went to a scripture that directly addresses his title. 1st John chapter 3 verse 14. Thats how you know. Romans chapter 5 verse 5 explains how you can love the brethren. I implore all so-called believers to examine your hearts . Man looks at the outward appearance, but God sees the heart. If the Love of God is in your heart, then you know you know the you are saved. Peter 2:20-22 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. @Alvin Fen John 3:16 is not a scripture to be used to win souls. It wasn't meant for salvation or John would have talked of repentance. John's gospel was written 60 years after Jesus's death on the cross. Well after Matthew Mark and Luke. John makes this clear in John 20:31 But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name. So after 60 years people were coming to all kinds of notions, with the help of a false teacher named Cerinthus that Jesus was not fully God, or that He wasn't fully man. It was getting very close to what Jehovah's witnesse's believe. John wrote to already repented and baptized believers that Jesus was fully human when He wept at Lazarus's tomb. Also that He was fully Devine and there are 7 witnesses that He was the Son of God, and 7 miricles greater than the other gospels, that point to His divinity and 7 statements beginning with I Am which is God's name. I Am the living God. 7 witnesse's 7statements, 7 miricles that Jesus was and is fully God. As John makes clear his gospel was written to encourage and show that Jesus is the son of God and to CONTINUE BELIEVING that. That's why believe is used so often. If John's gospel like you claim is the the only Gospel for evangelism then how were people born again during that 60 year period till John wrote it? Matthew Mark and Luke is the gospel of Jesus to be used for evangelism. To erroneously claim John's gospel, which doesn't mention repentance is for salvation would make the word of God inconsistent. Jesus makes repentance of sin abundantly clear in the first 3 gospels and the same John has many quotes from Jesus on Patmos, at the end of his life in Revelation.

@@DW-yl9ww “But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?”” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:16‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Says the same thing in ESV. Grace is unmerited favour shown by God. Instead of getting what we deserve, we get what we don’t, that’s grace. The grace of God does teach us to deny ungodliness… he’s talking to already save believers that because they’ve been saved, by grace, we should walk worthy. It’s our reasonable service to do so. Unfortunately you’re backloading works into the salvation message which means you’re preaching what the apostle Paul calls an accursed false gospel message when he rebukes saved believers in Galatians for falling into works based sanctification. Having started in the spirit are you now made perfect in the flesh? The answer is no. Saved by grace through faith alone, kept the same way and sanctified in the same way too. Being justified how? FREELY BY HIS GRACE. Faith alone does not include working and submission and repentance from sin, when you add those things, you may as well just become a Roman Catholic and say to be saved and to stay saved you need to do X,Y,Z and join all the other works based false religions. I’ll stick with Jesus and the apostles. And when I die or the rapture comes, I won’t be saying “ Lord lord look at all the things I did in your name” I’ll be saying “ Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe, I brought nothing at all, I trusted your word that whoever believes has eternal life”

No it's not "that simple". You can't just read the Gospel of St John the Evangelist. You have to read all of the New Testament. You can't cherry-pick the parts of Scripture that speak of the need for faith to be saved by grace and ignore the passages that speak of the need for a saving faith bearing fruit as works to be saved. "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven...

@alvinfen4511 How convenient to ignore the rest of the Bible so you don't have to be obedient and abstain from sin as much as you can, and be generous to the poor! Do not be deceived into expecting to inherit the Kingdom of God if you think you can abuse God's grace because you can't. Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? James 2:14-16 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven...

@alvinfen4511 so are the Scriptures I sent you crystal clear. Demons believe yet are not saved. No matter how much faith you have, you can't go out into the world hating, raping & murdering and be saved. You can't go out hating, swearing & having sex outside marriage, stealing & lying to your heart's desire, and keeping all your money to yourself & your family and not helping the poor and expect God to forgive you and justify you and save you. If you are genuine and love God, you will want to obey Him and will do your best to obey Him by staying away from sin as much as you can and repenting whenever you've strayed. If you have a saving faith and are born again, you will love and want to obey God; you will love others and want to give to them and help them. However, if you are a FALSE FAKE believer, you will pick out the bits of the Bible about faith out of context so you can go on sinning not caring that other people are suffering and starving to death and will increase your risk of judgement, condemnation and Hell. Faith alone and grace alone are HERESIES.

@alvinfen4511 “Jesus took away the sins of the world thereby making everybody savable.” I agree completely: Jesus’s work makes us savable. How does one go from being savable to being actually saved? By believing in the one whom the Father has sent. So you should believe EVERYTHING Jesus says, even “Do not be amazed at this, because the hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and will come out, those who have done good deeds to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked deeds to the resurrection of condemnation.” John 5:28-29. Grace is not “no effort.” Grace is “gift.” The free gift we receive in and thru Christ is new life, everlasting life. This is more than simply life without end, because even the folks in Hell have that! Eternal life is sharing God’s own life. The “works” which are opposed to grace are “works of the law,” meaning circumcision, kosher observance, etc. Not all works are “works of the law.” There are also good works done by grace in accord to the Law of the Spirit, the Law of Christ.

@alvinfen4511 First of all I am flabbergasted that you said it’s “nonsense” to believe “everything Jesus said” as if anything Jesus said was superfluous or optional. You’re the one claiming that John is the only evangelistic gospel. Well, if that’s true, then John 5:28-29 is part of the Gospel too, something that we need to know and take seriously if we are to be saved. Second: yes, you must be born again and the new birth is God’s free and unmerited gift. However, John 5:28-29 is concerned with the future judgement at the resurrection. The new birth is the beginning; the resurrection is the end when all must give an account to Jesus of what use we made of what he gave us. That includes you, friend. How embarrassing it will be for you and your co-religionists at the resurrection when Christ will hold you accountable for the grace so richly bestowed on you and you’ll have nothing to show for it. And worse yet, Jesus will ask you to explain why you ignored His word in John 5:28-29! You better bring a change of underwear ‘cause you’re going to need it.

@alvinfen4511 A few random reactions to your stringing together odd snippets of Scripture to create a thoroughly incoherent eschatology. The correct translation of John 5:24 is “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes in the one who sent me has eternal life and will not come to condemnation, but has passed from death to life.” It does not say, as you claim, that believers won’t be subject to the final judgement. Rather, those who believe can be confident they will not be condemned when they are judged. What’s weird about your interpretation of the Great White Throne judgement is this: no one who is born again (according to you) is subject to the GWT judgement. Only not-born-again people are subject to the GWT judgement, and Jesus teaches that those who have done good deeds will receive the resurrection of life (John 5:29). So according to you, non-born again people can be saved by works. Revelation is a hard book to understand and your clunky interpretation is quite amateurish. You are also slipping into Gnostic dualism when you say things like the born again person cannot sin, and when he does sin it’s the flesh that sins. Assurance is not the essence of saving faith; obedience is. This is why the Apostles were sent forth: to bring about the obedience of faith among the Gentiles (Romans 1:5) and to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 288:19). By severing John’s Gospel from its NT context, you are dooming yourself to misinterpreting it. It could well be that John, the last gospel to be written and well aware with what Matthew Mark & Luke had already written, was presenting complimentary information to be received in concert with the Synoptics.

The gospel call to faith presupposes that sinners must repent of their sin and yield to Christ’s authority.” In other words, a sinner who refuses to repent is not saved, for he cannot cling to his sin and the Savior at the same time. And a sinner who rejects Christ’s authority in his life does not have saving faith, for true faith encompasses a surrender to God. Thus the gospel requires more than making an intellectual decision or mouthing a prayer; the gospel message is a call to discipleship. The sheep will follow their Shepherd in submissive obedience. Jesus’ repeated warnings to the religious hypocrites of His day as proof that simply agreeing to spiritual facts does not save a person. There must be a heart change. Jesus emphasized the high cost of discipleship: “Whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:27), and “Those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples” (verse 33). In the same passage, Jesus speaks of counting the cost; elsewhere, He stresses total commitment: “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62). In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says that eternal life is a narrow path found by “only a few” (Matthew 7:14); in contrast, some seek to broaden the path so that anyone who has a profession of faith can enter. Jesus says that “every good tree bears good fruit” (verse 17); in contrast, some say that a tree can still be good and bear nothing but bad fruit. Jesus says that many who say “Lord, Lord” will not enter the kingdom (verses 21-23); in contrast, some teach that saying “Lord, Lord” is good enough. Paul and James taught that a true profession of faith will be backed up by evidence of faith. If a person is truly following the Lord, then they will obey the Lord’s instructions. A person who is living in willful, unrepentant sin has obviously not chosen to follow Christ, because Christ calls us out of sin and into righteousness. Indeed, the Bible clearly teaches that faith in Christ will result in a changed life 2 Corinthians 5:17 Galatians 5:22-23 James 2:14-26

@derektyler9308 Yes a disciple will do works as Jesus commanded. The scriptures you quoted tell us our works are not enough for justification. In Ephesians 2:10AMP Paul makes that distinction. For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above--spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. Paul also tells us to repent of sin have Faith and demonstrate your repentance by your deeds works . Did Jesus ever say a true repentant believer has the option of becoming a disciple?
