Utter embroidery beginner, just want to practice by doing a little design on a t-shirt collar. Some stabilizer recommended for the process. This video was VERY helpful!

You never mentioned a Cutaway. Everything but the power mesh was a tear away. So many designs are over 10,000 stitches.

I do not use stabilizer when quilting in the hoop as recommended by Eileen Roche of Designs and Machine Embroidery (DIME). Works beautifully as the 3 layers of the quilt provide sufficient stabilization

Can you share more info on how to use stabilizer for machine embroidery? Do you need to also add interfacing - and in which order? Do you need to add water soluble stabilizer always with a sheet stabilizer? There’s so much info out there it’s overwhelming! I just want to actually get good embroidery on some flannel!
