“The simple step of a courageous individual is not to take part in the lie. One word of truth outweighs the world.” ― Alexander Solzhenitsyn “For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” ― John 18: 37-38 There has always been and will always be people who support subjective truth. As someone who falls into that latter category, I appreciate your words on that. It is also a big help to me who has felt pressure not from God but from the world to air out everything which I feel often does far more harm than good. There is a very small amount of people who know of my particular struggles with some of these things and even fewer who know of my even deeper struggles. And I often feel the world pressures me to feel guilty about not being “out and proud” as it were, but I try not to be. I just want to live life as a Catholic and grow in faith and virtue and became gradually more sanctified and we don’t need to have all our struggles plastered on our forehead in order to address them. Some struggles and crosses are meant to be private and there’s nothing wrong with that so long as we are striving in a Catholic manner and working to grow in virtue and eliminate sin from our lives.

@@annmcerlean5017 Leviticus 18:22 is what God told Israel through Moses. So we already know there is something wrong with LGBTQ which is why they have formed an anti-religion that tries to mimic real religion even if they act as if they are areligious (you can be aspiritual, but religion is a communal thing). ... I say that in Christ, it is up to every one of the LGBTQ people (whether they identify as a part of that "community" or not) to struggle with God regarding what Leviticus 18:22 delineates as a sin. Most things are not "between God and me" besides that we are loving and trying to remind people not to be particular ways. However, there are always exceptions (so as to prove the rule) and, thus, that truly would be "between God and me". I can see LGBTQ being a symptom of a population limit being hit, mathematically and scientifically. The cause of LGBTQ would probably be poor Christian theology: God says to be fruitful and multiply; yet, we are making it easier to question "why?" instead of suffering through a struggle with God for our own normal passions so as to have good theology to center our society onto Christ/God. ... As such, I see LGBTQ people as probably being in line with God and, yet, the symptom of something clearly bad (because Leviticus 18:22 calls LGBTQ an abomination) is something that can't be addressed except by expounding Christ.

Really something has changed after the pandemic, it got a new impetus. The movement, the politics. I agree, the case by case isn't enough. I see people often focus on issues in a separated way, as in homosexuality, transgender etc. But it misses the bigger picture. Namely, the issue of an enormous relaxation of sexual norms and limitations. Somehow, in the current secular culture, the sexual relations, from being a cultural taboo, something that is to remain veiled and guarded by various regulations (such as permissible only within marriage), became not only 'anything goes,' but also something to be openly and publicly displayed, etc. And I agree, identity politics plays a role here as well. So that's how now homosexuality or transgender issues can now dominate the public discourse. But it's only a symptom of a wider problem. Because the problem isn't only about the deviations (as in against the natural law), but about the sexual immorality in general. As as society, we've somewhat lost a sense of shame and of privacy of a sexual sphere. So I think the main 'frontier' to 'fight' against it, is sexual morality and purity. It's about showing the beauty of purity, especially in the form of virginity and celibacy, as well as the beauty of a rightfully ordered family life. (and should go without saying: no adultery, no fornication, no pornography, etc.) Of course, to do that, one needs to incorporate that into their own life first, an example and integrity are most effective. But also to remind others, to re-set the norms and the boundaries of sexuality and privacy. As Catholics we might particularly remember, that we are the temples of the Holy Spirit and sons and daughters of God, and to remind others that that it is who they are as well!

One of the factors as to why people don't "speak up" that I never see discussed is that these issues seem to be a bigger deal on Twitter, KZfaq, and the media. A lot of companies put a rainbow up and then don't do anything else so employees aren't really impacted. I know a ton of people who work for local companies that don't experience anything related to pride. Schools are out in the Midwest so nothing going at achool. In fact, conservative channels were the ones pushing all this stuff onto my feed this past month. This isn't to say that it's not concerning or we should do nothing, but more to say that a lot of people aren't affected by it in their day to day lives.

Thank you for your videos Father, I have 8 kids from 21-2, and I find them invaluable. I am training to become a therapist and I've been grappling with the problem of fatherlessness and a crisis among men more broadly. Could you do a video on the passage from Sirach...The wickedness of a man is better than the goodness of a woman? There's some research that I came across that shows a "poor" father in the home has better outcomes for kids than an absent father. I wondered if it's related in a way to this passage. Even a good mother is no substitute for a role that should only be occupied by a father, however lacking? God bless you we have a list of priests we pray for and we've added you to the list.

I do t know Father, but i think it’s going to get worse. It’s obvious, it started with certain laws and movements and this is where we are now. I needed to hear this. Idk what to do. It’s getting to the point I do not want to buy anything anywhere! Perhaps as is this is part of our journey?!

How do you reply to a casual acquaintance proudly showing you his wedding ring his "husband" gave him at their wedding last weekend? Actually happened to me. Still not sure I handled it right.
