Thank God Almighty for bringing me to your channel! This video helped me to completely understand (and know how to apply it in my life) the verse of '...bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ'. I have been watching so many of your videos and getting wonderful biblical insight to help me through this very dark season I am going through. Thank you and God bless you all.

This scripture is so convicting & I am thankful for it as a constant reminder. It's a daily struggle to keep the strongholds from taking up residence in our minds. Thank you Lord for the truths of Scripture to go back to. Continuing to stand true to God with the 'Helmet' of salvation. The helmet protects our mind from doubting God's saving work in us.

Whenever I have a thought, I ask myself which part of Scripture it contradicts. For example, if I fantasize about my love story, I recognize that these fantasies oppose God's plan for me (Jeremiah 29:11), His sovereignty in working everything out for good (Ephesians 1:11 and Romans 8:28), and the fruit of the Spirit which includes patience (Galatians 5:22-23). To address this, I replace the fantasy with a positive thought that aligns with Scripture: "I am excited and trusting God for a beautiful love story where His glory will be seen." Then, I shift my focus to something else. In addition to this I pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help me keep my mind on wholesome and godly things (Philippians 4:8-9)

I recall hearing this concept for first time in the Freedom in Christ years back. Thoughts r constant yet to recognize when it’s from HS or not healthy takes practise but SO worthwhile becoming aware of our thoughts. CBC taught me a lot on how to identify my thoughts in the first place. Then how do i respond. Thank u 🇨🇦 ❤

Go back to the source of truth. If the thought is against the truth of Christ Jesus, it is a stronghold. Outstanding!!

You do also bring up good points about the direct and specific word "captive" as it's used in this instance in Scripture though, but the ability to take a non physical thing "captive" must mean to simply observe the thought one is in battle with, and then allow it to lose it's power within yourself/oneself by simply not allowing said thought to create psychological/spiritual reactions and thus actions, speech, etc. within oneself. Yes? No?

Well, Christ Jesus of Nazareth IS the Holy Spirit (The Christ) right? Yes? So, what does He, Himself convey to the Sons of Korah in Psalm 46? "Be still" in other words, enter into that place within oneself that allows not only all orderly and proper pray or talking to God to take place, but also all of the ability to listen to God and not contended or "wrestle" with Him within ones soul/psyché by being "still" this is undoubtedly conveying meditation or the ability to simply sit and allow one's thoughts to subside within oneself by simply allowing them to arise and not reacting to them essentially. No?

I bind negative intrusive thoughts in the name of Jesus. I have a big problem with this. I'll have intrusive thoughts that are so blashemous and disgusting.
