How do I turn on Gmail Read Receipts so I know when someone reads my email message

Google Gmail does not have a feature for Email Read Receipts.
Google Workspace does have this feature, if the Admin enabled read receipts.
There is an extension you can use in Google Chrome and Apple Safari that provides a read receipt function. It's called Streak.

Because many email platforms prohibit sending back the read request and lots of people don't want them going out.

Mr. Burress, thank you for your video! Looking for more like these re: Gmail. I did notice you mentioned Google Chrome but you did not go into it like you did about adding this extention to Safari.

I only use Chrome with my Google products. I have not tested Streak in Safari.

Is it work with mobile chrome apps ? This function is very important for me, it's indicate at least if someone is serious with our conversation.

Gmail Read Receipts will not work with Free Gmail, only with Google Workspace. You turn them on per message from the three dots in the lower right corner of the message composing box.

Will this work if the email was sent months ago?? I've sent an email to someone idk if she seen it or not

No, if you did not have this setup before sending the email, you will not know that message was read.

Will they know that I’m using this feature? I saw some videos of other extensions that show them that we’re utilizing that feature..

I have not tested this specifically Sybreeds. I think not because it only works if the email reader loads images. Streak uses a single pixel image to alert the sender if the image is displayed. I don't believe the user will know you are using the feature, unless they look for the single pixel image at the bottom of the email.
