Residents of modern megacities are accustomed to the uninterrupted water supply to their apartments. In such comfortable conditions, sometimes a false feeling is created that this important source of life is easily accessible to everyone. However, there are many places on the planet where people cannot physically afford to have an unlimited supply of clean water. One of such places is the arid Sahara desert. Today, water is extracted there with the help of special nets. What are these nets, and how does this technology work? What natural phenomenon inspired scientists to come up with a simple but effective solution to the problem? Find out about it in today's video. The slopes of Mount Boutmezguida, located on the very edge of the Sahara, are one of the driest regions of Morocco. Residents of settlements located there have long suffered from severe water shortages due to low rainfall and depletion of groundwater.

Visit mbuguss: there are some people that are using plastic wrap on posts to do this. You could possibly use plastic garbage bags onto posts. Marshall Borschel has a video about that here. You could pretty much do a pilot project at no cost if you follow his instruction. He set up as in Israel, and don’t be fooled when you see his video. It looks like he’s not in the desert, but that’s because his project has worked. There are people making nets of poly propylene and using in various shapes and configurations. There are videos on KZfaq for that. It seems to me that a person with the skills to make a net or to stretch plastic and seal the top of it, depending on the design you’re going for, could do this in spare time at no charge out of found or re-purposed or scrounged materials.

These are not the sahara, these are the atlas mountains. Mountains and coastal areas are known for their humidity, this is not the case in the sahara desert

This is not a game changer if you ask me you could build small dams and cisterns to collect water in a fraction the time and a fraction of the cost the ancient nabateans did this they collected water running off of Hills into water collection cisterns thousands of years ago I don't see why we can't apply this talk about lack of water is ridiculous if you ask me it's just being allowed to run off into the oceans

with the use of a small backhoe you could in one day make small dams and cisterns to collect water and the next day waterproof them getting the whole village involved one day's work with between four to six rainy periods per year no problem this is an ancient method of collecting water and with modern tools it can be created in a fraction of the time

We copied spiders, they use the same method to get water. We did not invent it, we copied it as we have done with many other technologies taken from mimicking nature.

Perhaps a little more research might be in order. He did say the name of the company, and that should be easy to find online. From then you should be able to contact the company directly with an email, letter, or other means. It’s a rare thing with the company who manufactures a product goes through yt to look for comments requesting information. That’s truly useful To know when you want information beyond what the provider has given in the video.
