One small correction on the subs being split 50/50. Tier two subs ($9.99) are 60/40. And Tier 3 subs ($24.99) are 70/30 favoring the streamer. Also each contract terms can vary.

Just started streaming last week, I’m up to 20 followers and am having a blast! Honestly, entertaining people with my gameplay and having fun with my viewers is great. Everyone talks about how hard it is to become some huge streamer but just doing it and being small is super fun!

What he doesn't mention , is that when you're starting off with streaming , you're lucky to have 5 viewers at any given time. It can at times take months to become affiliate status to even earn an income , and once you reach affiliate status , you're lucky to get even $100 a month.

Just a note. The split for subscribers is not always 50/50, larger streamers get bigger cuts.

As a note: Partners get a different subscription cut than Affiliates do. Tier 1 subs are still a 50/50 split, but Tier 2 subs are a 60/40 split, and Tier 3 subs are a 70/30 split. Also, depending on a streamer's popularity, they might even have a special deal with Twitch for a higher percentage from each sub. There are a few streamers that are so large that Tier 1 subs give them an 80/20 split ($4 for every $5 paid) instead of the normal 50/50 split ($2.50 for every $5 paid).

In the US at least, you can get away with calling the first $10,000 tax-free gifts, then the rest is taxed the same as income tax. If you have any clue what you're doing, you'll put yourself as self-employed. Not only can your streaming gear like your computer become a tax-free business expense, but you'll also have a lower tax rate, especially with the Trump tax plan in place right now. Again, this is in the US I'm talking about, don't know anything about other countries.

Actually, it's cpm would be interesting to see since porn networks are the only place where 18+ advertisers can put up ads. Pornhub being the biggest of them all, it's in a great place to charge a lot for ads and give back a bit more to "content creators", but judging by the quality of it, I don't think they're expensives ads.

genuinely dont visit porn sites myself, my gf has full access to my pc and it would be a better idea to commit suicide, but if its 18+ couldnt they just have area specific ads from local escort agency's, strip clubs and things like that... that actually make good money and supply a service outside the internet and then they could get kickbacks that way? im guessing atm its a load of ads from other porn site, penis enlargement and fake dateing sites. they cant pay much.

My gf is a "camgirl" and sometimes I join her as well from time to time if you know what I mean. It's not as big as porn, but same concept. If you stand out enough you'll make $150-$400 in around 4-5 hours. It depends on your streaming time and duration of course. We also put our Amazon wishlist and theres a way to put a PayPal donation link on some websites without being detected although it's not allowed. We're putting enough money away into real estate and other investments because obviously it is not a career.

I don't understand when people donates to big streamers, they barely say thank you and they already make a lot... Especially drdisrespect. He made 15k in 30mins of donation but he don't even say anything

Never watched the guy, but To be fair, at some point you have to stop reading out things or you'll be doing nothing but that. Still though imho should say thanks at breaks and/or the end, and have on screen acknowledgement.

Actually, shrood (shroud) says thanks even for $5. Cam models say thanks for every donation, they are waay hotter than most pornstars, esp the ugly obese (not even fat) black hideous bbws who feel they are pretty. Sorry I had to mention cam models, I started watching them only recently & I seem to like them. But ya, thousands of dollars of donations are a little too much. Much more deserving poor kids and handicaps out there.
