exactly, i see this as a mistake by both. If it were me, i would have written, give me a lower case "a". Then the confusing wouldn't be there.

Zobberi I agree , but the quotations around an uppercase makes it an excusable mistake IMO. I can see where it could cause confusion. Now the fact that he included the old logo and context clues like I want you to "keep" the "round" lowercase still makes it a laughable event. I just saw that one discrepancy and wanted to give the dude a hint of reasonable doubt.

You can argue that point. But in real life, if you cannot comprehend simple written instructions, then you will not be hired again. Even the way the designer addressed him is unprofessional. Then again, he only charges $10 for his work. That should have been a red flag, to begin with. But Harris was demonstrating the levels of services you can get from Fiveer. In the end, he showed everyone that you get what you pay for.

As a graphic designer, I don't understand how something like this can be priced so high. The last logo is just as easy to make as the first one he bought. I could make the last logo in 15 minutes or come up with a better design.

I think the first guy was confused because you said "Make it a lowercase "A"" instead of saying "Making it a lowercase "a"". He didn't realize you wanted an actual lowercase "A" because it was capital inside the quotation marks.

I'm not sure why he thought it was cool, for me that was the worst logo out of the 3. The color was so dull and the design was so generic. You could literally find a logo like that just by searching "lowercase a logo" on Google.

Not everyone wants a super textured and detailed logo, some people want something simple, minimalistic, modern, recognizable and versatile. If you make those other logos smaller, you'll lose shapes and details, in the other hand, with a simple vectorial logo you can scale it all you want, it's easier to make animations for it, it's easier to apply it to webpages, it's easier to use it in merch, etc.

@@eddie-roo that doesn't mean that you will just copy another concept, flip it upside down and then sell it to your customer for 50 bucks. Also it was pretty horrendous even looking at it from a minimalistic point of view. The gradient itself was dull looking, the background was just painfully horrible, the shadows were too harsh. Idek what those hard bevel/stroke type things were in the logo but that just made it look even more terrible.

I think the biggest issue with the first design is that you kept typing “A”, instead of “a”. I guarantee if you typed it correctly, it would have arrived how you wanted.

Honestly, Harris is so comfortable on camera it makes me feel like he's in the room chilling with me instead of on my monitor. Video quality is always appreciated (P.S. Sam's cameos and editing are always refreshing)

Fuja1K I completely agree lol, as a streamer and watcher of many streams it’s kinda huge to be able to be relatable or make an audience feel as if they’re there with you. Otherwise it kinda just feels like watching tv lol, which is the opposite of what you would want I think. It’s good that you point it out though because idk if people really realize that it’s a massively helpful quality to be warm and inviting when on camera like this man is. (Also yes I love it when Sam pops in lmao)

6:05 To be fair, you did actually put the letter in quotes "A" so I guess the artist ignored your request for lower case and assumed you had made an error. However, if he was professional the he would leave no room for ambiguity and would have messaged you for clarification. Btw, the new Logo is great. All of the logo's were great and a lot of effort was put into the 3D effect versions but usually simple designs are simply better 👍😀

Yeah bulk majority of logos you get from fiver are rip offs either made from googling "(initial) logo" or "(industry) logo". I'm a designer who used to work in small business advertising. Absolutely incredible how many logos I had to handle that were straight up copies of large competitors.

To me the first two and the third one are what perfectly show the difference between craftsmen and artists. Craftsmen know what they're doing. They are competent with the tools they are using and can deliver a solid product for the amount of money they ask. An artist however is not only competent with the tools they use. They also have a unique vision and make something that you've never thought about yourself, but also really like. This is sometimes a lot more expensive, but it's also something that you'll use longer.

The first version of the first one was literally just Starfleet XD I bought a $5 fiverr logo last week and basically just got “Daffy Duck” recolored. Wasn’t too pleased but it was $5. And yes, I noticed the new logo immediately. It’s fire

Yeah, it's only updated on the intro. What I find confusing is, intro has got a different logo, KZfaq channel another different logo, and outro the new logo XD
