These are beautiful and exactly what I was looking for as a beginner. The only question I have is why didn’t you use the pink paint on the canvas before decoupaging? Thank you 🌺

Thank you for your comment, watching the video and your support. I always use a white base for the decoupage technique, because the motif comes out better.

Are you only using water? How does the napkin stay on? What you've done is beautiful.

Thank you very much for your kind comment. Yes, I only used water to apply the napkin. Then I varnished the motif with decoupage glue (you can also use Mod Podge).

Hola buen día. Yo uso barniz-pegamento Rayher. Puedes usar Mod Podge en su lugar (agrega un poco de agua a Mod Podge). Gracias por tu pregunta y por ver el vídeo. Hello. I use Rayher varnish-glue. You can use Mod Podge instead (add a little water to Mod Podge). Thank you for your question and for watching the video. 😊

do I have to dry the napkins before to take out from the canva?
@DecoupageVintage
@DecoupageVintage 6 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the video and your comment. When you put a napkin with water on the canvas, remove the foil (do not dry the napkin), but apply varnish / glue to the wet napkin and only then dry it.

Thank you for your comment 🙂 We only use water to better apply the napkin to the canvas. Everything else I use lacquer / decoupage glue. Mod Podge is also a very good glue.

I am confused,you paint the canvas, and then only water? No M Podge???

Thank you for your question. You wrote it right, only water is of course not enough. I used glue for decoupage. Of course, you can use M Podge (which is great quality!) instead.

I see from the comments everyone else is as confused as I am...what is that first product you show, the white stuff you put in the jar cover 0:22 THIS STUFF?? Is it PAINT?? You keep saying in the comments its only water and glue (or mod podge), but we can CLEARY SEE you are using something else on the canvas that is not in English and for some reason you're not saying what it is. I looked in the video description & there is no mention of what youre doing and it just says glue and water. People would not be so confused if you just make it clear what you are doing. If it is not an important step, why include it? Please be more clear if youre making a "tutorial"... people obviously really like the results, but when the instructions are not clear, they'll stop watching thinking it's one of those fake DIY chnls and these days products are too expensive to waste trying to guess what was done or if the tutorial is even real. I love the results, but wish for more clarity! I cant understand what the 1st bottle is and the "acrylic" part is making me think its white paint. The rest is easy to see, its water on the napkin, then seal it with decoupage glue.

Thanks for watching the video and your comment. I'm sorry if I was not clear enough in which part. I always try to show (say) what materials I use. In the video at 00:22, there is white acrylic paint, which I also clearly show. White acrylic paint is important when applying, because the motif comes out more (you can also not paint, because in our case the canvas is white and you can skip painting). The question in the previous comments was about applying liquid (water) to the napkin (01:50) before placing it on the canvas, which I also demonstrate sufficiently clearly. Process (short instructions): 1. 00:48 You first apply white acrylic paint to the canvas (with a sponge, you can use a brush) and dry it (24 hours in the air or dry it with a hair dryer for a few minutes). 2. 01:10 Prepare (cut or tear) the motif (I used a paper napkin). 3. 01:49 Prepare the plastic base (it is cut from a plain old, plastic - transparent folder). 4. 01:52 Place the motif on the plastic (turn it in a mirror image). You pour water on the motif (01:56) and apply it to the canvas (02:20), and remove the foil (02:25). 5. 02:39 I cover the motif with varnish-glue (01:47) (or with Mod Podge). 6. 03:22 I paint the canvas with colored acrylic paints (03:23) (white and red). 7. Dry for 24 hours (or with a hair dryer) and the product is finished. If you have any other questions, write to me and I will be happy to answer.
