The Best way to get rid of algae in a pond is by having the right equipment. The best way to remove algae in your pond is to have a number of things in order like: good filtration, biological but also mechanical in the form of a drum filter. In this video we show you the results before and after changing the filter system of a koi pond.

Finally a video right up my alley. I've always asked for more time focused on the filtration system. Nothing else matters if that's not done right. I personally don't believe in using UVs for clearing green water. UV has its place, perhaps from a health standpoint, but for excessive nitrates nothing better than water plants. Lily pads would be useful in providing shade and helping keep the water temperature lower. Raised planters like they had and barriers at the root base would help keep the koi from digging them up. Keep up the filtration focus please. Thanks Yvo.

This pond is in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Dubai. Green and dirty water is a big problem in a lot of ponds in Dubai so great filtration systems using products from OASE makes ALL the difference

Another absolutely stunning pond with what looks to be almost more filtration than a commercial drinking water filtration plant. When I win my millions of dollars I'll be sure to contact Koi Water Barn to build me a stunning koi pond too. 😅

What a wonderful pond, respect to owner. I saw ponds made of glass, and it seems that the life of the kois in them is very sad. I am sure that real grass in the water makes the life of the fishes much more fun.

I agree it’s a very big and Luxury koi pond. Although the koi collection isn’t that impressive yet, it’s nice to show that eventually anyone can get problems if the design is not right or bad filtration. You so it here as a great example with all the algae

My son lives in Dubai and I visit often. It’s amazing how they survive in the summer 40 degrees plus. If there aircon breaks I would imagine the fish don’t survive.
