So I was thinking about all this, how you make these in-depth videos but most of the comments section is still filled with people flinging blame at Fields & I thought of a great way to shut them up & possibly grow your channel at the same time as make your videos better appreciated by separating out what is play-calling versus what _is_ the fault of the QB & players. You ready? Do a split-screen video showing Justin Fields doing in the NFL everything Caleb has done so far only in college. Flinging the ball 50+ air yards with a flick of the wrist? Check. While running, at weird arm angles? Double-check. Scrambling dead plays back to life? Come _on!_ About the one thing I think we'll have more examples of from Fields is threading passes into tight windows. I haven't seen this in the videos on Caleb at all yet. (I guess he hasn't _needed_ to). This can forever be used as a reference video any time someone leaves comments showing they don't know when it's play-calling that's responsible for bad play. Others in the comments section will constantly point this out. Anyhow, food for thought. I have no idea what your schedule is like, but this is likely that only off-season when such a video will matter.

If you're Chicago you fit the offense to Caleb, not the other way around.

Waldron is super flex on play design, no worries there.
@whrlwind54304 ай бұрын
Yes BUT if he fits well into what they already have established and have less changes to make it will overall make him a better player and the offense a better unit

What a silly comment. Like you can be critical of giving the #1 pick Keenan Allen, DJ moore, Rome Adunze. Best WR core in the nfl + Kmet, Everett, & Swift & Herbert? The offense fits anyone lol

I'm so damn psyched for the Bears!! The Caleb vibes are hitting different than the Fields vibes. All love to Justin, forever a Bear. But I really do feel a different level of hope and confidence with Caleb.

The Bears did not change their weakest links . On defensive line they got weaker. The offensive line as a Bates starting at center while he has played less than 60 snaps there the last 2 seasons combine. Nate Davis is bad at RG. TN was glad he left town after the 22 season. He is lazy. Tevin is great at RG but they have him at LG. Not getting a LT will haunt this tea. All year. I like Braxton but he Even stated that he is weak against the bulrush. Wright I think is going to be good but he vastly needs to improve in pass proas they ALL DO. Caleb is a rookie who has to learn how to read a zone defense with the cover 2 cover 3 then cover 0. He won't see much single high nor man. Keep him in the pocket and its hard for him to win. N D an UT showed that. I will be surprised if they win 8 games. Our defensive line has Sweat an that's it. We have 2 linebackers who can't cover in man. We have an old FS a SS who can't stay on the field with 2 good cornerbacks wo miss games due to injury. If they are not getting take aways their defense is mediocre against decent teams. They lost Jones and Eddie did get coverages right though he didn't tackle no one. 2 years away from serious contention. CW will be a marked man like JMac was cuz of his mouth. Hope I'm wrong

@@byronscherer5098 Ok, but take a breath.... They made huge upgrades at QB, WR2, WR3, and TE2. Not big upgrades-- huge upgrades. They fortified, if not upgraded, their RB position with Swift. Say what you want about Bates, but he HAS to be an upgrade over Patrick. I don't think there's any reason to criticize that move or to underestimate what he can contribute. I do wish they'd have improved the lines more, but you can't always get all new personnel in one offseason, and it's reasonable to expect some improvement from young guys like Dexter and Braxton Jones. Yes, they still have places that need improvement, but they should have done enough to improve the overall record, despite my opinion that having a successful offense with CW is more important than even the W/L this year.
@byronscherer50984 ай бұрын
@LSH99 swift on his 3rd team after 5 years. Bates is 1 yr removed from massive knee injury. Yes the receiver room is actuality an NFL rec group now. No team wins without strength in the trenches. I don't believe we will reap the benefits from qb change for at least a year to 2. If the line was strong then 1 yr away. Now on defense we have exchanged old for old at FS. Better tackler not as good on calling coverages. Brisker can't stay onfield we have nothing behind him. I guess they are not re upping Tevin. So he will be free agent in 25. I know I am in a minority but on pass coverage in man we are weak. Now that we didn't get pass rush edge nor a 3 tech we will have to blitz more which exposes Edmunds. Look at 2 GB games.KC an SD as well. Everybody says our schedule is weaker but it isnt weak if you want to compete in postseason. We will do good to win 8 games with rook qb.

@@byronscherer5098 They're not a perfect team. Far from it. I can't argue with the fact that strong lines are needed, but again, the lines weren't terrible last year, and I'm not going to assume there won't be improvement on both sides this year. Maybe there won't be, but I'm going to wait and see there. The secondary is young except for Byard. No reason to think there can't be improvement there. I'm also not going to underestimate Caleb Williams until he gives me a reason to. Nobody expected Houston to be good enough in any area to allow CJ Stroud to do what he did last year. The Bears' expectations are higher, both for the rest of the team and for the QB. I'm not saying it's a lock that he'll deliver, but optimism isn't unwarranted.
