If you work in the online/Internset-services industry, then you know that the server-issues aren't technically-related. EA is just trying to minimize server-costs, with minimal satisfaction from their customers. They'll continue to try to cut costs there, because it's one of the bigger pillars of costs to keep their games running.

It's crazy how they can just put an unfinshed game out like that the fucking beta I played man was so slow I swear and when I shot the ball I couldn't believe how bad the shooting was honestly horrific.

the line services revenues (in-game purchases) is huge, and you're both correct to point out the $194M in decreased costs. those both help to create the diluted earnings per share (EPS) which is THE key number for a public company. that they LOST $0.04/share last year is tremendously horrible. that they're at an EPS of $0.67 this year is a huge turn-around for them. and yet...they were down $2/share in Q1 2024. APR was down another $7/share.

The game is so dead. This is the first week I've completely lost the motivation to do rivals and WL. I'll probably just do daily play objectives and other dailies and log out

The change in expenses isn’t just the difference of net income between q1 of this year and q1 of last year. The expenses through q1 last year were 1886M, showing (12M) net loss. 1597M through q1 this year, showing 182M net income. Expenses actually went down 289M

I was 12-5 and got into a game, I scored and it instantly kicked, it counted as a loss. I won my next game to be 13-6, then apparently the ea servers were unavailable, I tried for 25 minutes nothing changed. This is terrible

If the email from the dev was correct - and no team managers listen to developers because they are focused on numbers for the store & engagement- then it’s not out of the question that this is the devs way to say fuck you to the team managers, board members and higher ups of EA - devs doing it hoping that we will kick up enough shit that things will change for everyone.. Makes sense when they aren’t being listened to and neither are we what else can they do but fuck up enough in hopes us kicking up eventually changes something
