How does FAFSA verify assets? In my last video, I talked about FAFSA verification and what to do if your student was selected for verification. In today’s video, I’m going to continue on that theme and talk a little more about a specific scenario - asset verification.
FAFSA is a great option for paying for college. So it is important that families submit accurate information and learn and understand the FAFSA verification process.

For the 24-25 fafsa form it didn’t ask me to report assets. Is that because my family is receiving snap or reduce meals at school?

Yes. Some students aren't required to report assets if they are under a certain income limit.

I have been trying hard in non profit organizations schoolarships, but I am afraid the colleges I want to apply will ask me for my FAFSA paper so I can get schoolarships from them.Still I got extracurricular classes before like soccer, ukulele, basketball,tennis, volunteer to teach at my church, help out in world of health,foreign languages, and even got some certificates from some spanish and drawing competitions. Do you think I could get an opportunity?

Many states offer alternative financial aid for undocumented students. Many scholarships don't ask for residency/citizenship status. If you have been involved in activities, you have a chance at scholarships!
