Though she’s not flipping her finger off, she explained in French in a video that she’s Canadian and it’s a hand movement people do when they get disappointed or something like that. Nothing rude intended. Go check the video you will find it not translated (unfortunately) if you type “doigts d’honneur de la Zarra à l’Eurovision :«c’était un geste de déception»”. This gesture with the middle finger going down is called “toz” and I’m familiar with it, it’s is used in France too when you are disappointed or in a meaner way if you want to taunt or mock someone who is disappointed from something (like someone losing at a game and things like that) Disclaimer: as a French native I hope I have been understandable enough here and that my English was not too bad, sorry for any possible mistakes I could have made

What a lot of people are confused about is why she was representing France when canadian. Sure she's from Montreal but that's still in Canada.

Mate, people are allowed to express disappointment yk? Also, in MULTIPLE comments it is confirmed you guys can be rude. Is it rude? Sure, if you are so offended by someone showing disappointment go ahead and complain but like, it aint the worst thing in the world yk? Ashamed of it? Bad luck, it is a gesture of disappointment, deal with it and move on already. Also, she is from Morocco and Canada, Of which, Canada is partly French.

@@jakubrozycki-iy2oi sorry to disappoint but Canada isn’t French, and Quebec is a French speaking province of Canada, but it’s not French. Part of Morocco also speak French, but they’re Moroccan, not French. So sorry to find it kind of strange that she’s the one representing our country, when she doesn’t have the same culture.
