It’s crazy to see just how dedicated araki is. He poured his heart and soul into jojo and created something millions of people appreciate. It’s crazy to think about how far he’s gone.

it's like we're in JoJo's ultimatum, more than a decade we've only had a single part of JoJo, it's like we're going to see something absurd, never seen before (technically it is)but when I think about it, this is a very big event for Jojo in general, I don't know how much time Araki has left, I hope there's as much left as he needs to finish the story(if it's ever going to end, even if he lived infinitely), I just know that I'm really excited, I hope Araki manages to at least give this part the end it deserves, my great sadness is for each of JoJo's protagonists to be able to reappear with their own part, we would need to go to part 12, and we are still in part 9, which hasn't even started, I think if at least we finish this part we will still be profitable, I just have to thank Araki and his teammates for all the work ❤️

There's a reason why Stone Ocean was the first JoJo Part to receive a Jump Cover after Phantom Blood. Parts 1 through 5 were all technically a part of one series, so it doesn't reset back to volume 1 each time a new part began. Hell, part 5 begins in the same volume part 4 ends in. Stone Ocean was the first to reset back to volume 1. In Jump, every single new series gets a cover page, and since Stone Ocean was technically a "new" series, it got a cover as well. Same goes for SBR of course.

I might get hate for this lmao Part 8 - Easily my favourite part, I know it has a lot of serious flaws and pacing issues towards the end, but I absolutely love the design of everything, the world building of Morioh, and I adore the wholesome interactions between the Higashikata family lmao. The whole fruit shop thing is really cool, Josuke's entire character and being is incredible, the characters are great, the fights are great, I love this part with a passion. Steel Ball Run - Araki's magnum opus, obviously everyone loves this part, and for good reason, it's absolutely incredible in every way, I just prefer Part 8 over it in a personal way lol. Diamond Is Unbreakable - My favourite part that has been adapted so far, the town of Morioh is amazing, and I love the main Morioh warriors, the characters in this part are so well done, especially the homie Yoshikage Kira, best villain in the series imo Crazy Diamond is one of the best stands as well, it can be used in so many amazing ways. Stone Ocean - I still have no idea why this one is so hated, it's absolutely amazing. The characters are great, Jolyne is one of the best and most fleshed out protagonists, Pucci is a fantastic and terrifying villain, the stands are super creative, and the fights are amazing too, especially with the handicap of Stone Free not being all that strong. The characters are so good, Ermes and Foo Fighters are incredible JoBros lmao Obviously, Made In Heaven is just one of the best things ever created, the ending is both depressing and really wholesome. Emporio is the actual goat Battle Tendency - Joseph Joestar, need I say more? Seriously though, the settings, the villains, the incredible mind bending fights, everything about this part is a hit, Araki did not miss with this one. At the very beginning, Speedwagon from Part 1 gets kidnapped by the Nazis in Mexico while they attempt to awaken a 4 thousand year old Aztec being... that's incredible. Golden Wind - I love the Passione Crew, the fights are amazing, the art is gorgeous, the only problem is that literally every single character, main or villain, is infinitely more interesting than Giorno lmao. His entire reason for being interesting is that he's the son of Dio. Other than that, the crew is great, La Squadra De Execuzione is amazing too (Ghiaccio best boi) and I love the Doppio/Diavolo DID concept. I will say too, King Crimson is a great stand (and band) but the final fight is just really weird and Chariot Requiem just makes it a kinda forgettable chore. Granted, I probably just need to rewatch Part 5 lmao Stardust Crusaders - Longest part in terms of anime episodes, and I know Araki was just testing the waters with it, but... there's just too many fights, and they all devolve into Polnareff or Jotaro beating the shit out of someone. Jotaro (Part 3) is a boring character (Part 4 is so good it makes Jotaro better lmao) Kakyoin doesn't do anything for most of the part, Joseph gets nerfed hard into comic relief, and Avdol gets his double death fucked up so hard. The only good main character is Polnareff, and while most of the part is a drag, the DIO fight is one of the best fights in the series Daniel J D'arby, Vanilla Ice, and Pet Shop being the best minor fights in Part 3 because they had actual consequences. Phantom Blood - A strong theme I want to mention is not that some parts are worse than others, some parts are just better, so although Part 1 is at the bottom, it's still amazing. Yes, it's very short and quite uninspired, Jonathan is a simple protagonist, and the fights are nowhere near as interesting, Phantom Blood is still a great experience. It's wholesome 80s buff men beating each other up fun. Also it has Speedwagon. Hope you enjoyed my stupid ranking, I love this series with a passion, and I hope that Part 9 can make its way to the top soon enough lmaoo I'm so excited, and I still have my hopes that the new homie's name is Gorbaggio Joestar. No reason, I just want it.

1. Stone Ocean I loved Jolyne's journey and the symbolism she represented through the part 2. JoJolion My favorite JoJo, Josuke's self-discovery and being his own person was very beautiful 3. Steel Ball Run Loved the dynamic of Johnny and Gyro, the story felt like it keeped flowing because of the race 4. Stardust Crusaders For me, I found myself laughing the most in this part it's not grand or anything just guys being dudes, out of all the parts this has my favorite crew 5. Diamond is Unbelievable Most mundane part which fits the everyday life in a town, loved how goofy the boys are in this one 6. Battle Tendency Joseph was HILARIOUS he made the part enjoyable 7. Golden Wind I love Bruno's crew but I felt like we didn't get much screen time with Giorno to ACTUALLY make him a established character because the crew showed up more than Giorno himself 8. Phantom Blood Not saying it's the worst part because I think all the parts are wonderful, it's here because this part was the foundation of the other parts with a simplistic story

this is awesome!! i only got into jojo like, 3 years ago so i feel like i've missed a lot of history (SO thankful to be here for jojolands) love videos like these!! my fav parts go in this order! 1. Steel Ball Run & Jojolion (they're tied, i love them both too much!!) 2. Stone Ocean 3. Golden Wind 4. Diamond is Unbreakable 5. Stardust Crusaders 6. Battle Tendency 7. Phantom Blood I LOVE ALL PARTS DEARLY even if part 1 is on the 'bottom' i still thoroughly enjoy it and love the story/themes of it all and how important it is by laying down the groundwork for the rest of jojo. I adore how classic the manga artstyle feels, too! It's honestly hard for me to not-love a jojo part because they all have their own amazing attributes that make them so uniquely their own.

8. Diamond is Unbreakable I like the relationship between characters, but I also felt like a lot of the characters were either kind of boring or didn't have enough screen time. I also think the first half before Yoshikage Kira is kind of boring and slow paced, with not much excitement, and there are lots of arcs that go on for too long and not much happens (like gambling with Rohan, eating Italian food, invisible baby, hunting rats) that almost feel like filler. 7. Phantom blood Pretty damn good, my only complaint is that it's quite short and it isn't as interesting as the parts that come after. 6. Vento Aureo Personally I think they could have done a lot more with the mafia theme, they don't really do a lot things that are synonymous with mob and gangster genre, and it doesn't really feel any different to the other parts, the mafia thing didn't even feel important. I also didn't really care for the ending, and the lack of final fight, and Giorno was kind of bland. 5. Stone Ocean It has the best ending, it's a perfect sendoff. But a lot of earlier fights were boring, and the maximum security part was the worst of JoJo. Also some of the main characters felt a bit underdeveloped. 4. JoJolion Started off amazing, but got kinda rushed near the end. I think Araki had too many characters, plot points and ideas all at once, and do some ended up being dropped and never brought up (flashback man, karera), Holly wasn't even saved at the end, some were suddenly killed off in an unsatisfying way, etc. It feels like a mystery story by the start, then turns into just another generic fighting manga where it just focused on rock humans, and the mystery is never Fully solved. 3. Battle Tendency Really really good, fun, interesting. I love Joseph! Maybe a bit short. 2. Steel Ball Run Amazing character dynamic between Johnny and gyro, but I wish more characters would have gotten more focus. A lot of characters had more potential but felt wasted (Sandman, Mountain Tim, Wekapipo). 1. Stardust Crusaders Not perfect by any means, but I find a lot of the fights very enjoyable, and some of my favourite fights in all of JoJo are here (Hol horse & j. Geil, steely Dan, Mariah, Darby brothers, vanilla Ice, Dio). My main reason is that it encompasses the 2 things I love most about JoJo - the cast of characters and the travel between locations. Part 3 has the most travel, over all of Asia towards Egypt, and it also has an amazing team of characters, with Jotaro, Polnareff and Joseph being some of my favourites.

I'm glad people here appreciate stone ocean more.

Don’t know why ppl r ranking the parts but I’ll go ahead and add mine (least fav to fav) Disclaimers- I’m reading JoJolion rn so I cant rank it LOL. Also I realized I don’t rly talk abt stands that much which I saw a lot of other ppl doing I’m more so just talking abt my general thoughts on these parts and their characters and overall impact on me as a fan. Obv spoiler warning too BTW just in case 7. Pt 1 I don’t absolutey hate this part- it sets the groundwork for the rest of JoJo’s fairly well, and it’s simplicity only amplifies that, which I grew to appreciate that as I went on with the series. I actually really like the first couple episodes before Dio turns into a vampire- the drama between him and Johnathon was intriguing and he was genuinely interesting as character bc of his background. I thought that would last longer honestly first time I watched it 😭 the part starts going downhill after that though. Hamon at first isn’t terrible- the Jack the ripper fight was silly and fun- however even though the part did techinally ramp up in stakes, it felt like it got more and more bland as it went on, contriving more and more useless villains and characters. It would have been better if more time was out into as Dio and Johnathon’s youth IMO, and maybe had a more natural flow into the “adventure” aspect idk fs abt that tho. Ending was amazing though and thematically set the stage for the rest of Jojo’s which was amazing. 6/5. Pt 3 This Part and the next part are close for me which is why I ranked it as both parts 😭 Pt 3 despite all its flaws has a super fun cast that really deserves to be fleshed out more, and many of the fights I do enjoy despite all the stinkers there are. Not too much to say abt pt 3 besides that it’s super fun and captures the essence of JoJo not only by introducing stands but being able to be thoroughly enjoyable and have garnered me more appreciation for it over time after I had finished the part. 5/6. pt 5 Golden Wind has so much texture and flavor to it and so much to love, however like many I feel as if Giorno just makes the the part feel more vanilla then it truly is (it’s anytbing but bland). All of the supporting characters are stellar in their own way, and the most interesting imo, Trish and Fugo get criminally underused. The part starts in a great way, with a truly awesome introduction to Gio but my main problem with Giorno is not the fact that’s he not as outlandish or crazy as other JoJo’s but bc he simply doesn’t get enough time to flesh out and solidify that his quiet demeanor is why he’s special. He techinally shouldn’t exist, because of DIO with Johnathon’s body, and that’s super interesting. I don’t mind him never finding out the true nature of his heritage, tbh, but I wish the part would have devoted a little more time to his internal thoughts of always feeling like an anomaly within the world (he techinally is but found his purpose and home with Bruno and gang). Despite all these criticisms GW still manages to be an incredibly solid part with amazing fights and characters. Diavolo’s reveal was great and I actually like the final battle tbh but if he was either revealed in the same manner earlier or given more time between Rissoto and the final battle that would have def helped. Still an interesting villain tho. 4. Pt 2 Okay tbh even tho it feels like I just bashed on pt 5 I still thought pt 5 was a great great part so BT isn’t too far above it . Even tho it’s by far not the the best written part, it’s the part that truly hooked me and most other fans on JoJo. Nothing much I can say abt Joseph that hasn’t been said alr- he’s an absolute blast and manages to make the part amazimg just with his presence. I actually rly like the pillar men I just wish they were utilized more. The biggest flaw of this part is that it’s fast pace doesn’t allow for what could have been a bombastic but introspective story to come into fruition, but makes it tend to lean more towards that first genre more so. Kars’ and the pillar men’s backstory is so enjoyable and intriguing to me, super fantasy like. Caeser and Lisa Lisa are criminally underused as well. Still love caeser tho, I think he works so well as both a JoBro and an force to butt heads with Joseph’s ego, along with being a compelling motivation for Joseph to better his hamon skills. 3 & 2. Pt 4 and 7: These two are REALLY hard for me to decide on tbh bc of how different they are, so they go *together*. Staring w DIU, It’s the part that made me truly love JJBA, so I’ ll have a special place for it in my heart. The blend of slice of life and murder mystery works so well I’m a way only JoJo could pull off. Kira is a baller of an antagonist who def shines in all the right ways. I don’t actually mind Josuke being sometimes outshone by his friends and other citizens of Morioh, I think it helps builds the town and make the audience feel all the more attached. Josuke still manages to come through and shine in all the right ways as well and it really just solidifies how JJBA is about both it’s protagonists and the world they live in as well. I love everything about this part so much. The previous parts were Alr so amazimg and tbis one just elevates it to the max. I don’t hate or even strongly dislike any of the side “filler arcs” and I can go on and on abt the depths of Kira’s character and what his character is commentating about our society at large and our definitions of “normal”. The halfway plot twist of him switching faces is one of my favorite moments in all of fiction no lie it was a perfectly written twist that didn’t feel contrived or forced at all. Pt 4 is a true subversive masterpiece imo. Now. SBR is a completely different case. It’s commentary on society and nationalism and so many other things r front and center and it has similar story techniques as pt 4 with having super enjoyable side villains and stories that sometimes come into play later down the line and a mysterious main villain who slowly gets revealed. Johnny is def a contender for my fav JoJo, it’s between him and Jolyne, i can’t rly decide. He’s a very flawed person but fits right in as the perfect protagonist / other half of tbe protagonist duo (gyro is sm more than a JoBro cmon). Gyro is a super intriguing and badass and lovable character who is written an enormously satisfying way that shows how much araki had improved with character growth and pacing over the years. The characters are so refined in this part, not even just Johnny and Gyro, who might be the best Jo/Bro duo In the whole series. Diego is an awesome redoing of DIO and hot pants is a personal fav of mine. Ringo, Wekapiko stand out too. FV is the perfect villain in how despicable he is yet how he still manages to be a deep villain who embodies the larger themes of the story and manages to still leave you with a feeling of unease even after he’s defeated and dead. High voltage was also one of the best arcs of JoJo ever fight me. 1. PT 6 One of my absolute favorite works of fiction, NGE wishes it could be Stone Ocean. This Part perfectly embodies what JoJo is to me. It wraps up the themes and feuds of the og universe perfectly while still managing to shine as it’s own part that is both independent of and beautifully interwoven with the history and themes of the whole series. This is best exemplified through my fav JoJo and JoFoe, Jolyne and pucci. They both have deep connections to past characters who have been vital to the series as a whole but that doesn’t make them feel dragged down or dependent on those characters’ existences. Araki takes their relationships with those characters and builds off it to create a truly beautiful part that makes JoJo the glorious series that it is. I simply cannot Talk fully in depth about how much I love SO in a you tube comment. The characters are fantastic and can carry elevate the part even with some of its (very few) weaker arcs; the villain is one of my favorite in all of fiction and so perfectly written; the plot is written so unpredictably yet fascinatingly. I absolutely love Stone Ocean and JoJo as a whole.

Summary: 1. Part 7 2. Part 6 3. Part 8 4. Part 4 5. Part 3 6. Part 5 7. Part 2 8. Part 1 Elaboration: 1. Steel Ball Run Aside from the Overall Stand Roster (Which Part 6 Has it beat in, Although 7 has has many of My Favourite Stands too) This is my favourite part in every metric. Characters, Story, Themes, Plot, Fights ect. This is the only part I can't think of a single gripe for beyond "Who Shot [REDACTED]" Making no fucking sense and the fact that while it has the best Progression in Quality as it continues, the 1st Arc is one of the weakest in all of JOJO. The Final 3 Fights are All like Top 10 Best Fights in the Whole Series and at least half of that top ten is Steel Ball Run Fights. This is not just my Favourite Part but one of my Favourite Works of Fiction Ever Made. 2. Stone Ocean The peak of the Main Universe in all its Characters, Themes, Story and Stands. This part is the epitome of everything Jojo had been to that point and is a perfect conclusion to the original Saga. Though I prefer Steel Ball Run I consider this to be the Perfect distillation of what JOJO is and represents. Araki takes everything Parts 4 and 5 taught him and blends it with facets of Part 3 to create the most Jojo part of Jojo. My biggest criticism is that Pucci often feels like he gets bailed out by Araki just handing his already Busted Stand more abilities to get him out of situations rather than Cleverly using his existing ones combined with Will Power the way other Villains like DIO Or Kira would. Like seriously White Snake goes from having like 2 Powers to having genuinely about a Dozen, I fucking hate it and he only gets away with it on the merit of otherwise being such a Fantastic Villain. Getting Lucky like with C-Moon is one thing, but pulling new abilities out of your ass in a series about cleverly using your powers in creative ways just feels cheap. Best Ending. Best Villain. 3. Jojolion A Fantastic Part which succeeds the most in the more Psychological Elements of the series. Although I prefer several other main characters and plots this one definitely has the most interesting Protagonist, Tension and Premise, although its let down for me by its lacklustre ending, Mediocre (by Jojo Standards) Villains and the fact that 2 Characters that were way more interesting and would've been better Protagonists are dead before the story even Starts- One of whom is my Favourite Jojolion character and one of my favourite Jojo Characters. 4. Diamond Is Unbreakable The Narrative treatment of Kira as a Villain and Jotaro as a returning Protagonist alone could put it here. Both characters are so Perfectly handled to fit the Story as Kira is a more adaptive Villain often on the backfoot like Pucci rather than "Look at me I have an invincible power until you get something that happens to perfectly counter it through luck and bullshit." (No Shade at Part 7, it actually does this really well, but Parts 3, 5 and 8 do it in ways that don't feel very earned or interesting) Jotaro gets way better treatment than Joseph, he's given reduced screentime but unlike Part 3 + 4 Joseph he is still treated with great respect, reverence and as a force to be reckoned with. But at the same time not invincible especially when he has to protect other people (something Araki would again use against him in Stone Ocean). Literally everything Kira does after meeting Jotaro is to avoid Jotaro SPECIFICALLY because he is that much of a threat. This part also just has my Favourite Setting and a wonderful cast of characters and creative fights. Crazy Diamond is the best Main Protagonist Stand in terms of how versatile and creative it can be and the focus distribution between all the other characters is really well done. Some of my Favourite parts of this Arc don't even involve a Joestar. Although Josuke ends up not feeling as much like a Main Character, something that Araki doesn't get right again fully until Stone Ocean. 5. Stardust Crusaders Although Jotaro is a pretty weak Protagonist (The Anime does him Dirty and hes way more interesting in his later Appearances, Part 6 Jotaro is one of my Favourite characters in Fiction), Avdol and Kakyoin are Cardboard Cutouts, Joseph has a role that is overly reduced in a way that's hard to justify and Polnareff gets way too much screentime despite not really coming into his own as a Character until the End Of The Part (where he is then Swiftly Jobbered so Jotaro can finish his 1v1, something the OVA changes really well). Most of the Story also happens and the beginning and end with most fights being kinda skippable. But even with all of that I can't help but Love this part. It has some many memorable fights and moments and ultimately as a mostly episodic part that is what matters mainly. I think much of my love recently has been watching the OVA Series (kzfaq.info/sun/PLROZxb2vqH18qwV_9UDsFXWEoRgowBxMP), which does a lot to make the Plot more Streamlined, less overly episodic and just generally better and more interesting. Kakyoin and Joseph are much more Powerful and are given more to do. The Strength, Silver Chariot, Justice, Geb, Cream and The World fights are all improved significantly and the story becomes shorter but more narratively dense in a way that's more interesting: Avdols return happens during another fight, Polnareff is Introduced during the Strength Fight, the fights with DIO and Vanilla Ice happen Simultaneously and with a much better sequence of events. I think anyone that has first read the Manga or watched the 2015 Series should give this alternate take a shot as it does a lot of things differently and many of those changes are better. But even without the OVA, this Part is just so fun and carefree despite the serious premise (OVA is very serious however), and when it does get serious - in whatever form. It is fantastic. Also Jotaro is just fucking Cool. 6. Golden Wind Okay this part is great but its flaws are too glaring for me to ignore so I will start with those. Giorno sucks. Giorno really sucks. Like Jotaro in Part 3 he has reasons within the narrative to act in the boring way that he does. But Jotaro is at least really Cool and has a personality that is unique and memorable when surrounded by bombastic Gigachads. Giorno is just bland and hurt further by the fact that we know much less about him outside of what the plot needs than other Joestars - in Part because Part 5 happens over just a few weeks (which also hurts the credibility of Giornos strong relationship with literally everyone). We at least get to see Jotaro and Josuke at school interacting with normal people, Jonathon growing up, Joseph relaxing with his Grandmother, Jolyne having casual interactions with Inmates, Johnny vibing with Gyro and Gappy adjusting to social norms and being weird. We never get to see anything of substance that tells us about Giornos normal life outside of the plot. And it hurts him massively as a character as he just feels less like a person. Combine that with the Fact that Bruno, Abbachio and Trish would all make better main characters and Giorno honestly feels like he takes more from the story than he adds which is something I can only otherwise say of Joshu from Part 8 who is at least not the MAIN CHARACTER. Giorno rant over. This part is otherwise really great, it gives 6 a run for its Money in terms of best roster and has the most consistently interesting and cool Stands of any Part. Stand Outs are Sticky Fingers, Moody Blues, Spice Girl, Purple Haze, Metallica and Sex Pistols. Any Bruno or Mista Fight is top 30 Fights in the entire series and my main gripe is the fact that most characters like Trish and Fugo are great but feel very underused. This part has so many fantastic elements and is mainly let down by the worst ending of a Part and the fact that those elements are diluted by its flaws. 7. Battle Tendency A fan favourite but for me Stands are so amazing and huge that any part without them is always gonna be low. I think Joseph is the best Protagonist we get until Jolyne and Wammu is great but compared to his later works the cast is otherwise pretty barren unless we count returning members. Speedwagon and Erina are aged really well and serve great roles in the story. Straizo is the best possible Villain you could use to open the Part and Josephs fight with him along with the prior cop encounter give him the best introduction any main Joestar has ever had besides maybe Jotaro. Tbh Joseph's character basically carries this part, although there is no justifyable reason in universe for him to be as clever and streetwise as he is, he's just so fun to watch and steals every scene Dub or Sub. "Your next line is" is the coolest gimmick I've seen in fiction. 8. Phantom Blood One of the best endings to a part and Dio basically being the main character for the first half is really interesting but this Part is the most basic and least Jojo Part. Its and adventure and its Bizarre but Battle Tendency is for me where the Series Starts to get the feeling of Jojo. Just a solid Action Horror about a huge guy fighting his Vampire Step Brother and then having one of the most Shocking and well handled deaths in all of fiction which took MASSIVE BALLs to do in the late 80s when a main character basically was their series. It also set up future stakes and makes every part better as from pretty early on Araki shows us that no character is safe in the parts to come. A promise he makes good on, unless you have Part 4 Plot Armour, like seriously nobody of relevance dies in Part 4.

my part ranking (some of these are so close they're basically interchangeable, obviously spoilers for all of jojo) 1. Battle Tendency - young joseph is easily my favorite jojo, he makes the entire part. every second he's on screen, it's amazing. the story is completely over the top, but it *knows* it's over the top, something that jojo kind of loses after this imo. none of the characters are particularly nuanced or deep, but it's super fun and goofy, yet serious when it needs to be, and those serious moments really hit. the climax is incredible, and it's just overall a great part. 2. Diamond is Unbreakable - it's slice-of-life elements are really fun, some of the most entertaining characters in the series, i like the setting of morioh, and kira is a fantastic antagonist. some arcs can be lame, but usually they arcs are entertaining in one way or another, be it because they're goofy, or because they're serious and you're actually invested. another fantastic part. 3. Stone Ocean - this one's really close, almost a tie with part 4. i really like the idea of this part, but i think the first half isn't nearly as interesting as the second. pucci is one of my favorite antags, and some of the other characters are really great. probably the best ending to a jojo part. the arcs are very hit or miss, however, they're either awesome (heavy weather, made in heaven, savage garden/torrential downpour warning, whitesnake the pursuer) or really uninteresting (dragon's dream, bohemian rhapsody, awaken). but overall it's fantastic. 4. Steel Ball Run - johnny is a fantastic protag, and gyro is great too. it's almost never uninteresting, even the minor arcs are good. it has really good characters, a cool setting, a great villain. it's just a solid part all around, but i don't think i'm as emotionally attached to it as other parts. i simply prefer the ones above this, i guess. but yeah sbr is fantastic like the others i just mentioned. 5. JoJolion (?) - here's where i start to get really iffy. JJL's ranking is constantly switched around in my mind with part 5 and 1, so idk. i like some stuff about it, i hate some stuff about it, but i dont think there's a whole lot here i *LOVE*. josuke's cool, the concept of a character who is a fusion between 2 others is awesome, the mystery element is kind of interesting, etc. but some of the arcs are just flat out boring, it has one of the worst in the whole series for me which is the one where josuke and jobin just fight beetles for like 4 chapters. i dislike toru, but the radio gaga incident ties everything together really nicely. it has heart, but it's a mixed bag overall. i still like it though. 6. Golden Wind - i hate giorno. i think he's boring. the rest of the cast is pretty good tho. abbacchio's death makes me cry like a baby lol. most of the arcs are pretty solid, i dont care much about diavolo, and overall im just not very attached to part 5. it's alright, it's not BAD. 7. Phantom Blood - it's good, just too short to really be ranked above the others. i like jonathan and speedwagon, and i think dio in this part is hilariously over the top and i love it. great conclusion. but some fights are kinda boring. 8. Stardust Crusaders - i dislike the villain of the week format. i think jotaro in this part is extremely unlikeable, and the rest of the cast are insanely boring except for polnareff. some arcs are good, but most of them aren't too interesting. it's also way too long. also i think dio is less enjoyable to watch compared to part 1. still not terrible or anything, but i don't particularly love part 3. oingo boingo arc is goated tho lmao

Phantom Blood is by no means bad, but it's just so different and I was thrown off seeing hamon and not stands. It's definitely risen super high in my favorite series' I've seen. Every part is just so unique and different with a huge array of cast members, and of course, stands are just one of the coolest power systems in anime and manga. My Parts Ranking: 1) Battle Tendency 2) JoJoLion 3) Steel Ball Run 4) Diamond is Unbreakable 5) Stone Ocean 6) Vento Aureo 7) Stardust Crusaders 8) Phantom Blood Some justifications: - Battle Tendency I think did a lot right, it wasn't very deep and the pillarmen were kinda meh aside from Wamuu. Overall though, Joseph made the Part a blast, I also like Wamuu a lot. Most importantly though, it played off the expectations Part 1 set perfectly, I don't think any other Part took advantage of expectations like Battle Tendency did. Some fights were sorta meh but unlike other Parts, the meh fights were so short that it didn't detract much at all. Most side characters were okay, not bad but not great either, Stroheim is awesome though, and I also like the rivalry between Joseph and Caesar. By far my favourite Part no contest. - JoJoLion was so damn good and it really hit me on a personal level, I was going through an identity crisis when I came across it, so it hit harder than any other Part did just by coincidence. The minor villains were mostly really good (with few exceptions). Josuke was a really fun character, and Jobin was really well written. Can't say much for the rest of the cast, they felt sorta shafted, Yasuho was neat but I really didn't like Paisley Park. Unfortunately doesn't land #1 spot because the entire Part fell off at the end. It's like somebody made you the perfect meal, and then dumped a bucket of mustard on top. I don't even know how Araki managed to fall off so hard at the end of what is otherwise such a good Part. - Steel Ball Run I admittedly have completely forgotten. Due to it being the next Part to be animated, I don't have any intention to re-read in order to gain any real memory of it. All I remember was that I really enjoyed it, Valentine was one of the best villains, and Gyro was a really fun character. There were definitely a lot of Parts that felt slow/boring but JoJo is always like that so it's moreorless negligible. - Diamond is Unbreakable had a satisfying ending, and that's really rare for JoJo. Kira is one of the best JoJo villains, Josuke is one of my favourite JoJo's, and Okuyasu is one of the most enjoyable characters in the series. Minor villains were very meh aside from a few, and unlike Battle Tendency, those fights were actually longer so it took away a lot more from it. Also I did not like Koichi or Yukako. - Vento Aureo's La Squadra were the best minor villains in the series with the only possible exception being the Damokan from JJL. Giorno was meh most of the time but the rest of the main cast were very enjoyable characters. Mista especially, and Bruno's ability was used so well. Falls off at the ending like JoJoLion, but I personally didn't enjoy it overall as much as JoJoLion, can't really explain why. - Stardust Crusaders had poor pacing and meh main cast (aside from Polnareff). It was definitely one of the hardest to sit through, manga was better but not by enough to salvage it. Honestly I was in it for Polnareff. - Phantom Blood Dio is cool I guess that's about it. Only positive of Phantom Blood is that it's so short that it's not much of a waste of time. If Battle Tendency was the same level of quality as Phantom Blood was I can safely say I never would have watched the rest of JoJo. Edit: I forgot Stone Ocean. Jolyne was good, Pucci was good, ending was almost good but there are a few parts about it that will forever annoy me. 1) Jotaro can break skulls with Star Platinum, why did he choose to spare Pucci when he punch rushed him? 2) Anasui distracted Pucci, leaving Jolyne to be able to setup any attack while Pucci is off guard. Instead of hitting him unconcious she pats his face. 3) The waves sharedded the land, but for some reason didn't shred the main cast. The ending was creative but knowing it would've been a happier ending without the sacrifices (aside from F.F) and all they had to do to achieve it was actually kill the mf instead of patting or sparing him. The idea they were that close to a happy ending just for it to be taken away because of that annoys me so much and it sours the whole ending for me.

Personal Part Ranking: #1 Stone Ocean. First part that I read the manga for (and so glad I did the anime did NOT do it justice imho). I think this is the most JoJo part there is. The other parts prior heavily feature the aspects of JoJo that make it, well JoJo. But Part 6 features them all and cranks it up to its peak. #2 Steel Ball Run If Stone Ocean is the highest point of JoJo, Steel Ball Run is its Evolution. There's a lot of changes with the introduction of Steel Ball Run. Many of them good. Johnny is possibly my favorite Protagonist ever. Gyro is a good mentor and entertaining character in his own right. The entire part constantly had me invested and invoked such powerful emotions in me. #3 Jojolion. It was at some point my favorite Part but as the Manga started to wrap up I was rather unhappy with its conclusion. Not to say it was bad but I felt it was a little mediocre for JoJo. I also may be biased because there were a whole lot of cool theories about Jojolion's ending and such but none (that I've seen) were remotely close. Still a wonderful part with cool and unique characters, great to see a new version of Morioh with just as much love put into it as the original. #4 Phantom Blood. By today's standards it's a rather simple story (once you remove the classic JoJo weirdness from it) but I like it's simplicity. There's very little that's ambiguous in this series and while making for a less complex story line and characters, it shines in a different way than other stories can. Jonathan is defined by being honest, honorable, understanding, compassionate. He's a Paragon of humanity who inspires those around him to be better. #5 Diamond is Unbreakable. _This is also in the running for my favorite part but for different reasons than the ones above._ Part 4 to me is just. So different for me in general. This feeling of a small town with important locations we roam through. This peaceful atmosphere where almost nothing happens. I'm quite aware that there's a number of people who loathe the "slice of life" aspects in Part 4. Causing them to either skip the part or only stay to get to Kira. Tastes vary and I get that but for me that Slice of Life is the best and most crucial part of DiU. The peace of this town is what's at stake. Not any one individual life, or something as grand as the end of the world. It's something more personal. The threat of taking away your home. It's a real home too. Filled with colorful locations and people with all sorts of backgrounds. It's in the lower half of _this list_ but DiU and shows like it will always have a special place in my heart. #6 Golden Wind. Don't have much to say here. It's just a solid Part. Solid character designs, Solid action, Unique stands and abilities. Don't think there's a single bad thing in this part. #7 Stardust Crusaders. Now. The kickoff. The turning point for JoJo where EVERYTHING truly changed. The introduction (and reintroduction) of so much that makes this franchise so Iconic. Stands, DIO, Crazy combat. It just dragged a little (in the anime at least) I thought they'd NEVER get to DIO's house at one point. It also just has some inevitable flaws from being (relatively) early into Jojos lifespan and trying many new things. That aside it's earned its reputation and high status in the Fandom. #8 Battle Tendency. Now this is where I get shot by everyone. Again everyone has their own tastes, opinions and their entitled to it. My view is that Battle tendency has the most flaws of any JoJo part while not providing enough pros to balance it out. It certainly has its merits and there is much to enjoy but it's so bogged down by trying to be too much too early. Imho it's way too overrated by the Fandom. The best part of it is Joseph and even then Part 3 and 4 Joseph are way better.

Anime-only here; my rankings are: 1. Stardust Crusaders: Jotaro is still my main nigga of the entire series, as well as the part in general having the most flavor; it's also the most rewatchable. 2. Phantom Blood: The first three episodes were a masterclass of an introduction, and a classic nigga story. 3. Diamond is Unbreakable: Felt the most unique compared to everything else the series had in terms of animation, character, and atmosphere. 4. Phantom Blood: A dub for pacing and energy, but L's for Kars and the main cast not being that strong. 5. Golden Wind: Giorno straight bogged down the entire story, and Diavolo was just an awful and confusing villain. Only thing saving the part was the animation, fights, and other characters. 6. Stone Ocean: The anime was just an entire slog to get through. Jolyne was trash, most of the fights were trash, and animation was not it.

1. Jojolion Best stands, best battles, best character development, best plot, best drip. what more is there to say? 2. Golden Wind Layed down the themes of fate strongly, along with a great main crew, awesome stands and battles, and a good plot 3. Steel Ball Run I really don't have a justification for putting it this low, I just really love the above ones, that being said SBR is amazing, being a perfect reboot to the series, and great beginning for this universe 4. Stone Ocean An amazing end to the original continuity, with a great plot, great characters, and stellar stand battles 5. Diamond Is Unbreakable Your jack of all trades part. Great characters, plot, themes, setting. None of it is top tier but really good and a great part overall 6. Stardust Crusaders Most classic jojo part. brought us stands, the most iconic MC. other than that the characters are ... ok... the plot is decent, albeit slow, but the final fight is top tier 7. Battle Tendency Joseph carries, but really other than him, there isn't much. The plot is ok, the characters are lackluster, and this is when hamon starts to reach its limits, kinda stifling its capabilities 8. Phantom Blood Not suprising, but its cool in its own ways. Johnathan is the ultimate gentleman, speedwagon is cool, and DIO is a decent villian for what he is. None of these parts are bad, obviously, but those are my favorites :)

I really hate that Requiem was introduced in part 5 but never brought up again (Not GER specifically, the concept of Requiem itself) and the part has nearly zero influence on the overarching plot of JoJo. Part 4 could have been lower for this same reason but I think Josuke and the other Characters bring it a lot higher, plus it had a satisfying ending. One thing that I will give Giorno is that he has a good motivation, but the other 5 of the animated JoJos goals can basically be summarized as “defeat the big bad guy”. I should say that I love JoJos but it still has its flaws.

Here is my controversial ranking of Jojo parts: 1. Steel Ball Run 2. Golden Wind 3. Stardust Crusaders 4. Battle tendancy 5. Stone ocean 6. Jojolion 7. Phantom Blood 8. Diamond is unbreakable I put DIU at the bottom because I really didn't enjoy it. Even on a rewarch I find that part tedious and uninteresting. It's massively carried by cool stands but suffers from boring characters. On a second or third pass even parts I didn't vibe with as much (Phantom Blood + Jojolion) started to shine in their own right and I started enjoying them. But DIU is always a chore for me to watch no matter how many times I've tried.

I haven't read the manga, but my ranking is: 1. Stardust 2. Stone Ocean 3. Battle 4. Phantom Then Diamond and Golden I'll be honest and say that I enjoyed the Jotaro and then the Koichi and Jotaro parts in Diamond. The rest was meh. It was too slow for me. That being said, no Jojo's part is bad. It's really just a matter of taste. For example, Stardust, for me, was akin to watching YuYu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin. The experience was that awesome for me. No other Jojo part has that effect on me. Stone Ocean was another absolute great from this series.

1. Phantom Blood: Peak Jojo, perfect pacing it gets so much done in nine episodes its unreal. Tomorrow's Courage remains the best ending of a Jojo episode even after six parts animated. Sono Chi no Sadame is the best OP, Roundabout is the ending theme. 2. Stone Ocean: Used to be third best after a power gap for me but the anime made me love it even more, its the perfect end point for the first six parts, Jolyne is maybe my favourite Jojo protagonist, her supporting characters are amazing, Pucci is such a unique villain and him desperate scrambling to keep going forwards in the heaven plan and Made in Heaven itself is one of my favourite final boss Stands it's on par with DIO's World for me. 3. Battle Tendency: Awaken is the best track in all of Jojo, the Pillar Men are incredible, Caesar's death has yet to be topped as a death scene, Kars the Ultimate Superbeing goes so hard I love him. 4. Steel Ball Run: I think it has a rough patch between Stands being reintroduced and chapter 25 or so but besides that its got a pretty consistent quality to it, D4C was one of the most intense fights in Jojo for me. 5. Jojolion: Jojolion is really good but it feels a bit more repetitive than SBR, lotta Josuke recapping. I also think it focuses a bit too much on him with the side cast basically having one arc for the entire story and then disapearing with the exception of Yasuho and unfortunately Joshu. WoU is an incredible final boss, even if it doesn't get the build I'd've liked 6: Stardust Crusaders: This is carried almost entirely on the back of DIO's World and a handful of other stellar episodes in the second half, I think DiU is more consistent, but Stardust really suffers from growing pains with the Stands and it can feel a bit samey IMO early on, but it picks up big time by the Egyptian Gods and DIO's World is one of my favourite arcs. 7: DiU: It's more consistently good than Stardust when Stardust is really good its really good so it pips it for me. Kira also is a bit hit and miss for me, when he's good he's good but when he's bad he's really bad 8: Golden Wind: La Squadra are great. Grateful Dead and Beach Boy is one of my favourite arcs in all of Jojo. The rest of it is a slog. Diavolo is garbage, Giorno's barely even the protagonist, there wasn't any good reason for him to be DIO's son.

1) Battle Tendency: I fuck w the pillarmen as characters and concepts too hard for anything else to be #1 but the pacing is engaging the whole time, Joseph and Caesar are great, the horror atmosphere is really played up here in a way that I find so cool, especially for the Santana fight. Favourite ost for how different it sounds from everything else. I also like Erina and speedwagon more as older people. Straizo also makes more of an impression here. The main villain being a closely involved trio is also something I'm fond of for the dynamics and hierarchy between them and playing into how both sides are experiencing losses that would garner a desire for revenge. 2) Golden Wind: I could elaborate for hours about why I love Giorno, I really feel like people don't give him a fair shake just because he interacts with a carefully crafted facade and that often involves a poker face. But anyway the part is also probably the most consistent in holding my attention for such a long period. Diavolo and Doppio are really interesting, I think they were handled well when you take into account that the first time we saw Diavolo's appearance was not at all the first time we spent time with him as a character. That was happening pretty frequently since right before the halfway point. I'm also actually a fan of the requiem scramble as a final battle specifically because it was so unorthodox. Like body swap among us was not at all what I went in expecting but I had such a good time following along with it. The other main cast were all great too and the fact they were all gangsters meant a lot of the humor and way they handled things had a more casual unhinged quality to it that's always fun. 3) Stone Ocean: This switches with Golden wind sometimes depending on what I'm feeling. It's probably not a coincidence these parts are top 3 with my favourite characters being Kars, Giorno and Weather. The prison gang as a whole are all quite up there for me, unfortunately I have to agree with people who said they didn't really show why they were friends. It's implied to be off screen with the one panel but I really would've wanted to see them all in one place at the same time because the dynamics were really fun. Everything after the prison break was some of my favourite Jojo though, and the ending battle was so visually and creatively cool it's probably one of the best. Jotaro was also much more endearing to me here and in part 4 as well even if I still like him decently in part 3. 4) Diamond is Unbreakable: Before I watched Jojo I was convinced to by hearing about the laser rats and while they weren't lasers I have received what I wanted. I have plenty of the usual praises about the season but I think I just don't like it quite as intensely as the others above. I actually like Joseph here more as a sparingly used cute old man trying to connect with his estranged son more than part 3. Their 2 reunion episodes kinda just get to me emotionally really bad. Josuke and Kira work great in their roles to and holy hell Reimi is so badass. 5) Jojolion: I need to reread it before part 9 but I like how abstract Araki was willing to get with the part and even it's structure. The heavy family theme is a pretty interesting angle to go with and rock humans are a neat for how highly specific the explanation of their life cycle and such is. The characters are a little hit and miss but there's definitely some I'm quite fond of. The part does kind of contain a lot of sexual harassment stuff though and while I don't think that's being portrayed as good it does get a little hard to read sometimes. 6) Stardust Crusaders: I'm not really a Dio Enthusiast so while the Final stretch was good it's not something that shoots it up my ranking. The stuff before that was a bit of a slog the first time but rewatches have helped when you have more of a sense of how far along in the journey you are. I like the crusaders well but I feel like Joseph could've been SLIGHTLY less disrespected and it would've bothered me less. It is generally fun though and people are a little hard or some of the characters when calling them cardboard because they definitely do have clear personalities. 7) Phantom Blood: The period before Dio turns into a vampire is probably my favourite Dio content to watch because it's interesting watching him struggle as just a really shitty guy with no powers. After that he's fine but I think his particular personality is more fun with the desperation and vulnerability front and center. The rest is like, fine. It's underappreciated but it's hard to put it much higher for myself. Jonathan is cute. 8) Steel ball run: I liked Diego, Lucy and the stretches right before each checkpoint that focused on the actual horse race strategy but something about spin wasn't landing for me the way it's expressed on a page (the art is great that's not it. but maybe motion will help), and I really can't bring myself to enjoy any of Valentine's screentime. Most of the important characters were good but not who I think of when considering who I like. It also kind of felt like anything I got my hopes up for was dashed with a not very up my alley alternative and as much as I tried to go in neutral, when the fandom hypes up part 7 to the degree it does I couldn't help but be kind of disappointed that it just wasn't my thing.

ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE BELIEVES Phantom Blood to be the worst JoJo Part it seems. which makes sense. People probably wont believe me when I like it a lot more than that.
