Evony is / was a good game until Evony went crazy 🤪 for money up until K35 it required strategic skill even up to K40 Was manageable even for F2P , lately in last year or so it’s become greedy too many general releases aka as you said MOFO , Loot boxes as you said , and the mental Spending ofc if can afford it and want to then go ahead but this game became famous due to covid , covid is over & it’s time to get back into the real world ! I’m a ex Evony player & one day just got up deleted game , gave up smoking same day & got my life back , prior to this I was in game upto 15 hours a day & was very good , one day I thought I’m wasting my time life in a virtual world of archers ground mount siege BOC / bog / svs that makes no difference to my life … but this is my personal opinion , my advice get out quick dump the keep , use that energy to do something real in real life what you Evony does teach you is that if you focus as much you do in Evony you probably can achieve anything good 👍 luck all the best

Good video. I'm f2p player and I find this game to offer immense amount of resources and things to tinker with for free. I've been tempted many times to spend something little to boost advance in game, but I've been able to resist the urge. Unlike Borgs think, my resistance is not futile, I base it on accepting the fact that no matter how much I spend, I ain't going to even in same galaxy with best of the players. Instead I concentrate on what I can do with my limited resources. So I set myself a goal to try to take 1 pair of gens (roland and aethel) as far as possible in game to run monsters effectively. Then for pvp, motivated by your thought of using them two, I'm going to pair up Minamoto and Genghis to form a all-purpose archer/ghost march to bg, reinforcing and attacking. I try to play this game as a support character to help my alliance within best of my ability, and that will bring me joy and hopefully occasional moments of success on individual level as well. I think you can enjoy this game via people you play with. Not every one has to be the hot shot big gun, you can be really important piece by just helping in tasks which don't require huge army and premium gens. If somebody is feeling anguish about their lack of firepower in the game, I suggest you to try this approach, it can be very rewarding! The amusing part is I started playing Evony a year ago to save money over another game I was playing. If only I could go back in time (VIP18 @ 10.2M points....do the math), I never would've downloaded this stupid game. I'm K39 and while K40 and T15's would be nice, they're not another $20k+ nice. But, like everything else in the world today, it's largely driven by immense amounts of greed. I have a few more "goals" I'd like to hit, and then I'll prob give my account to someone in my alliance. It's a money and time suck and I'm burned out.

Great video. Addictive like gambling or drugs. It is scam. Crazy to see people spends thousands on a mobile game.

I see people spend thousands on many different "activities" that can be construed as frivolous.....i.e. traveling, partying,, shopping, etc. We are just an amalgamation of our experiences. If a video game brings you joy, how is that any different than spending thousands on clothes, vacationing, cars, etc.? the problem comes in when you are spending outside your means, but again, that can be said about ANYTHING.

I always had a limit on how much i will spend for every new game i start once i hit that limit i stop spending. So many games out there to play that i never stick with just one sooner or later i always leave a old game for a new one.

I dont like the way Evony forces adverstments for you spend, super agressive way. But also I dont blame they to keep launching offer, people spend a lot in some shits because they just believe miracles happens, they buy expensive courses and mentorships that they never finish. So the money always going from the dumbiest to smarters, dont matter the way. I just dont wanna to be foolish by liers. If Evony say the truth, its ok, you are not obligate to spend. I spent around only $100 bucks till my K35 and i can play competitive. Ofc i saw some non sense guys that buy packages every week and ask in chat if gold sub is better than greens. But is what i said before, people spend their money as they like, and its fine. At least you have some fun. I can guarantee others big companys doing same or worst to sale. And to finish my thoughts addictive exist in many areas, this kind of people need see the doctar and having treatment, its not the game, its they. If not addict to the game they will easy find another thing, believe me.

1) We know about the general skins costs. Coiners like Baby Bear Sings & Gaming Addicts with Genghis have time again mentioned how much they spent, or have to spend, to get those items. (2) The entrapment example is too general. Women have often stayed with cheating husbands because of the amount of investment they have poured into the marriage. I don't recall psychologists saying that is entrapment. (3) Keeping up with players is not like it's written. We need to keep up with the bigger players because, time & again they have turned tyrannical. How do you not know that having played Evony? People spend $ to keep up so that they have a say on how they play and not become the prey of others. It's also about being in control. You are in control when you run rallies. Fou do it when you want and how you do it. Those following rallies are always slaved to another's play time and demands. They can't go anywhere. Always following the rally leaders wherever they decide to rally from. Rally leaders often call out others to search for bosses. It's known that those in upper management who control how they work are far more satisfied than their subordinates whose work is dictated by others. Same thing with games. Not just keeping up with others but being in control is more pleasurable and less stressful.

You missed a few key elements with some of this stuff. Such as the guaranteed chances on some of the events. So the skin for example is not “thousands of dollars” because of the guaranteed chance.

I normally do not spend on mobile games, but Evony got me to spend, unfortunately, lol! What's really funny though, when I go to new servers and I give advise to new players in wc, to not spend on Evony, that it's an expensive game, etc. Players always think I'm just being negative, even the ones who aren't new to Evony, I find that weird, but I guess, they don't want to feel bad about their addiction to Evony? Evony does have a way of making you spend and it's not necessarily the packs, lol!
