Well said. The iPhone & Macbook's market dominance in the West, especially in the US and to a lesser extent Europe, is insane. People keep paying the increasingly extortionate prices without realising half their money is no longer actually paying for the quality of the product but for the brand and Apple's R&D in other fields, there have been cheaper and better alternative products for years now.

It's absurd anyone paid $1000 for another iPhone. I am proud to say the last time I gave Apple any money was about 10 years ago when I bought a shuffle. I have two Windows PCs, an Android phone that is better than the iPhone and, well, tablets are useless. Apple is all about nickle-and-diming its customers - they spend a fortune on advertising convincing people to spend a fortune on their products. They don't want to provide people with a good value and a wholly complete product - they want to leave features out so people will pay more to add them. No thanks.
