I think the child seats were mainly designed to fit in the middle row where due the the falcon door opening. Thus the easier access while standing. 3rd row child seats was an afterthought but isofix are still there.

At 2:54, doesn't look like she was comfortable. Her boot was all twisted.

Would you really want to place young children in the rear row? I don't think I've ever seen a 7 seater with a child seat in the third row.

I’ve had my model x for about a year, I love all the times I’ve been camping in that thing, when I strap my daughter on 5 years and it’s raining not as much rain gets on me which is nice

I loved this review - trying to fit child seats is no joke, they are huge. I used to think our Pilot was big until we had kids. Model S wasn’t big enough so we got a minivan. The easiest time we had fitting car seats was with a truck oddly enough.

Suming up: Tesla should make their own Tesla baby buggy.

Im pretty sure you can move the middle row back and forth to provide extra leg room , the boot also has a false bottom and your buggy would of slid in sideways :)

That high black gloss on the seats will get soooo scratched with kids sitting in the back. Just think about it! That is crazy of Tesla to do this. Anybody who has kids know what kids do with their feet.

You missed a cool trick! We've found that you can gat a big off-road buggy ('Out and About Nipper') in the boot with all 7 seats up - just lift the half-shelf into the vertical position (or just leave it at home) and the buggy really nicely slots into the really deep space behind the 3rd row seats. Just thought this might help.

You should do a compare and contrast with the Porsche Cayenne Plug-in. With the troop in tow.

My family were concidering one but once my family got the options they wanted, it was very expensive so we opted with a Range Rover Sport which is still good

Would you recommend it for a family of 5? It’s one thing having a family member in the 3rd row once in awhile but what about 3 kids being ferried around daily?

The greatest summary of 1st world problems I have ever seen. FFS.

We have 2 rearfacing convertible car seats and they only fit in the 2nd row which makes the 3rd row only accessible from the rear. It also would make it difficult for tall people to fit in the front seats.

The falcon wings doors are good because when you try to get in the middle section and it is raining the falcon doors act like a canopy

What is special is that a showroom employee at my nearest Tesla showroom told my dad that the falcon wings are so heavy that it uses a small electric motor to operate the car and I love the sound the falcon wings do, it is very futuristic

well look! 4:09 Don't go assuming that gran not being able to buckle her seatbelt easily is some unusual thing. any time I give a ride to someone elderly they take 10mins to buckle their seatbelt...even in their own vehicle. LOL

If the toddler carseat is installed in the 2nd row seat, are you able to move that seat enough for someone to enter the 3rd row of seats?

what i am confused about, and if anyone can answer my question please do, i was configurating a model x online and it shows when you option on the seven seats the second row middle seat is smaller than the other seats, and the seats are a bench, n videos and pictures i have seen it shows that the middle seat in the second row has a bigger middle seat, and it is not a bench but they do not offer this option online. i also have a model x with two rows, and it has a bench so this makes sense because it is only two rows. thank you for your help

I am surprised that I have not heard anything related to practical everyday issues that all vehicles vehicles need to have such as how is the heating and air condition g system. Does the car interior heat up quickly on cold days and does the system drain the battery quicker,? Ride quality, I heard you made a spilt second reference to this but it is one of the most important feature of any car when a driver has to live with a car for an extended period of time.

It's so family friendly The third raw is just a extra and the front space is again an extra so they are meant to for small things only so don't judge the car bcz u can't use it's EXTRA add-ons

This car is also crash tested by the NHSTA to be the safest car they ever had to test. Scored a 10, broke their crash barrier. Next safest car they've ever tested is the Model S. Good video about a guy in Washington State who is in a Model 3, stopped in a traffic line, and someone rear ends him at 40 to 50 mph, no skid marks. I don't know what happened to the teenager who drove straight into him, no brakes, but everyone in his car walked away without a scratch. His cameras and other delicate equipment in the rear storage area weren't even damaged, slightly.

leg room looks appalling, and it doesn't seem very family friendly for a 7 seater. I can fit rear facing and forward facing child seats in my Galaxy absolutely no problem at all and I can still get the buggy in the boot with all seats in place, and it's much more spacious thanks to it not having a sloping roof, sitting in the 3rd row of the Tesla must be claustrophobic.

Why would you want to put a baby seat in the 3rd row? I don't see your point about the seats, there's a bit of jigging around with all cars when it comes to child seats.

i sat in one of these in the mall. i wanted to see how the 3rd row was. it was horrible. the seat in front of you is right in your face. no knee room. it is so claustrophobic. felt like i was trapped. i needed to get out. there was no way to get myself out. no button to open the seat out of the way. there was no manual latch to get my ass outa there. i was at the mercy of someone else to let me out. 3rd row is CLAUSTROPHOBIC !!!
