I work in medicine. Tackle is nice and all but our brains are not meant to be in head on collisions. Each injury can have a lasting permanent effect even though it may not be noticed. Flag is a great idea for younger kids.

The Average Joe I’m 13 and have played TACKLE football for 8 years. Brain injuries really come down to how well educated on proper technique the player is. I started at outside linebacker on defense and tight end on offense for 6 of the 8 seasons, not missing a single play of most games, and my brain is perfectly fine.

Youth Football is a lot different in Utah then where I played in South Florida. I played in a 12-13 year old league and a lot of the kids were literally the size of Adults. I had multiple players on my team who were running the 40 in 4.7-4.9 seconds. Youth football is a lot more brutal down here.
