It’s no secret that Dan likes a beer or two, but after not riding his road bike all that much for a year, just how fit did he get following a 10 week training plan from the Sufferfest? Dan’s been training for only 5 hours a week but just how much has he improved?

Dan is the coolest; a natural on camera, genuinely likable, and despite the self-deprecating humor still a damn strong cyclist. Absolutely perfect for GCN. Big high five, my man.

Hats off to GCN, this was so real and so core to what many of us older riders experience. Remembering what we used to do, and recognizing that age is a gift that can be bittersweet. Lloyd inspires by opening his life to his reality, which isn't very far from the rest of us with children, careers, commutes, etc... After seeing his honest numbers, I feel a lot better about mine which have also slipped over a couple decades. I would like to say THANK YOU Lloyd for letting the viewers into your life and seeing the real you. I must say, I was actually shouting at my video watching you perform, did you hear me?

Bought a smart trainer and started sufferfest a couple months ago, due for another 4dp in a couple weeks. I can see the gains already, workouts that were difficult at the beginning are now easier, my HR stays lower, and I'm increasing the difficulty on workouts. The program works and I don't feel like getting off the trainer like I used to on the rollers in the garage. The video, music and jokes on screen all make it a lot more tolerable to train inside.

I'm a huge fan of the Sufferfest - it's the best indoor training app around, for my money - and doing this series (and getting others to do the plan with you) really demonstrates the advantages of structured training.
