Just because the king pin is tight in the axle housing does not mean it is tight in the bushings. I am from Canada and have done many axle rebuilds on the front of school buses. no play but moves free in the bushings but always tight in the center section of the axle housing. Should know what your talking about before you are so quick to criticize others. what are your skills. Bet you could not do this job. too much brute strength needed. They have a big powerful press and they use it to hold the work while hammering in those kingpins almost certainly mushrooming them in the process, should be pressing them in. Also don't think the lubrication in the kingpin bearing will like being cooked in the fire when they tried to anneal/soften the axle to straighten it, should have done that before assembly.
