“It’s the same vocabulary, using a different dictionary”…. and it’s happening right under our noses. The Shame Industry’s intimidation inhibits many from calling bullshit on anti-colonialism, systemic racism, gender identity, white misandry, denigration of western values, etc. It is all so Orwellian, and as a 75 year old witnessing the erasure of history from my grandkids schools, it is even more depressing. We’re wasting our time dealing with the fallout of woke, S. J., and identity, and not fixing the things that are actually broken. “There’s no reward for doing the right thing when facing down the howling mob. Does it seem like there is a global pandemic of busybody-ism? I diagnose the problem as coming from a surplus of bureaucrats that are trying to justify their sinecures. When do we go back to giving people like this real jobs? We need to be better than our adversaries, whose only skill is to bark orders all day and confirm payments to those than violently enforce literal implementation of those orders, often without any real distinction between civilian and military. Number of positive laws (prescribing action) exceeds negative one (forbidding undesirable actions) by hundreds thousands of pages, in a manner quite representative of Confucianism-derived utilitarian legalism - actually Hegel's 'realized necessity' is strikingly similar concept.

The US has the emergency stopgap of the First Amendment. The woke are trying their best to trick people by repeating the same lies until they are believed. In the US the first amendment does protect hate speech no matter how hateful. The left keep saying it does not but it is not true. Hate crimes are prohibited (an actual crime compounded) but hate speech is not. Some cities and states have passed hate speech laws which are unconstitutional they stand because they are not challenged.

Well the “shocking” surge to the “far” right in the European elections shows electorates can still influence change. The operative word being ‘still’. The question is how much longer will electorates be able to do something similar with the coming of AI and CBDC? It’s one reason I may vote Tory. The only chance we have of electoral reform that truly reflects the will of electorates is if Labour doesn’t get a huge majority and needs to work things out with a smaller party that can leverage their support for electoral reform. In the last election the Lib Dems were the alternative to Tory in my constituency but thanks to boundary changes it’s now Labour, and though I’m happy they’ll kick the Tories to the kerb I don’t want them to have a vast majority.

I've read probably 30 books over the last two years just on the societal imposition and implications of gender-ideology and critical race theory for example. I find it is a lot of hard work to be informed regarding the variety of perspectives regarding any given issue - but that it leaves me in a position to decide for myself who/what/which perspective makes the most sense "at this given point in time" - rather than simply parroting NPR or other MSM talking points, with one's only "evidence" consisting of yet more MSM "talking points." If you are lucky, maybe you'll even have one or two people in your life you can actually talk openly and honestly about the world with - though most will consider you a "conspiracy theorist" for simply having chosen to educate yourself and chosen to think for yourself.

I think the popular support for censorship of hate speech comes from the lack of value to speech that is a personal attack and intended to be provocative in discussions that are about important issues that people care about. There is a confluence of interests between people that want to censor views that they disagree with and people that don't want provocative people in discussions because it devalues the information they are interested in. It is even a good way to censor a person trying to address important issues by provoking tribal arguments around the topic that drown out the constructive arguments being made. It is also in the interest of power to extend it's power by preparing punative measures when a confluence of interest in censorship supports it's interests as well. This is a dangerous pattern for human rights and if we truly believe in a "marketplace of ideas" we need to understand that all speech is not equally valuable even if it is all freely spoken.

Yes But the point being made here is that the consequences of the setting into place of a system of censorship, such as we are witnessing, which is so vaguely defined and with the potential to have such severe and legally enforceable impact on your right to dissent should be of extreme concern to you if you value the nature of Western traditional democratic society.... especially as we transition into a future climate in which we already discern an array of predictably society shifting events looming upon the horizon. The spectre of an outbreak in any one of these events has the potential to result in a shift towards greater and more regulated societal control, aka totalitarianism. This is the point - Once you construct a system which is the mirror image of the methods and techniques used by a totalitarian ideology to control the masses....you had better be very diligent in your maintaining ideological control over that system. As is often quoted - "You can vote your way into socialism, but if it's not to your liking, you will have to fight your way out of it "

Yes... But....the point being made here is that the consequences of the setting into place of a system of censorship, such as we are witnessing, which is so vaguely defined and with the potential to have such severe and legally enforceable impact on your right to dissent should be of extreme concern to you if you value the nature of Western traditional democratic society.... especially as we transition into a future climate in which we already discern an array of predictably society shifting events looming upon the horizon.

Another issue is the amount of identification that many internet social/information platforms require. In some, maybe many, countries some platforms require a persons phone to sign up. So, there's the overreach of these platforms in accessing personal data and there is the lack anonymity that many would like would in speaking about "challenging(?)" topics. There is a distinct lack of freedom of speech implied. The WEF owned politicians of the global west love the fear and, most importantly, the silence this creates.

When you no longer control most media channels, you have no salient arguments, and you're losing your monopoly on power, then a sound strategy might be implementing tools that can silence and smear all opposition. The old guard is falling and they are in panic mode. And they won't go down without a fight.

This is usefully thought-provoking. It suggests that the real problem isn't just the censorship impulse itself--which arguably has been with us forever--but one of classic mission creep. 'Hate speech' legislation intended to avert another Holocaust is at least intelligible; but when policing discourse gets to the point where we can no longer poke fun at ourselves with ethnic jokes, or similarly satirize the characteristic foibles of men and women, you'd think the phrase 'too much of a good thing' would start to intrude itself into the consciousness of even the most enthusiastic censors. One needs always to be sensible, and have a sense of perspective. If a demented adult stood over a three-year-old and unleashed such a torrent of verbal abuse that the frightened child burst into tears, even a dedicated freedom of expression defender like Mr. Coleman would intervene to put a stop to the performance (so would you, I, and everybody else I know). But how do we get from this to 'protecting' university students from classic works of literature, on the ground that the encounters might make them feel 'unsafe?' This is mission creep on steroids, no? As for so-called 'misinformation,' it's a complete fraud. We say we've been 'misinformed' as a convenient shorthand for saying we've been given information that's inaccurate, incomplete, or in some other way unreliable; but it doesn't follow from this that there's any such thing as misinformation: ontologically, the presumed entities in this category would comprise a null set. Everything that comes to our attention is information; and what we're normally concerned to know about information is whether it's accurate, relevant, useful, etc., questions that can only be settled by empirical investigation. It's exactly such investigation that censors attempt to prevent. 'Misinformation' is a label in censorship's arsenal: it pretends that we already have answers to questions we haven't even been allowed to ask yet. If we want to stop falling for this transparent subterfuge, we should consider abjuring the use of its fraudulent vocabulary. Informational claims come in the form of propositions which can be true or false; but even the false ones are propositions, not mispropositions, and ascertaining their truth value is a right and responsibility that individuals can't ethically delegate to censors, whether official or unofficial. 'Infodemic?' Really? 'Bureaucrats gone mad' would be a more plausible diagnosis of what's currently ailing the information commons.

Freddy, you have just interviewed someone who has outlined the most outrageous of organised conspiracies but you don’ want to call it what it is. That is why one can’t be optimistic. People aren’t big enough to confront what is obvious. Hopefully your audience is more bold. I dare to call it a conspiracy.

Global Governance is inevitable at some point: * Power always draws more power centrally to itself. * Powers that collaborate will constraint power to themselves more than other powers. * Power designed to govern has the biggest problem in managing the majority of people ie macro scale * Power hence will de formulated at macro scale for macro scale resolutions! There are practical elements: Avoid wars, trade and economic cooperation, Resolve Global Environmental issues that are fundamentally shared. Pivotting the vast majority of the population towards these macro policies is inevitable. The method of doing so will involve deception, regulation, tightening of control over peoples' lives in many many areas that people don't think about. The most egregious expansion of this is indeed into speech then into behaviour and ultimately attempting to manipulate thought. This approach is bound to be taken by these large organizations which is a form of conditioning instead of a form of development and education of people's abilities to think. That's the real fundamental problem with global governance and it leads to its own form of tyranny and problems.

At a broader level, a threat is actually on the rise and most people feel it. Prior to the era of hyperconnected social networks mankind seemed to agree on the symbolic meaning of words. At present, for most people, there's less symbolic concepts people agree on outside their Internet bubble. Words like country, nation, patriotism, even care and love lost their bonding power and we have reasons to fear we might regress to a pre-symbolic cave era where language was used exclusively to give private names to things - a "tree" wasn't a general concept but a particular tree where X the son of Y decided to set the border of the tribe. No wonder the states are worried and people might desire an "undemocratic" intervention to re-establish the order in the symbolic.

When i look at my country in western europe at radio and stuff they keep a lot of stuff that can make politics look very bad out of the limelight. I think by doing that they create the illusion that everything always is fine which puts population in a sort of deep sleep. Interestingly this seems to relate to the woke epedemic going on right now.
